One of the truest things in Siege.
just a while ago had a fantastic game where I simply muted the whole solo q squad after the backseater and his mate suggested I was throwing, ended up going 10-2 and clutching the game, and of course I learned this from Macie, saw him mute obstructive teammates and play coolheaded so many times, there's literally no reason to allow them in your head/ears

tbf, most people don't understand how shotgun vert is played, so I don't think they had any idea why Macie was waiting (he was holding the diffuser), from their pov it just seems like this random teammate froze lol (others in his position/situation would've been panicking and running around)

Also, the patience shown on Border with that Doc is what the R6 community needs. Everybody forgets each round is 3mins, and every round is different.

I've always esteemed you and learned from you Macie, but i still can't wrap my head around why you've become an advocate for the removal of one-shot- headshot. could you elaborate on it?
I don't want the removal of one shot headshot, I just prefer the headshot multiplier be reduced from 50x to 2x so that the number of bullets is dependent on a number of variables, such as the gun's damage, range, HP values of the opponent, if he was shot through a wall, etc. This would make the game significantly more rich by making survivability dependent a number of variables which would put more emphasis on the strategy and tactics that players put themselves in, but absolute 1SHS under any and all conditions completely undermines that and puts an overwhelming amount of emphasis on pure gunplay.
7:58 is a great example; in theory Buck should have a massive advantage over me strategically, his body is well covered by the metal beams above me and I'm standing in the complete open with zero cover below him. The thing is that if he can shoot me in the head, I can shoot him in the head and at the end of the day the winner just comes down to who hits that headshot first, erasing any value that Buck's gadgets/tactic brought him there.
Regardless if it's luck or skill, these interactions and outcomes happen in every single round of Siege especially at higher levels of ranked where people can consistently hit those headshots. There's a reason why rounds are so short and players barely set up site, use their gadgets, or even play the objective, their value is just not felt enough for them to bother when all you need is one shot to the head to win.
@MacieJay thanks for the thorough explanation. While I like the idea of variables, as you put it, I think this matter can be reduced to two main concepts, with them being the Effective Result and the Realistic Implementation of 2x headshot multiplier:
Effective result:
this is the matter where most people are going to disagree, because it boils down to points of view. Let me elaborate: it is true that different variables would open up to new and different ways to play the game unlike anything before it (like you said, buck could've survived the headshot, enabling safer plays from attackers, and this is just scratching the surface), but one could argue that this could close as many ways as it opens - I, for one, have always liked the idea that no matter the situation, you are technically able to win a round with just 5 bullets; My fear is that the game would become not unlike many hero shooters where one single person has a relatively small impact on the overall round if takes by themselves, and the team is worth wayyy more than the single player. I do realize that this boils down to just personal preference, you either enjoy this aspect or you don't.
Realistic Implementation:
Aside from the "why", we must also take into account the "how". Actually switching from 1SH to different multipliers would be a monumental feat balancing-wise and while not impossible, I dont trust Ubisoft would be able to do such a thing - game balancing would have to be thought again from fhe ground up, there's no other way to put it - some guns would be hell to balance and the entire roster of operators now shares a web of guns from the same pool. I doubt some maps would even work with anything different from 1SH right now. I believe we'd see some power position become even stronger and other sites rendered useless.
If you see this lmk what you think, this matter has never really been discussed in a serious way, and could be deserving a video of its own, id really like to see what other creators think about this whole thing.

@@MacieJay I respect your opinion and I know what you mean about winning engagements you don't deserve to win, but I still think that removing 1SHS would actually put more emphasis on gunplay. It would give superior fraggers more confidence to take every gunfight and swing every angle, because they know they will win. With 1SHS timing beats technical skill, so you if you get the drop on someone you will pretty much win every time. Without it, there isn't as much punishment for people who get outmaneuvered or don't drone.

5:07 while the enemy team did a good job coordinating runouts on the retake the only way to win that is to have one person stick it. Doc spam stims them to tank the fire and someone holds the swing. Rest runout to delay the swing.

Nice to see skopos not becoming irrelevant, not in a power way just the interest of the community. I think a change to make one of the robots a 3 armour and the other a 3 speed would really make it a bit more unique, you kinda have just two boring robots that often don't do much.
