Living in America for 30+ years. This #%* place is not easy. And you have a US passport which makes everything a 100 times easier. Having supportive family and friends makes things easier to navigate. I live in NYC where everyone is out for self, people don’t even share info on helpful tips
It really isn’t easy, and you’re so right it isn’t like the Caribbean out here. All man for themselves
That beautiful singy accent. It is sooo prim and proper and sooo beautiful! Number one in the region.
It's refreshing to hear a trini accent. I lived in Canada for years long winters and no jobs. I now live in Maryland
I regret moving to the UK, the weather sucks, the money is not great, my kids missed out on growing up with their cousins and grandparents, I regret, cause Trinidad and Tobago is fun fun fun, we take it for granted. We don’t struggle with racism,, people are friendly, in the UK, people don't say good morning. The food sucks, we try to cook Trinidadian food, but it's hard to get, shadow beni, tanker bean, ticky tam bo, the food is not the same.
thank you for your comment 🙏🏽, it really isn’t easy migrating outside of Trinidad, we deal with so much displacement, people never get it. My heart goes out to you and the family 🫶🏽🥺 i hope you guys stay well. I can also definitely relate to this in so many ways. I felt like this when I had just moved to the USA but somehow I managed to maneuver, also traveling back home often helps me to stay connected to my roots
I was born in the UK but did all of my secondary school and most of my primary school living in Trinidad. I spent time in New York before returning to the UK . I enjoyed my time growing up in Trinidad but don't miss it as there is a big enough Trini community here in the UK and I can bring relatives over for holidays etc food is available if you know where to shop everything from chief brand kuchela to roti and doubles is available in London and online for those that are not London based. You just need to branch out, make Trini connections right here and bring the people you miss for a holiday and make the odd trip back when want to.
Just found your video. Title intrigued me. Love your content, transparency and presentation so far. Please continue providing a window into life in the US, as people want candid assessments of life there, particularly those like me thinking of making the move
You have blossom and become a very strong and an amazing woman, I am so proud of you❤

I hope God clears the pathway for you and your journey brings you nothing but joy and happiness .. follow your dreams and continue to pray! congrats on doing what you want 👏🏾💯

I did enjoy your video…….
It somewhat resonates with the journey I have had when I legally migrated to America +25 years ago………..
I flew nonstop to JFK(N. Y.), from TRINIDAD 🇹🇹…..
My brother picked me up and dropped me off at my father’s apartment in Manhattan, New York, N. Y.
Been on my own since that time……
THANK YOU KAROLINA🫡

Oh yes getting a co-signer...I lived there as the wife of a student but because we had a J1 and J2 visa I had a work permit but it is tough to get started because of the different in the system
So Inspiring So Amazing So Beautiful... Wishing you all the Best! Travel Enjoy Life 👑
Wow 🇹🇹🙏🙏
Can wait to see your new videos
😘🫶🏽
I like your Trini accent too. The best Caribbean accent.
Jamaica has the best Caribbean accent reason why I say this is because all island in music does the Jamaican accent expect here own island therefore it's because people gravitate to the patwah accent 😂
@@javonwatkins6924 Keep dreaming! You guys sound unintelligent and dotish! You can't even speak. STOP bastardizing the patois spelling!!! It is French based. Why are you guys calling that shit you speak patois? You are proving my point. You guys CANNOT only NOT speak, but you CANNOT spell!
Hi. You can follow up and get your phd. In the meantime get a modeling job. You can represent as a miss universe or miss world later on in life and you will love both the travel aspect and educational factor.
The Caribbean is in America or no?
Hey Karolina would like too pickup with you 🙌🏾🔥

Who care's if you leave Trinidad to go America you dont even look like ah Citizens of Trinidad.
You do NOT know Trinidad! She looks exactly like a typical Trinidadian. You are one of those people with NOTHING to say, but just felt you had to say something to make yourself relevant.
Jodellromero. Shut the hell up ..go do your research. Trini is mixed country
Need a life
That's cool your Puerto Rican nationality and ethnicity is Trinidad and Dominican and your race is African decent mixed with European decent ❤
