BEST channel on youtube, i have learnt so much from your vids. flying simulators for a while and hoping to get on the real airbus soon. keep it going!!!
Thanks for watching and for the great feedback! All the best for your pilot training! And: Please tell everybody about the youtube channel! Thank you so much and have a nice day!
Another awesome approach. Would it be possible to have one camera to show primary flight display and nav display? Instead of the middle one facing pilots. Good job on the landing and Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the great feedback. I thought already about recording the displays and putting them in the videos. Until now, I did not find an ideal non disturbing camera location. But I still work on that. So please stay tuned.
Thanks for watching and your feedback! Most of my newest videos contain also a view of the PFD (primary flight display). This includes altitude, speed and more. Here is a video of an approach to London with the PFD : ruclips.net/video/W-oHREKMIFs/видео.html And here one to Naples: ruclips.net/video/pCOt-VzRdn8/видео.html Also there is a playlist with my videos with the PFD included: ruclips.net/p/PLa2FUXnb0gRD1Dyvo4wfEyPk-U1lCmmHu
An unusual route on approach to LCA. Normally further south and then a left turn over Larnaca Bay. Was there a special reason? But interesting to watch.
The standard instrument approach is like you described: It passes over the airfield, turns left for the downwind leg over the water and then again back to the final approach. We flew the RNAV VISUAL approach. This is also a published approach. It is only available in good weather for airplanes with the approach in the database and if traffic and for sure ATC permits. For us this was the shortest way to the airfield. We especially requested the approach at 00:38. At 09:40 we got the final clearance for the approach.
The last few years LCA and PFO have issued RNAV visuals This is very good especially as we had incidents at LCA , were aircraft deviated more north east penetrating the British bases airspace and the occupied northern airspace
Thanks for watching and the feedback! I assume the radar was not available or they have to confirm everything because the radar was newly installed and not yet finally approved without the position reports of the pilots.
Thank you. As far as I know, they installed a brand new radar system just a few weeks ago. It has a range of about 60 nautical miles. May be they asked for the distance to verify and confirm the information from the new radar system.
Only thing i dislike about flying is constant communication and chitchat. I would prefer I get all orders on the screen and only if something is out of order we could talk about it. But what do i know, I have only flown planes in PC simulators.
During approach, departure, and taxiing, we reduce our communication in the crew to the operational minimum. We always monitor the radio for calls from ATC for us and even for calls to other airplanes to maintain a good situational awareness.
From where you guys are there is no way you could have visual contact with the airport, that is why the ATC was asking your DME distance.from BONEK ! 😂62 nm ? seriously!!
Thanks for your comment. We were high and the weather was perfect with unlimited visibility. So we were able to see the airport very very early on this approach. As we spoke to ATC, we were about 53 miles from the airfield at more than 15000 feet. The (theoretical) line of sight at that altitude is about 170 miles. The bad thing is that even our 4k video quality cannot show that because we did not use a telephoto lens.
Nothing but respect for pilots! 😁
Thanks for your kind words! Have a great day!
Very polite, keep the atmosphere positive. Nice! I lile it!
Thanks for watching and the friendly feedback! All the best to you!
I so enjoy watching your videos.. your landings are so smooth. many thanks , to you guys
Thanks for the kind feedback!
I live in larnaca. Nice to see how we get there 😉
Thanks for your feedback! Larnaca must be a really nice place as home city.

Wie immer ein tolles Video😊eine große Motivation für mich weiter für die LBA Prüfung zu Pauken👨🏼✈️many happy landings Captain !!!
Herzlichen Dank fürs gute Feedback! Viel Erfolg für die Prüfung!
very nice approach!
Thanks for watching and the great feedback!
Amazing old school procedural control and the same controller operating approach and tower with quite some traffic, wow.
Thanks for watching and your detailed feedback!
best office view 💙
That's correct. I agree 100 percent!

Thanks for your friendly words. Showing the PFD .... is not that easy. But I will work on that.
Good job 👍
Thanks for watching!
The windsurfer was probably me xD
It must be a great location for windsurfing. Especially if you like airplanes.
Cool footage👏🏻
Thanks!
I love your videos. Would it be possible to show altitude and speed too?

Nice work I couldn't have done it better myself.... Hahaa...well done U guys.
Thanks for the great feedback!
I guess from listening tower communication, there is no traffic control radar! Well done.

@@ApproachandDepartureVideos old good times.:):):).
Great video! But why does ATC keep asking to report distance and altitude? Don't they have radars in Larnaca?
Thank you. As far as I know, they installed a brand new radar system just a few weeks ago. It has a range of about 60 nautical miles. May be they asked for the distance to verify and confirm the information from the new radar system.
Even better to approach LCA during night and se all the lights from Finikoudes, Piale Pasa and from the discos and bar at Makenzy
Thanks for the detailed feedback!
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos my pleasure. Thanks for your great videos
13:56 above the middle screen look 👀 in the sea is that a big fish 🐠???
Interesting observation! It really looks like a very large fish. But I believe that it is the shadow of or airplane.
Is that the curvature of the earth or is it something to do with the camera lens?
It is the camera lens.
Was this the Eurowings flight on the 12/7 from Hamburg? Me and my daughter were flying back to Cyprus, and this was the same -for us unusual - route
No, it was not this flight. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!
How high up ? I see curvature? Are they using a fish lens?
Its a wide angle lens. The video starts at an altitude of approximately 15000 feet or 5000 meters.

You almost flew above my house there
Thanks for watching and your feedback! It looks like that you are living in a wonderful area! I like Cyprus!
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos 06:53 just outside the city of Nicosia.
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos I have never seen a plane flying about that part for LCA ,I guess there are multiple routes?
Has anyone got any change for the parking lol?
No, I am very sorry.
buttered it
Thanks for watching!
