Yardistry Greenhouse Build Day 8 Vent Screen and ... Done!!!

- Project Day 8 - Vent screen - was only possible because of my shoulder surgery in January. And the delay in building the greenhouse was to let the shoulder heal! So the overhead installation of the "vent mesh" was going to really be the most challenging, physically, because it was all overhead.
There were a few minor challenges along the way - but overall, our impression of this kit is - it is extremely well made and easy to assemble. We limited our "build days" to only 90 min to two hours because we just didn't feel like working in the heat!
First two days - prepping the location for the greenhouse, then 6 days of assembly, taking our time while also trying to beat some forecasted rain. We were successful.
The missing pages in the manual were probably the most bothersome - and we had some challenges wrapping our heads around some of the drawings and instructions in the manual. The videos online - both from Yardistry and from other RUclipsrs were very helpful.
Now - back to more projects and hopefully, on-going growth in production capabilities for the videos.

Hey Terry, thanks for the comment. I'm so glad this helped you! If I were to do something like this again, I'll try to do more detail on each of the steps.
Maybe when you put a different shim behind the sliding latch you could also put a shim behind the bottom magnet.
That's a great suggestion! We'll keep that in mind.
Where did you get the vent screen? We have wasps in our greenhouse.
Hi Sue - it came with the kit. Which I think was something Yardistry added between 2022 and 2023.
Here's my rationale for the thought. We found the manual that came with our kit was dated from Oct. 2023. But the online versions for the same manual were from mid 2022, as I recall.
The older manuals did NOT have the installation instruction page for the vent screen.
In my manual, it's part information is: "Vent Mesh", (Y20118-852).
My hope is that you could request one by contacting Yardistry directly. I hope that helps.

@@martinleif2872 I got my kit in October 2023 and it did not come with a screen.
That's quite strange, and blows up my theory.
However, it's still my guess that contacting Yardistry directly may help purchasers get a vent mesh.
