This is a GLORIOUS break-out of different monitor types! I saw other videos, but they were all made by specific manufacturers that were just pedaling their one line of products, so this was a great, objective treatise of everything I really needed to understand to make a well-informed purchase! You didn't make me smarter (because that means I'd have to be smart in the first place!) but you did make me much less dumber!!! Well done, good Sir, well done!!!
Recently grabbed a set of Yamaha HS8s for $338 each from Sweetwater right before all the price hikes. The only downside is the corresponding subwoofer Yamaha offers is inadequate. For now I'm good, but most likely need to find a sub that handles a bit more than the Yamaha. Most reviews of the "8 sub are negative ghostrider.

There are so much - Abacus Mirra - Neumann KH310 / 420 - Unity Boulder mkIII - Suter Ohlhorst Modell 519 - Quested V3310 - ATC SCM25 - Barefoot Footprint01 ….. Most cheap Monitors are 2 ways because when you have a limited Budget, its not real possible to design a good 3 Way Amplification / Crossover
Great video!! I have a pair of vintage 1973’s akai sw 155 speakers. They sound great, but i dont know if they can be used as studio monitors. What do you think should i get a pair of focal alpha 50 evo instead? Thank you guys!!!

Great video. I have presonus eris e5. what i am thinking of recently is to separate them, one on my computer and another on the tv. Is that doable?
