Wire bottom cages are not appropriate for guinea pigs. They can develop bumblefoot and other sores on their feet. I do love to see the passion for guinea pig care!
Hi Scotty, here in our country we use green plastic wires for cages, unlike in the US our weather here is really hot that's why we seldom use C&C cages, or fleece beddings. There are some who uses, but mostly uses that type of cage or rectangular bird/dog cages with plastic wire flooring.
Too many people complain probably have never had guinea pigs. This set up is pretty good. They have fresh grass (better than hay), they have a lot of water, and the metal wire is covered by the plastic mesh which is definitely softer than the ground their feet evolved to walk on. Also, as long as they have unlimited fresh grass, they don't even really drink that much.
You seem like a nice guy and I don’t think you intentionally do any harm to them, but you need a lot of educating about these animals to properly care for them.
We used bamboo for flooring and my piggies are soo clean, healthy and not smelly, they enjoy running and popcorning around too ❤️ The bamboo avoids bacteria in staying from their bum and body because the poops and pee just fall easily 🤗 all natural unlike beddings and c&c cages, btw I'm from Philippines too
Hi dexter I'm only the one who have motivated by u ...that guy from zim I do this rabbits hens guppies mollies Daniel and beta fish I like u bro keep on on on on on on on on on oooooonn bro ure the best not only in the world but planet
I love Guinea pigs. We always had them growing up. They are such awesome lil creatures. Lol in my family we call them Guinea hogs, lol. They are so adorable. I really like the albino 😎
Is refreshing to see someone painting guinea pig breeding and I'm positive light and Aid light to help them wolf breeding guinea pigs bye exporting guinea pigs to the Philippines if it is on a different Airline than it was earlier this year dear to all of the animals dying on thta trip
6:00 you can see here the Green plastic wires above the steel one to not hurt their feet. This is a farm so its different from your pet at home. Please also mind the weather here in Ph it's pretty hot. all of them look healthy for me. they are at their good condition
My daughter has three guinea pigs. It seems like all I do is clean there cages lol. But they are sweet little critters, thanks for another great video.
Those are plastic green wires they are not harmful, we use that here in our country because the weather here are really hot we cannot use fleece beddings. It is also helpful that they will not soil up their poops and urine which is directly fall underneath the cages.
Well. it seems the green wire bottom is working. The guinea pigs don't look stressed and the cages are clean. Rabbits and chickens are also farmed with wire bottoms...and just because sores can happen..it doesn't mean that it will. I am a starting homesteader from the US and this looks like a good farming clean method.
I have 5 gunnie pigs. When ever I eat chocolates, I give it to them. My gunnie pigs scratch meand they don't like to Bath. They love sweets. They are intelligent they always steals food from chickens.
Megathyrsus maximus, known as Guinea grass and green panic grass, is a large perennial bunch grass that is native to Africa and Yemen. It has been introduced in the tropics around the world. It has previously been called Urochloa maxima and Panicum maximum. It was moved to the genus Megathyrsus in 2003.
In South and Central America they roast those guinea pig it is part of their diet, You can order it in the restaurant and you can even pick which guinea pig you want them to cook...
Please consider changing your wire bottom floor for something better for guinea pigs. Wire bottom flooring is uncomfortable for guinea pigs and can cause bumblefoot. It seems that you are trying to give them good care. A softer floor to walk on will help their small sensitive feet.
Because they are not guiness intended for love or affection or home. They are lunch. They are beheaded and boiled. The hair is removed. The skin is left on and eaten as delicacy. They do not desreve hiding nor care nor wamth nor a vet. They are eaten with a wine and a fat man smoking a 12$ cigar. Thats why. Look it up. M.il
We have a grass similar to that in Oz, locally called 'sugar drip'. it's a sweet and 'wet' grass. I think I must have spoiled my Guinea pigs, they had grasses, pellets and fruit and veg, particularly liking apples and carrots. They can make good pets. In South America where they originate) they are bred to be eaten also.
@@DextersWorld I think it's Napier grass or elephant grass in English. Tip always try to find the scientific name of it. I used to have a long red haired Guniea Pig she was leash trained and everyone would say Max your dog is sick it's eating grass! Then she'd squeak LOL one the best sweetest pets ever I will say though unless you're really planning on selling them just get one because they have a bunch of babies.

I see so many beautiful piggies there. A lot of Californias, satins ...... but the way they life is really sad. They all going to have problems with there feed, no prober food, no space........ they don’t take the heat very well. It’s make me really sad 😢
It did seem mean shame guniea pigs in small cages wire at bottom no hay plus the heet off the hot sun u may loose some guniea pigs. Put more shade over them .
There are people who have problems with apartement, education, health, social integration and so on. I'm not giving a shit of what is happening with this f*ing guinea pigs.

Yethu Raj you shouldn’t feed them chocolate, only Veges and fruit but too much it’s too sugary
