I saw a few good live videos of them in small US clubs back when I first travelled this rabbit hole a few years ago. I needed that to validate they were for real and not just a studio band. Also, thanks for the validation on the Pin Stripes. I've used them forever, with a black dot for the snare. I need my kit to sound like I'm hitting it as hard aa I am. Plus they stand up to the most brutal treatment, which is also important to me.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm looking out for you, and I would never give you live stuff, though (especially for a new band to you) unless it was from a professional broadcast that has good proper sound, and also that was not likely to get you blocked or result in a strike against your channel. It's my understanding that their record label is very aggressive. Most other live videos of all bands have horrible sound and no crowd footage, and certainly no translated lyrics. I don't think that represents the bands well; so this was as close as I could get.
Thank you for picking a Japanese song. There are many other great artists in Japan. maybe you already know…l recommend ◉“ One OK Rock ” very popular with foreigners. They have a lot of songs, but at first.“W e are” or“ Renegades “ Especially the live version is popular to watch . Can I recommend an obscure pick? Infantile by Toska. There's a video of they tracked the drums on this 10mins prog metal song in one take, and it's incredible
Lol, I also immediately noticed the ride/hihat editing mistake. What made it more jarring was how well everything else, aside from that short clip, seemed to sync up fairly well.
cool festival. lovemthe demons. going door to door asking if the wife gets up early do the kids obey parents are they crybabies. not sure if that would rate the sake and mochi. but glad to be introduced to this and the band
I think the the video and the sound matched 99%. If this was Lovebites then it would match 100%, because they are perfectionists. But here it was 99%, I think that is good. But, I understand that someone that is interested in drumming wants to see the actual thing. It makes it MUCH easier to comment on technique if you know that what you see is what you hear.
That clip is from their 25th anniversary tour (late fall 2014). The DVD was released Spring 2014. I believe Namahage was one of the encore numbers. Can't remember if it was last or second to last.
I actually have a lot of live footage of the band from concerts that were streamed live. Problem is that their record label, Tokuma Japan, is E X T R E M E L Y aggressive about copyright. They hit me with 27 copyright strikes at the same time 2 years ago. Like, my youtube account was fully locked and inaccessible to me. I had to literally beg them for almost two weeks through email with one of their reps and they finally agreed to drop 25 of them and made it clear they took note of my account and would be watching to see if I posted more. Anyway, my point is, be very VERY careful about doing a commentary of their live footage. If it's not from the official Tokuma Japan or official Ningen Isu channel, I strongly advise not using it.

That guys SG looks more like mine, than Iommi's. Tony trashes all his gear, mine's a '69 but pretty clean except for a couple stickers.
Nothing but respect for these guys, but the name Jap Sabbath just keeps rolling around my dumbass head. They've earned it.
Here's the fully live version of Namahage ruclips.net/video/rUvKusi05MA/видео.htmlsi=CibISEf6s9GTnHfB
