Anybody that takes a look can see by the quality of your work that you are an extreme perfectionist! Not trying to stroke your cack, I just wanted to State the obvious because some people don't seem to be paying attention.
This is honestly the best produced episode of amplified ever
A hydro dip or "herc fede" style swirl dip on your basket with phosphorous paints would turn this midget disco into a midget ACID disco. I would test out phosphorous paint alone, phosphorus paints with glow in the dark designs, and phosphorous paints with a glow in the dark layer on top to see what looks the best. I hope your disco ball helps make your etch stand out more because right now its just not poppin' enough. Also there is more than just green glow, there is blue purple and pink as well. No matter what you end up doing this is some real epic wizard shit and I cant wait to see it finished up!
I like it when it looks better the second time around. This is the same reason I drive my workers crazy when I tell them that it doesn’t look good enough and then I redo it and they still look at me weird but I know it’s right.

Then fold it back when you want to show off “the goods”. That’s not your sack either Doug! Or even better, CNC a cardboard cutout of the fine little person dancing that was so much your inspiration for this box build. Display him with the box in the back of your truck he deserves it. (31x)

optimum placement of the strip on the window would be to have the ends in a corner, that way you can overlap just a bit, its easier to hide that way also its a little easier to install/remove the window too.

one of your better episodes in a while! i mean, let's not forget that they are all legendary, but this one was like legendary+! i love your editing and in my opinion, you consistently win at youtube. glad you got those remaining tool marks out of the window lip and i was hoping you'd forget the red sub and try something different. now, i know this thing is damn near indestructible and definitely worth showing off, but i was thinking why not make a dust cover or something for it? you've already shown us your upholstery skills, so whipping up something to protect it that could easily be yanked off would be a good idea, no?

Is that the sub that got dropped through the display case at the old shop? And, when you bedline the truck, be sure to leave the factory drains open up near the cab. Don't want the box to sit in a puddle under it. Awesome episode!!!!

You should use that clear xpel automotive protection on the window to prevent any surface scratches. All the hard work I would be pissed when it got the first scratch.

I've been following this build, and the box looks great. One thing though. Why isn't the angle of the window on the right side at 90 degrees? The logo was a great idea, but it throws the look off in that spot since the angles don't match.

I know, I know... but if u put this template with that template... should have just 3d printed a Tline box and called it quits. The box is awesome man. every hour spent does show.

Doug you really should make a chrome plate to cover the inside of your tailgate so you can see that beautiful box in your rear view mirror, get lost as you gaze at its glory, forgetting to look at the road, veer of and slam through a railing on an over pass, f150 hits the concrete below, gas line cracks, sparks from the crash ignite the fumes........maybe on second thought you should not do that. Just get rid of your rear view mirror all together. For God sakes Doug you only make 2 videos a week I can't deal with no show at all. It would look pretty cool though. Keep your eyes on the road!

i am 35. last system i had was 7 years ago. my friend of same age who used to help me build custom box's told me i am too old to be building a system. I Just bought a car with an upgraded 280amp alternator and i have two 18" 's sitting in my room i see noting wrong with car audio at any age. HI FI 4 LIFE! debating on a bit tune processor starting to plan the build.

I spend 2-3 hrs a day driving. So a SPL/Q system keeps me happy. Daily driver with a focal system...
i spend 1hr a day during the week driving but i work 3rd shift and like high spl to stay awake and keep deer away from car. i also love rock music and like my system loud. and Doug inspires me to build something nice!
One is never too old for car audio, and building speakers.
One, however, does get too old to have loud exhaust on a daily driver.
