Great job, covered all the points I could think of.

When I learned to dive there were no BCDs, we all had ABLJs and octopus rigs were rare as hens teeth. We'd heard about them but nobody had seen one :-). Buddy breathing was an essential skill we all trained for in the pool. I thought Octopus rigs were standard these days. We didn't buddy breathe like you show. We were side by side in a huddle, each diver had one hand on the regulator and you'd both pass together side to side with nobody letting go of the reg.

When I was certified in ‘69-‘70 buddy breathing was the norm.
Equipment has evolved and so techniques change too. And we call it Air Sharing vs Buddy Breathing now.
thanks Dorbie for your comments !

Do yourself a favor use a side exhaust reg like the Mares MV

Excellent suggestion John... or AquaLung ABS or better yet Apeks Egress side-breathers.

Good video but I will stick to my pony tank and a redundant gas supply.

That too is excellent technique but, some folks tend to confuse the term "Alternate Air Source" with "Redundant Air Source" as you have properly described your unit ....
      I'm guessing you do some spear-fishing ?
Thanks for your comment. I actually edited out my discussion in this vid of RAS vs AAS because I wanted to keep them as two separate videos...
