    LYRICS:
My uncle suggested that in his fairy tale
An ancient species in faraway Himalaya
    Forbidden wisdom echoing "Tekeli-li…, Tekeli-li…"
It's under the ground where doesn't reach the light
Where is my uncle who's gone missing
A priest with a historical name invites
Some rulers to the decadence for his fun
Spell of the beast speaking "Cthulhu…, Cthulhu…"
It's the hidden purpose of the blasphemy for human
Where is my uncle who's gone missing
I'm at Himalaya in search for my uncle
    Here is Tibet
By the teachings of lamas among the clouds
    There is Shambhala
    "But be careful young man,
Those who aren't chosen go to…"
    Madness! Madness! Madness! Madness!
Ten years passed in search for my uncle
    Here is Mt. Kunlun
In a song that tea selling girl sings
    That is Shambhala
"Traveler, do you wanna know the secret?
So it's at the mountains of…"
    Madness! Madness! Madness! Madness!

Hi guys! This band is like a time machine! This song instantly took me back 55 years to the late 60s and the Haight-Ashbury psychedelic rock scene. If this had been played at Woodstock (the original one), it would have been absolutely loved. I heard so many bands from the late 60s in this song. It was just a brilliant re-imagining of the music from that time period. Take good care of yourselves, and peace!

I'm always f'n amazed when I hear this song, especially this live version. Some bands would just die to have the control and the composing abilities of the band. You can see that most of the actual music is not that difficult to play but the arrangement is genius.

Yes, Ningen Isu are a Progressive Metal. Watch a very young NINGEN ISU in 1980-something, playing a killer cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man - ruclips.net/video/zaq6fbYYzXI/видео.html
Since I’ve Been Loving You is the greatest guitar track ever recorded, but when they got Bluesy, I heard Black Sabbath.
Remember, the “i” in Ningen and Isu sounds like the “i” sushi.

Nothing better than a good bit of theremin 😉

Love this band and this song is absolutely great. Clearly in Itai’s wheelhouse as well.

Thanks for reacting to this awesome song. The theramin in the beginning sets the stage for an eerie song and when it slowed down I got vibes from vintage Jimmy Page and Black Sabbath. They are huge HP Lovecraft fans and have definitely earned the nickname of the Japanese Black Sabbath. Now I feel like watching one of their concerts on RUclips.

Today I found out, the music that makes Asaf tired, wakes me up. 😆For me the Theremin is like an ancient instrument that was biult for a far future. It still is, and perhaps will always be old fashioned and a little bit ahead of time at the same time. Like a sci fi tale written in the past. Forbidden wisdom echoing "Tekeli-li…, Tekeli-li…"😵‍💫

Try ""NINGEN ISU/Dynamite (LIVE)〔人間椅子/ダイナマイト・ライブ映像〕[CC|Romaji]" for hardcore punk and "NINGEN ISU / The Caterpillar(人間椅子 / 芋虫) | Official Art Track" for more like this here :)

Mesmerizing is a good description of this performance. And yes, they do have other songs inspired by Lovecraft (The Colour out of Space, The Dunwich Horror, The Shadow Out of Time).
Another interesting performance available on RUclips is from a TV show very early in their career (probably 1990), of the title track for their first album, Ningen Shikkaku (No Longer Human). The song was inspired by a novel of the same name written by Osamu Dazai. Apart from getting a look at how they dressed in the early days and a look at the original drummer, you can see their creativity was there from the beginning along with the curiosity about perspectives on life from a variety of sources.
