I would play MWLL much more frequently if I could figure out how to remap the key bindings. At the moment, I'm used to MWO's key map, and going to MWLL without remapping is throwing me completely off... One of my favorite aspects of MWLL is the self-contained games: you come in, you play for an hour in a match, and when you're done, that's it, the next game starts over again from scratch. Vs in MWLL where you've got the folks who've been playing for years and are richer than dirt, vs new players who haven't got two CBills to rub together.

This is better than the MW5 Trailer. The "pilot" dialogs, the weapon configuration, the sound blibs and blobs, ok the graphics maybe not but better than MWO much more detail. Real Mech feeling. And I'm only at minute 4
I just started testing MW:LL so I don't know what it can do. I'm a Battletech tabletop player and played MW2/3 back in the 90s. I'm glad to see some of the classic stuff still around. If I could take a Hatchman or Axeman in for some hand to hand, I'd be really impressed.
Well, I got the chance to move around in MWLL for a bit a few weeks ago, and I think in terms of balancing MWLL did it better, plus the Solaris VII area too.

I find them pretty easy to handle, using keyboard and mouse. They do flip easily on rocky terrain, but in most maps you can just go around. As far as I know, though, the physics for them didn't change in 0.7.

You need to go look at the forums. Gamespy is actually shut down which technically makes this impossible to play, however there are several workarounds that people have that will still allow you to access the servers.

The part around 30:00 when you guys were battling in the Elementals made me remember scenes from Terminator. Pretty cool.
MG range in BattleTech is 90 meters against mechs, it's over a kilometer against infantry (according to BattleTechnology 1987, second issue).

In Battletech, we used the Catapult with a spotter mech armed with a Narc.
This is an excellent tactic here too.. Very effective, but can be hard countered with AECM..
