A video on the Yak-38 could be interesting, since it's the predecessor to the Yak-141. So many people hate it, but it has some good qualities (Maybe)
The yak38 has the most dogshit flight model out of any plane in the game, and it has R60s at a way too low br plane. I hate it
It wouldn't be very fun. It has 460s but a terrible flight model. I'd like to see something like the F5c

Play the ELC bis, which is a light tank without scouting because Gaijin thinks its a "tank destroyer."

@@michalkovalcik2500 asu-85 plays more like a tank destroyer and has scouting. M18 is a tank destroyer and has scouting. Also, in French... engin leger de combat means light combat vehicle, which sounds like a light tank to me.
Another thing it should also have is full turret traverse when stationary. The driver is on the turret basket, he would get dizzy driving with the turret pointing sideways lol.
IRL "tank destroyer" is not a classification of vehicle, it's a role. Units of vehicle-towed cannons may be "tank destroyers", or units of tanks (like Shermans) which are tasked with finding and destroying enemy tank Units may be "tank destroyers".
In reality the tank destroyer designation for the ELC is fine. The point of the project was to design a lightweight combat vehicle with anti tank capabilities.
Specially having two crew members where the commander is the gunner and the driver is the loader, does not lend itself to average tank duties, it's an anti tank support vehicle. A tank destroyer.
The saddest plane is the Yak-23. When it came out at 7.3 it was all I played. I grinded out ace crew on that thing without a talisman. It was completely OP and unfair and it was so much fun. Still one of the craziest K/Ds I have in air RB. Now it's 8.7 and unplayable.

I've been spading this thing in ground forces of late and at first hated it but have grown to really like it. It's surprised me how successful I've been with it with a pretty good kill ratio (and I'm a very average pilot), I'm enjoying it. Main thing is to keep the speed cranked up.

A normal man would see only 60 bullets. Phly sees 60 kills.

the Yak-15P is a great exercise plane just as the "BI" is. you need to make your shots count and preserve ammo. which can help changing the way you shoot with planes that have much more ammo too.
But 15000 sl repaircost isnt worth it imo. You get killed and make for sure a minus

Yak-23 would be very fun to watch. Its like the Yak-15 but at 8.7 so it faces supersonics and missiles. Despite that I've managed to get a few aces because literally nothing can turn tighter than you or sustain a turn better than you at the BR.
Yak23 was the most OP plane after introducion for like 2 Months or less, Br 7.0. Impossible do die because its like a ME 163 on crack. Everyone had a 10/1 KD on it.

Love your videos! The kikka before you unlock the 2nd gun, the 30mm only has 50 rounds with a single gun as your only weapon. Even with 2 guns it's 100 rounds for 2 guns

I got really into war thunder a few months back and have been grinding the Soviet tree for jets. I finally got into rank 5 and I was in a car accident last week and broke 3 bones in my mouse arm. Just wanted to say thanks Phly for keeping my spirits up and for constantly helping me improve my gameplay. I’ll be back boomin and zoomin soon!

The IL28sh is underrated. It's so fun to phly as a fighter with gun pods and it recently got custom loadouts that you can add 4 S24 rockets with its fuze delays!

This jet is pure fantasy , I mean you pulled 13G dude ! Not even a F22 can do this , turns like a Biplane and engine performance like a late prop with 2500hp .

Hey Phly! I’ve been looking through your older videos and I don’t think you have a single video on the KI-108 Kai! It’s an uncommon sight in the skies, and is pretty flammable, but it’s a ton of fun*. *(If you have 37mm ammo)
Get a couple friends in katyushas and line up somewhere in city maps to blend in while enemies pass! Would be hilarious fun
I've noticed recently that after turning my engine off mid realistic battle flight it wouldnt allow me to turn it back on and for that reason I was 100 meters shy of they airfield lol
The R2Y2s are kind of funky and the only fictional/totally paper planes in game. They may be worth flying out.
Phlydaddy pls play the Bf-109 G-6, it usually gets downteired and with the MK 108 in the nose it goes extremely hard. You could also try the Do-335 A-0/A-1, it has an MK 103 and is really fast but doesn't turn particularly well. German 30mm's are a joy to use. Love your videos man! Been a faithful viewer since 2015!

Yesterday I played the early p38, kept getting kill assist. Just like phly did today you do all the work to kill a plane and get them to make a mistake and team mates hawking around watching dive in to get a kill once you wound them

The Yak 15 literally has a pull starter in the front that turns on a small motor that turns on the engine. It can not turn on mid flight. Only way is if you're doing over 400kmh
It took me 400 hours of Air Arcade without premium, to get to this plane.
I needed all of that practice in turn fighters and the I-225, to be able to get the idea that this plane is really good and I am really bad.

I want to see you play the XA-38, it's the American Duck. Harder to aim, but it hits just as hard, can carry bombs, has defensive turrets, it even turns, climbs, and maintains speed better than the Duck.
Well phly, I can tell you one plane that has a pretty good amount of ammo for its 4 20mm cannons, and that is the Vought F8- Crusader!

Phly you gotta try the A-26B-10 invader. In fact did you know they also used 20mills, and they actually put a 75mm pack howitzer along with the 37mm. Been using it in sim a lot lol I just hate how the cockpits aren’t modeled for it and or most bombers. 😂

This is one of my favorites Russian jets it’s really good it even out turns a lot of prop planes too
It's basically a Yak-3 after engine swap, so the frame naturally retained its good qualities from prop times.

I know 9.3 BR is a pain in the ass and every time you join the game you get bullied by the missles and the supersonic jets,

The Komet is a really interesting vehicle. Like a faster He 162 but it sees the occasional AAM. Might be in at that comparable sort of "fast, odd planes".
