    This was actually recorded in 1975 at Bearsville Studios. Todd Rundgren sat behind the boards. Don't tell anyone.

    best thing to happen to music in years. they're like a Lemon tree's Twig that survived the decades and brings us lemonade in a musically dismal era.

      Musically dismal era? Hahahah oh buddy, you gotta stop looking at chart music and judging an era on that..
      There is SO MUCH amazing new music out there, all it takes is a bit of effort on your end by digging deep to find the good stuff. I promise you your opinion will change if you broaden your reach and venture outside of chart music.

    These people play (and compose) how they feel and think in a balanced and holistic way, in the real here and now, what used to be called 'a natural sound' as opposed to the contemporary predominant adolescent 'mannered sound' of ego-angst driven cannibalistic mindless pornographied narcissism. What I'm referring to covers all 'genres' and sub-sub-genres -- too bad almost all rap and hip-hop (and almost all popular contemporary music of whatever genre) was slowly hijacked or evolved in the 1980s-1990s into a 'mannered' etiquette full of childish-insecurity, mindless-pornographic-sexuality, narcissistic loop-entrapment, self-centered egoism, infantile-stereotyping and parroted-scapegoating, and a race to the meaningless and hyper-nihilism -- far flung from the predominant 'natural sound' of African-American roots in blues, jazz, African-folk, gospel, Carribean-sounds, Spanish-classical, gypsy-folk, afro-beat, Sahel, Berber, funk, and influences from the world over. (sorta thing, etc, vaguely)

    • @gazpacho1234
      @gazpacho1234 5 лет назад

      Natural Sound (a brief part history): World War One (1914-1918) was the most seminal moment in the history of 'Western Eurocentric' society and 'Western Eurocentric influence on colonial and other societies' since, arguably, the working class pro-democracy uprisings that started in the mid 1800s. It was in a post-slavery post-serfdom era of psychology and electricity and a time when what some might now call the '99%' realized they were just naive cannon-fodder for the tiny ruling 'Democratic' or authoritarian ruling classes who were fooling them with clever propaganda and targeted divide-and-rule minimal interest-fulfillments (bribery). It was an unprecedented time when millions of soldiers the world over saw action and spent time in other countries and continents and were exposed to different peoples and music. It was a time when masses of the 99% yearned for some kind of music that was real, deep and goddam funky, and that was jazz (note: though blues folk and gospel at the time in the 1920s didn't remotely catch on outside the African American community, within the African American community by the 1930s they had caught on like wildfire as African Americans sought an even more natural sound as the more popular jazz was slowly becoming more-removed from their everyday experience/sensibility and it's sound ever more mannered and upscaled whitey-fied). Never in the history of the world has a music form become so popular to so many countries and to all classes as jazz in the 1920s - so contagious, informed by worldwide influences, and varied that even white (or other) racists integrated aspects of the music but tried to bend it to as lily-w as possible while claiming it to be their own and separate. Needless to say, as with all future genres of popular or 'fringe' music, the more popular jazz by the mid 1920s was slowly being hijacked or evolved into a more mannered sensibility, similar to what happened by the mid-1950s with 'rock'n'roll' (an overwhelmingly African American invention that grew out of a fusion of a half dozen 1940s African American genres). Fast forward to the internet -- yes the internet, purveyors unprecedentedly extraordinaire of manners consciousness -- fuck the internet -- fuck image consciousness (a.k.a. idolatry) -- fuck virtual reality -- and fuck this comment, I should be outside trying to make people giggle. Er.....see ya!

    • @gazpacho1234
      @gazpacho1234 5 лет назад

      Shii...I meant too say "mannered consciousness" not manners consciousness", bloody auto-correct! Meanwhile I'm still not outside going giggle hunting, WTF!!..
