I’ve had experiences where the workers would look me up and down and make me feel conscious when baring in mind they’re most probably making minimum wage and they’re working in the store.
@@thomasanchell1633 Lol no one in the luxury field makes minimum wage unless they got 0 year of experience which is impossible. A normal salary for a luxury sales associate is around $3k per month + commission (depending on where they work the commission can be pretty big, like 1 or 2k $), more if they're senior aka +5 years of experience. If they're rude to you it's either because they feel like you're not gonna buy and basically you're wasting their time or it's because they're just tired (which can happen to everyone, even you) or because they already got their commission and don't give a shit about you. Could also be because they don't like your attitude or because you were rude to them in the first place.

I fully agree about the friendliness of Cartier employees. I live in Boston and whenever I go in the store here they are welcoming, let me try on anything, and don’t pressure me at all! When I do buy, they make the “luxury experience” great as well. 👌🏻

I honestly don't buy many luxury items because I honestly can't afford for everything I wear to be luxury but every once in a while I'll treat myself & get something & I remember when me & my family went to New York we went to Kate Spade & both associates were there just looking at me & my sister as if we were going to steal everything. Now I get it like I was just a kid in kind of a luxury store but like treat people how you'd like to be treated. We did eventually get some things but it just kind of left a sour taste in my mouth on that specific store in New York.❤️

I take your advice of purchasing luxury items very seriously, bc you know what you’re talking about lol. I think my first luxury item I will ever purchase first, will be a pair of Louboutins, bc you know the quality and which ones are the comfortable ones. You might benefit by reevaluating the way you speak about yourself. Hearing you say you're 'chunky' because you don't fit into a size 24 is absolutely ludicrous and hurts me to hear. You may think it's an innocent comment that you said because you just ate loads at dinner with the girls, and you're feeling a bit bloated, but facts aren't feelings no matter how much your brain tricks you into thinking so.
Words are powerful. More powerful than we really think. If you're putting negative expressions about yourself into the world, they are going to be internalized and affect the way you live your life. Not to mention, they give other people the idea that it's ok to talk about you like that because "well Lailli talks about herself like that all the time"
You're a smart cookie, I know you know how body type and weight distribution factors into clothing size.
Someone with wider hips and a curvy bum won't be able to fit into the same thing that someone with more narrow hips and a smaller bum will be able to fit into. A person that wears a B or C cup will probably be a size small or medium in shirts, whereas someone with a smaller chest may be an xs. Has nothing to do with how "fat" the person is, or the size of their waist, only with where their weight lies on them.
I'm not saying this to try to preach to you or educate, because these are things I know you already know.
It's just a reminder. Because Instagram can be toxic. And because I know that no matter how blasè you may try to come across, hearing yourself say you're "chunky" sometimes hurts more than hearing it from someone else. Because when you say it to yourself, you've convinced yourself it's true.

I couldn't agree with you more on the service in Cartier. Just before Christmas I bought the JEC small yellow gold bracelet and the sales associate was incredible. Even though I was buying an entry level bracelet she treated us like we were dropping 50K in the store. She was so lovely. While I was trying on the JEC bracelet that I bought, I tried on the yellow gold love cuff which is now on my wish list. I absolutely love my new bracelet, it stacks well with my tank and love ring.

the issue with buying so much, is you want more and more and at the end of the day your left with just thinking whats your next target to buy. Its a vicious cycle , and you will one day realise that things, material objects don't give happiness. Only momentary happiness and then it fades and you move onto the next thing you think will make you happy.
It is sad to see a smart girl, be so obsessed and show other girls that this is the way we should be living.
Theres nothing wrong of spoiling ourselves, its the fact of wanting more and more and that will happen automatically if you don't change your way of thinking .
