Just got this app, not properly used it yet, just a couple of trial "tracking" runs but it looks very promising. Very helpful video, not too long and a good mix of information and entertainment.
I used this on my France/Spain tour. Great app and the only problem was user error. I forgot to turn off unpaved roads, which proved frustrating until figured out!
Thank you for the review, very helpful. I have created a custom map with different colours for land, main roads, minor roads etc to make them stand out and become for visible but it seems that when I view this on my Chigee screen, the view is not the map I have created. It appears just like the screen you have behind you in your video. Is there a way of making the custom map appear on my Chigee screen (I'm using Apple Carplay).
nice review...got the app myself, premium btw, and loving it very much...except for two things...major disadvantage is the fact that the position of my motorbike on the map does not coincide with my real position, there's a significant delay...i noticed you're also experiencing that delay, but it doesn't seem to be as big as on my device, running iOS...minor thing is that the traffic situation is not as accurate or up to date as what i see on other apps...apart from those two inconveniences, it's absolutely a great app...in future, i'd love to see a web application in which i can truly create and design routes, synching them to my phone
@@leeroysilk true...and, just found out, if you have an apple computer with a silicon processor, you can run the scenic app on your computer to design a route...the lagging problem can also be solved, if you enable the setting 'extrapolation position' in the finetuning section
Hi have you found a way to silence the notifications for waypoints? I use a lot and it becomes annoying to constantly get the alerts. I also find that the map is not showing me at the turn point but before or after. Makes it very annoying
Yes very important to hide that maximum speed. I don’t think I will worry about that on my bike but still, who needs to know what with speed camera awareness.

Thank you glad you found it useful

You can create routes using Google Maps and then import them into Scenic. Works fine.

Portrait is much clearer to use when planning

Interesting point. I have not found it to be a problem yet but will let you know if I do

Absolutely. Not a good idea while the camera is rolling.
