Hey, there was a ritual tournament a while ago. It got me thinking. Crystal Beast Zenith and Pegasus allows for Xyz and Links Monsters. Revolution Synchron is a good tuner to allows the deck Synchro monsters. The deck can easily run fusion Monsters like Guardian Chimera. Heck, Crystals Beast can even work around Tribute Summons too. But what about the rituals or Pendulum mechanic? The modern Pendulum mechanic only hinders Crystal Beast seeing how they fill the back row. And Ritual… Well, Ritual often consider the worse mechanic period. So I have to ask, is there a way to build a Crystal Beast Deck around or very least able to use these either mechanic?
The in-game Ritual event you mean? Surprisingly enough years ago R3Q had some theory with Ritual Sanctuary to loop Ruby's effect. Also in MR3 Crystal Master and Keeper were released in OCG while the pend zones were separate from the S/T zones, but by the time they were imported to the TCG it was MR4 where the zones were combined so we couldn't really take advantage of it. One of those big "what ifs"
Why did golden rule not partially resolve in the dragon link match? The "then" conjunction implies that the special summon is contingent on placing the crystal beasts from the deck , not vice versa right? Even if you had no valid targets after the called by, shouldn't you have been able to place the crystal beasts from the deck? Is it because it's technically an equip spell and needs a target to resolve in any capacity?
That's a great question. You'd think it would resolve as much as possible due to it being the A effect before the "then" conjunction like you mentioned. Might have something to do with it being an equip with special properties like you mentioned as well
@@jimthekidd they don't activate, so you can crystallize under Bagooska, but if the monster's effect is negated, you can't. For example, under Skill Drain you can target/destroy Blue Eyes Chaos Max even though it's protection is not an activated effect
That Runick game was brilliant though. With how fast modern Yugioh is, I’m always happy to watch players like you who can play the grind game so well. That Vanquish Soul duel was also so good, even if it wasn’t a win. Unfortunately, they got our nose :(

Because golden rule lost the target. This also happens with pot of avirice. If the card loses a target it does not resolve.
