@@Learnhowto69 You will encounter lot's of problems. Humidity, light and a fresh air stream shall become big challenges. And you don't wanna have that 'cellar feel', too. It can probably all be solved, but it will hardly be a 'natural' home in the end. There's a reason why houses like that were never build in reality.
Trying to get some inspiration for the interior of my hobbit house in Minecraft. I have a wonderful front door but this helps with how I want to layout the rooms.
I spent HOURS a couple days ago trying to understand the layout of Bag End, piecing together stills from the movie to figure out which room was which. I kinda wish I'd found your video sooner. It's so nice to see the continuity like this ! It's so immersive ! And it's so faithful to the movie set ! Hats off, honestly.
Yeah exactly. When you look on the movie sets, they opened up the ceiling where they had flood lights. A real home would have to have much bigger windows to be cozy.
Yes, that's just the thing with the movies, too: I often wondered "now where does all that light from the non-window direction come from"? In reality, an exact home like that would/could hardly feel so comfy at daylight. At nighttime it's a different story. Candles and lamps are everything.
@@manuelpuchau7974 your welcome. the detail is amazing. i do DIY projects on my channel and i'm currently drawing out the outline for a child size hobbit Wendy house for my daughter for in the back garden. the detail in your video will help decorate the inside
That's Dope, I have a lil question here, do you use texture image for the overall interior while modeling it in Unreal engine 4? I also want re-create it as well 🥺
Are the details of the furniture ALL loyal to the original (film)? Or have some things been invented? Excuse the unusual question, but I'm working on a diorama about it and I'm interested in being as faithful as possible. Congratulations on your excellent work anyway, it is also very helpful!
any plans on bringing this to UE5? I would love someday for all these LOTR efforts to coexist in one online virtual Arda, so much good content out there
Quick question. If you have the time I'd like to hear your perspective on this. I am actually planning on creating a fan made non profit game based on the hobbit. I ask because you recreated a copywritten location in your video. You may have no answer on this topic but I'm wondering if it's legal to do this cause I noticed on the Middle earth enterprises website in their FAQ they talk about copyright, and one question popped up about fan material based on or around Tolkien's literary works. They said fans are entitled to share fan fiction or stories based on the hobbit and LOTR if it's non profit. I wonder if the same would apply to a fan game. I'm assuming they mean all forms of fan content whether it's a story, a game, digital artwork or a film. I'm also using unreal engine for this.
I don't know, this was just a portfolio project. This project is not lucrative, so I don't know. Making a game is more complex than a single environment. I wish you luck my friend :D
Late response but if anyone is going to affect a fan game its Warner Brothers - they have done it to some fan made things already (Total War Fan mod on MODDB for LOTR) Apparently because it used the naming of 'Mordor' in the title. To my Knowledge Tolkien Estate doesn't mind fan projects as long as its non profit
Thank you so much! I've been accumulating the details of Bag End for quite some time. In a few years I plan on starting the construction of an exact replica of Bag End (as much of it as we see in the movies) and this model is a priceless resource! You've captured so many details that were hard to get, this definitely looks like the most accurate I've seen!
If you think you could ever share your source let me know! I'm interested in making a few tweaks and also adding some new functionality. I plan on building Bag End in the future and I would love to add some utilities which measure from point A to B and returns the length in in/cm. This project is a fantastic reference point, you've captured so much detail that is so hard to pick up.
Gonna use this for my Minecraft recreation of the Shire.
I'm watching this for the legit same reason! 👍
same here
Nice can i see it someday
Same
Thats it, I'm making this a reality. I shall build bag end one day and it will be a glorious day
I'm down on a similar route. Please let me know your current status!

I see what you did there!

I love this, would be better with more lights and burning candles
Edit: Nevermind, found your night version! It's even better

Have you started already?
Yeah, have you?
If a game is made I want to play it and visit bilbo house 😊
Great job
Very cool! Thank you for sharing this
Amazing! Which softwer did you use to model this?
Incredible…how long did that take
Thanks! How many fireplaces are there?
Very nice, although it seemed very well lit for a space with so few windows, and so small. Beautifully done, nonetheless.
