- Battlefield has a secret overpowered Gadget, the Irish Trophy System. It shoots down almost everything and I feel like no one uses it. Let's test its limits including countering missiles from Jets and Helicopters. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

You can also drop the trophy system after a grenade has been thrown to completely nullify it and save your team. If I get to a situation late and there's a Sundance scatter grenade on the floor and it's about to do the second round of scatter damage, you can drop the trophy and it immediately destroys the projectiles! Unsure if it's intended functionality but it works really well for saving your team when you're in a bit of a pickle.
I've been using this to protect my team on breakthrough from nightbird rocket pod spam since launch and nobody ever noticed it stops pods. It's very useful for defenders

Honestly extremely powerful since there is no cool down. Been farming the mastery and nothing is more satisfying than seeing the aps destroy 50 grenades within 30 seconds. The staircase on exposure is essentially the meat grinder of 2042.
No cool down but it's pretty easy to destroy, plus you can hack it and emp it with the drone to get a temporary rest from it
Yeah got Irish T1 in less than 9 hours of playtime because of exposure lol

The hardest part of using the APS is watching friendly armor drive away from it only to get hit with air to ground missiles

If anything needs nerfed, its the air vehicles, or stronger AA.
The problem with it is you can have 20 in an area it tends to make an AA spawn kill without being able to be hit by anything
Yea its definitely under-appreciated as it basically can stop whole pushes into objectives and can be used as a counter measure just by sitting two of them next to your tank/ground vehicles. It needs a cool down on how many projectiles it can destroy at a time but I don't think it should have a hard cap per use like cod does with 3 per use.

You can disable them with EMP grenades, they need to impact a wall or an edge like on the C1 flag on exposure. They explode before they are counted by Irish sentries therefore disabling them
honestly, I really like how these are balanced. They're a bit OP but so are many of the things they counter

So glad you tried the Stealth Chopper with the Bombs, that was one of the first things I thought of when you started toying with that.
That thing is annoying as hell.
When I was playing with the crossbow it seemed that it would also intercept the explosive bolts. I haven't tried with other bolts but definetely worth checking this out!
Been using it for awhile on Exposure after comments to counterattack the Scatter bombs, and find the use for the heli too. Glad you did this video, hopefully more people use it

In the past month my whole group of gaming friends bought it (on sale) and started playing. I'm over level 60 now lol.
While I understand many people with good rigs that can run the game somewhat great/acceptably. I think if you want to see more people on this game, they need to optimize it a lot more for lower end rigs. The more people = The better.

So many people don't even know Irish drops these. They think he is shields only. They need to make it a weekly mission more often. Also, "Pick up plates" as Irish isn't known a ton either. If you run over dropped ammo from dead players you get Armor as Irish.

This is why I usually run Irish, and why he's my first maxxed operator. Also why it's fun making enemies confused why they aren't getting kills. Fun times farming tiny 10xp blips for such a big impact.

I maxed out irish couple months ago. Hardest challenge. The sentinel was really good back then, right now bullets destroy it very quickly but still helpful in close cobat areas

I used this a lot defending on discarded breakthrough. Saved my team form the helicopters.
Yup, you just realized the greatness of the APS. There isn't any cooldown. I've been using it in those corridor/tunnel fights on exposure in breakthrough. Also another great place to put it is in A2 Kaleidescope just under the hole.

Exposure Breakthrough 24/7 is where I reached T1 Irish
I recently managed to get this game for AUD15 (in store digital download in a case) and i'm having loads of fun with it.
It's in a decent state now and its incredibly good value if you can pick it up at that price.
unfortunately the player base is still very small so in Australia you basically have to choose whatever the first playlist option is or else you wont get in to a game.
Hoping it picks up again because its actually pretty fun!
Should have tried the guided projectile the MBT can use. The HEAT round as well could have different results considering it’s much slower in velocity.
Something in game changes tow missiles into heat seekers while in mid-flight.

last brazilian holiday i went back to me parents home and played the new map, and HOLY CRAP the ammount of those gadgets being used was amazing, i managed to score quite a lotta xp without killing anyone, i just used ammo, that gadget and motion tracker LMAO

This was fun to do and interesting to see that it actually does a really good job of stopping alot of explosives
I wonder, would it still work if hidden behind such things like a car, barricade, wall, etc. Basically just out of sight but enough space for a projectile to shoot near, past, or at it even if it's completely obscured by a wall or if a fence would effect it's functional capabilities
