Beautiful story and also very tragic. She really turned the tragedy into love through her life’s work. Researching their death, writing songs, and writing her book are a beautiful way to honor her parents lives. She is an inspiring woman and I’m excited to read her book.💕

I had one of those type mothers. A caregiver (RN) her entire life only to be betrayed by a father that committed suicide and blamed me for pretty much everything in his life that ever went wrong. I feel where the girl's coming from...
Both her and Shelby are lovely & talented singer / songwriters. After 25 years of listening to both , this is the first I heard of this horrific tragedy in their youth.
Me too. Their life as children is so similar to mine. Perhaps I could feel that commonality in their incredible music. I love them both.
I knew about this a long time ago and never could understand how they managed to still succeed in life. I couldn't overcome what they went through and I "only" went through half. God bless them!

Truly an amazing woman ... Alison seems so warm and kind to me ... if you cant ever "let go" then that all consuming anger, grief, sadness will take you down with it ... clearly Alison has survived through more than the vast majority of us will ever go through ... totally honest interview ... I listen to a lot of your solo music and love all you songs also your duets with Shelby.
