Yes I love them - I don't think I did any unboxings of my ILY4Ever or the Disney Villians in my collection but I have the blonde Snow White and like her and her stock a lot. I love the other one too. You do such a good job of showing everything they come with. Love it March!
I did particularly like the grunge/alternative look that they gave blonde Snow White, it's such an interesting contrast to the Snow White from the first wave of the dolls, although she is stunning too and I love the details of the pieces she comes with.
3:47 I was thinking the same thing when I saw Jakks recently come out with three budget dolls and three of the regular ily dolls.... I like both lines!
Were the Disney ily dolls available in regular stores over in the US? Here they are literally only available through Disney stores (of which there are very few) and the website (and I'm guessing at Disneyland Paris too), so that wouldn't have helped the sales. But it does feel like Jakks Pacific are still producing for now with the three budget dolls and the three regular ones that they've just released.

I love the evil queen one with the dagger heart (in the story, the huntsman is charged with cutting out snow white's heart and returning it in the box as proof to the queen - i think that was the design on the box). Congratulations on reaching 1K! 😀
I'd actually forgotten about the heart part of the Snow White story altogether so thank you for the reminder. I guess the main thing that people remember is the poison apple more, but it's nice that they used that part of the plot thread in this doll.
Congratulations on 1K subscribers! I could never get past the articulation problems so all my ILY dolls have moved on. I remember them fondly tho through their fashions which others of my dolls enjoy wearing. Love your photos of them as always.
Yes, I would have thought that they would have rectified the legs for the second wave but maybe it was too late to do when they started production for wave 2. It does make me wonder what the articulation is like for the Jakks Pacific dolls, but then they don't have the inset eyes.
I love that you had both waves of Snow White to compare. The first one is really pretty (love her freckles) though the second one's outfit wins my vote. It's odd about the lenses in the glasses. I love the details on the first wave Snow White's outfit, she looks really nicely put together and the pink cardigan is really cute too. That said I do appreciate the second outfit more because of it's goth/alternative style. The glasses situation is just weird!
Gorgeous girls! I so fell in love with the blond girl, I actually won one! I'll receive her probably at the end of this month and I can't wait to have her. Gosh, this legs position to sit are a pain in the neck, aren't they? I'll try to keep mine in a stand, let's see if the one of the bunch I have will fit her. awesome knee joints, but those legs.. Besides that she's to die for. Congrats on having both of them, my friend!
Thank you and congratulations on winning one of these dolls! The legs are a pain but mine are all quite happy standing thankfully, which is what all my dolls do on their shelves. For me, the faces and the inset eyes outweigh the leg issues. Hope you get your dolls soon and enjoy her as much as I enjoy these.
I think the Jakks Pacific dolls will still be available, and it could be that Disney are just trying to sell out the first two waves before they bring out the third, but at the moment we just don't know and companies never seem to announce when doll lines are ending (Mattel's Barbie Extras for instance).
I like these dolls and have 3 from the first wave. I wish they could sit a little better. Their bodies have hip issues, but I do think their hair and eyes are really good quality.

So far Jakks Pacific have only made dolls, so not sure if they will branch out into fashion packs too or not. It would be nice if Disney told us if this is the end of the ily dolls from them or not. I think it would be a huge shame but maybe the doll market is too saturated to support all the different brands which are currently out there.
You are right 😁 Personally, I don't divide these two lines that clearly. Because they share most of the facesculpts, but the difference of the eye type gives a different impression overall. And of course, they use different bodies in terms of articulation and shape. So far, they only made dolls with extra clothing in the "painted on eye" version. It will depend on popularity and budget if they bring out fashion packs, especially for the different body types... We'll have to wait and see. In general, I am surprised how Disney handles the ILY series. The first wave of the Disney shop one was so promising! I don't really get the decisions Disney made...

You do wonder if these things are tested before they mass produce them. It's also sadly ironic that they would give them double jointed knees but then make it impossible to be able to utilise it due to the flawed hip articulation!
The jakks Pacific versions I actually prefer their bodies. It is a bummer that they don't have the double knee articulation but they have swivels in places where the Disney dolls don't.... And it allows them to sit better

I did actually go into the Disney Store in Dublin yesterday and they still have a small section of ily dolls but they are now in the sale section and seem to be just what they have left from both ranges along with some of the fashion and accessory packs. I'm guessing that the Jakks Pacific will continue to produce their ilys and at least they can actually sit down!
Ironically the Jakks Pacific versions of the dolls are finally arriving in toy stores here in September, which is probably over a year since they originally came out everywhere else! I love the inset eyes on the Disney versions though and will miss that, it's such a unique feature for a doll of this size.

I liked the look of the Ursula doll and obviously the theme of the doll but because I was set on having ilys with inset eyes only I never got her.

I just bought some ILY because they were on sale- I didn’t think about them being phased out! I think they are super cute.

37:48 if they had a thigh swivel, I think they would be able to sit down better... I freaked out the first time I had a leg pop off 😆😮
