In fact, things are run simply by the people who run them and that is based on how well they run them and NOT based solely on the perception of them having a high level of intelligence. Furthermore; things are NOT a show because oftentimes we have several versions of a similar thing that compete against each other to succeed and so the priority is not to SHOW themselves as being successful but to actually be successful because otherwise they would fail to exist as competitors. It’s is not a truck driver shortage at all. The reporters only interviewed the director of the port. Now they should interview the drivers with loaded containers and empty chassis trying to get offloaded or picking up containers. The drivers all say the same thing. Those union port workers are lazy and don’t do their job.
On October 16, 2020, the EPA reached a settlement agreement with California Air Resource Board (CARB) to shut down semi tractor rigs that were non-compliant with new California emission standards:
The trucking issue with California LA ports, ie the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), is that all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards. As a consequence, that mean trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports. It's A-Hole trucking Co's, Insurance Co's (need to have 2-5 years varifiable experience), Driver Violations (over dumb-A** things), Regulation, Most Co's pay like crapp & crappy trucks (hence Driver Violations). traffic jams, parking problems. I could go on, but I do hope by now you get the point. When your in a truck, your public enemy No. 1, and everybody lets you know! + every trucking co. has more trailers than trucks, just good buisiness. They can drop & hook, hire on O/Oper's, lease trucks to carry work load, etc, etc, etc. So no shortage. I drove truck, I drive truck, I love trucks, but I pick & choose now, times have changed. To much pressure now & no pay for most. + companies will park your truck if you don't squease every mile you can on your logs. It's all Driver deterant, not Driver atraction! The shortage is created & it's not cause of Driver shortage!!!
The solution is simple. STOP TREATING WORKERS LIKE GARBAGE!!!
1:45 something fishy there, the ship is fully loaded with containers but the hull is barely displacing water implying very little weight on the ship
Good catch
I love how the media is making it seem like the economy is actually doing good, that's hilarious.
As horrible as Trumps rhetoric was. His economy was booming. Biden created all this. It all backs up to the keystone pipeline.

Revelation 18:17, KJV: "For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,"
...are you saying the Bible was mentioning cargo ships full of chinese crap being held off of a port in the United States? That's what that passage is about?
@@higginswallop5009 Could be. Watching closely. The usa is likely "Babylon the Great" mentioned in Rev 18.
Amen
Amen. This coupled with La Palma is like Revelation coming to life before our eyes. Chilling
Trucking used to be a good profession until the government got involved.
Every thing is good until the government get involved.
What does he government have to do with this? This is high demand with no medium to ship
@@maxx_thedragondominator wrong
@@maxx_thedragondominator No one wants to drive into California or into the ports with all the BS in place. We could even go into the electronic log mandates and other regulations that only benefit the large fleets with under qualified drivers if you want to really see how they have played such a good hand in the industry.
I paid 365 dollars for a can a freon that was 147 dollars. 2 months ago. THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND
Wouldn't be crazy if this whole shipping thing was like a Trojan horse? War ships in Disguise as cargo ships just waiting on all coasts.
I had that same thought
There's truck drivers available, it's the wait time to get a container at the ports, takes 6+ hours to get a container loaded
Why don’t the U.S bring all those companies back an jus pay people better. They still gonna be rich. An for the record No Christmas gifts not really a crisis
Good point 👍
Come to Florida where we don't shut things down, shame on CA Gov
Us drivers don't make enough money to deal with the containers they are a headache and DOT hit them left and right.
This is one reason why a country should take care of itself...
But the US cannot survive without China. Why is that ?
@@armanitransport2604 without getting personal, I'm only saying that most country's are selfish with the resources and all the money and technology these days are more than capable of helping the people. There's no reason this is the state of the world.theres no reason people need to be in a grocery store 3days a week and need to get coffee every hour, etc.
As someone who thought about being a truck driver, I can tell you that more respect has to be given to these men and women that deliver our goods. I've seen the same problem all over the world and these are just some of the problems:
-They are blamed for being late even if it's not their fault
- Given illegally heavy loads
- Asked to deliver a load in an impossible time that would have them speeding
- Drivers in cars don't respect their blind spots, space cushions, don't let them merge, etc.
- How about the sacrifice that they are away from their families for a long time and miss out on holidays.
- There is also a health risk to being in a job that you sit for hours and the meal options are not the healthiest on the road.
I have done some jobs in my lifetime that don't add value to society such as valet parking (yes there is no need to have your car parked for you at the Ritz, you can manage without us). But truck drivers will be in high demand well into the robot era.
@Hello Juan how are you doing?
That's baloney!!! These people are worried about "gifts" when stores need essential supplies. You KNOW they are holding them JUST LIKE they did hurricane trucks to cause chaos! 😡
That lady's trinket shop is not Essential.

The problem isn't the shortage of truck drivers. There is no shortage. The problem is it is mostly owner operators that haul out of ports, and California passed a law making it illegal to operate a semi that is pre 2011, and then by 2035 all diesel trucks are supposed to be outlawed by that same law. So California is doing it to themselves and the rest of us. And not to mention pay is extremely poor.
It's amazing isn't it? The anti-business dept of CA.
Interesting. Is this Pete B idea. (The director of transportation) And is this s recently made policy?
@@seventyseven9209 its actually trucks that are 2010 or newer not 2011, but it went into affect just last year the DMV put a registration block on all buses and trucks older than 2010
Well thats what happens when your dependent on foreign companies for our supplies.
Most truck drivers are stuck because, as of January, an executive order signed by the current administration limits the cargo to be shipped between states. To say there's a lack of drivers is completely false. They just can't get to the shipping yards to move the freight.
I'm in shock that the media isn't reporting this.
Yes I knew it was propaganda because I live in texas and there is no shortage of drivers. There are more drivers than trucks.
Wait. You’re shocked?
Thanks for the information I've been trying to get to the bottom of this. I had a feeling Biden's BS policies had something to do with it
You really shocked seriously i mean foreal?
Was you not here during the plandemic i mean was you not here before that this America my guy its a corporation business which creates money comes first lies and deception over truth anyday unfortunately
Reminds me of the oil embargo of 1974, faque oil shortage, could not empty oil tankers cause tanks were full, yet gas stations empty
A National emergency. Bring in the National Guard, the Army, Marines.
They can drive trucks and run cranes…
Exactly. That was my thought. But now I'm hearing that it's not actually about manpower, it's about the Biden administration putting all these regulations on things...like because of their "green rules" trucks that are pre-2011 aren't allowed in because of emissions. And I guess there's a bunch of other bs policies. So this appears to be an entirely man made (Biden administration made) CRISIS. And they get to blame it all on Covid. Control the food, control the people.
There are plenty of truck drivers, they just don’t pay jack. Maybe you should start paying people and they will start working.
Won't happen till CEOs make less.
I have a theory about this. Remember the old days (before all this technology) when American goods were "Made In America". I won't say any names, but maybe we should reorganize and go back to that. Even if it means less choice.
Sorry but American made things like Chevy, Ford and GMC r complete garbage, if more was made here it'll probably be the same trash
It has nothing to do with production the problem is distribution. The goods are here sitting waiting. We can produce our own goods all day long but if you don’t have any one to distribute it then you still have the exact same problem
@@MikeOxhard69420 lmfao let me guess you drive a Toyota and think they weren't made here right lol
@@Guerrillacreations Toyota still has much better quality and attention to detail than american companies last year Ford only stopped the assembly line a handful of times to fix problems, they focus more of quantity over quality, Toyota on the other hand stopped it over a thousand times to fix problems cause they care more about quality over quantity
Why would a company pay Americans minimum wage when they could pay a foreign country worker 50 cents a hour to make their products??? That why nothing is made here people.
