The British bull dog has a cigar probably because Winston Churchill became synonymous with them. He smoked cigars and the bull dog was the fight to survive. I think we also have BBQ rice cakes and ones with white chocolate as well. Not sure if you’d agree it tastes like BBQ as I think you guys use a lot of liquid smoke and we’re not used to that here. School starts in September here not August, at least in my part of England anyway. It ends in July. We have 13 weeks holiday in total across the year including bank holidays, occasionally additional bank holidays.
The lego figures were SO CUTE!!!! Scotland's schools have a slightly earlier summer holiday than England. In England schools generally break up towards the end of July, and go back in the first week of September. Schools get between 5 and 6 weeks off for the summer break. I did look into how many school days you have in a year in the US, and it isn't so different from ours overall. British kids have 190 school days in a year, and I believe your average is 180 days. Re the funny placenames- of course if you hear them frequently in everyday conversation you stop noticing that they are funny. For example 'Shepherd's Bush' is a well known area of London- and originally home to the BBC Television Centre, and so it's never occurred to me that it is potentially funny (although I do get why it is). It's been mentioned elsewhere- but please note the Robinson's squash has to be diluted - So many Americans try it neat, and it's just a sweet syrup!

Crisp bakes they are lovely with slice of cheese and tomato very nice with cuppa tea for lunch .i have cottage cheese sometimes with cucumber and pinch of parika on them too .and rice cakes I use houmous and lettuce and cibies /scallions

Lindsay, be careful with the teabag squeezers. If you press too hard, the teabag can burst and then you get ground tealeaves in your cup. Also, it can increase the bitterness if you squeeze the tealeaves too hard. Just squeeze gently to stop the drips, then pop it in the bin.
Whittards used to have tea shops everywhere ( I don’t know if they still have shops) . They would sell , teas, and teacups. I used to love it as a kid. Felt soooo English. I also remember the shops called past times. It was such a great shop, you would love it if they were still around. full of all sorts of English things from years gone by.

The reason why the UK schools has a long summer break was originally so they could help on the farm during the best weather.

Remember the robinsons juice goes into the glass first, you add water to it, not add it to water. It mixes better that way.
You can also get used to putting the “right” amount of squash in the glass, rather than guessing, to get the taste you want if you put it in first.
