- Using the Sunsynk hybrid inverter together with 11 KVA wind turbine.
A great day out in Ireland Showing proof of principal of a wind turbine working with a Sunsynk operating system.
The wind turbine is connected to a controller which consists of a bridge rectifier and an automatic dump load switcher.
I will do a follow up video with some tips and advice when installing this type of configuration, But the video shows it’s working perfectly.
Big thanks to william and Paul
Hey from Galway. Just ordered the 3.6kw "Swiss Army Knife". Sunsynk battery coming soon too.
Thank you..."Wild AC"...I like that..👍🤣
Awesome work guys ! LOTS OF ENQUIRIES FOR TURBINES !
Are'nt dump loads a pure waste ? it would surely be better heating water with that resistive load instead ?
There is water being heated, only when it cant take any more heat via thermostat and max sell to grid level has been reached and theres no other load and batteries fully charged then the power has to go somewhere so it goes to dumps. Renewable energy is a feast or a famine, sometimes you just have too much! But even the dump heat isnt wasted as you might notice its drying logs and clothes by radiant heat, and keeping garage nice and warm! And anyway dump loads are required for electrical standards compliance.
Awaiting wiring diagrams showing
diodes, and separate charging and discharging circuits to batteries.
Lovely machines...🍻
Who makes the board that controls the wind turbine dump loads?
Please respond Sunsynk...
@sunsynk5885 Any luck?
Very! Wow...thats dark..ja
Miért nem melegítenek vizet azok a műterhelések, szerintem ez így ebben a formában nagy energia pocsékolás!
8:56 "... 2 MPPTs... are absolutely independent of each other?"
8:57 " yeah, one is bigger than the other"
11:54 "..MPPT2 is a smaller current"
Mppt 2 is lower power than mppt 1
Look at bottom of spec at 10:00 min on video. 26A & 13A. Something I overlooked to do!
@@williampollard6259 you are right... I am accustomed to seeing these numbers same (on other models) and was confused when keith said "one is bigger than the other"... lesson learned: "read the spec".
Are those dual axis controlled solar panels in the video?
They sure are Peter !
@@williampollard6259 Thanks, can I ask where you purchased them from?
Can I ask please would you have a Type Test Certificate (TTC) from an independent, accredited testing agency covering the make/model/size of the inverter in compliance with Standard EN50549-1:2019? Thanks very much
Yes Sunsynk does have EN50549
Hi there. Can I connect a Tesup 5KW wind turbine to the 5KW Sunsynk inverter?
Im not familiar with tesup, is there wild frequency ac leaving the nacelle or is it allready rectified dc? Is there a dump load and dump controller? Either way if its wild ac or recified dc( depending on your voltages) i would say yes its possible, but better to use 8kw inverter i imagine. Are you installing it parallel with the grid with batteries or off grid with batteries ?
My question exactly. I got a 6kW Deye just set up with 4x700w panels, will be adding 2 more PLUS the turbine. The site I am at is very limited windspeed wise (average 5m/s over the year) and lacks proper clearance to achieve those speeds. I will be connecting the Tesup to its own input on the Deye. Will report later with a video or a short.
should have put 15 panels per mppt in series
Hello Wesley, I prefer to parallel strings where possible. I don't like high voltage string's. In my experience smaller strings have more consistent working voltage. If a shadow or excessive bird sh1t hits just one panel in a string then the current is reduced on the string. I started off with 3 panels over ten years ago and I had a 4 pole change over switch that allowed the 3 panels to be in series or parallel and I was taken back at the voltage variations of the 3 panels in series. They delivered more power through an appt charge controller when in parallel. As a compromise to overlooking the current limit on the MPPT 2 input on these inverters I only today have altered circuit 2 to be fully in series that is 7 panels from each tracker. So now I have cut the current to MPPT 2 in half but with a working voltage of about 460v. Next sunny day I am back on this Kildare site I will make a video showing the voltage difference between the 7 panels on each tracker. We have an ESB pole shading the nearer array that has to be removed for the low sun of this time of year. I will demonstrate the effect of this shadow on the now 14 panel circuit. The other circuit with 2 strings in parallel of 8 panels each I have no intention of making into one string. The potiential 18 amp max of this circuit is well under the 26amp max input on MPPT 1.
What about optimizers? An optimizer per panel, or every two panels?
Can we purchase Sunsynk in the United States, yet???
if not, when?
Sol-Ark banned the sale of Deye in North America - no Idea if that includes SunSynk.
@@DanBurgaud Yes, this icludes Sunsynk.
Turn that windmill DOWN it is producing to much wind! 😅
😂😂😂😂😂 9kw array and you’re getting 900W?
When you consider that a turbine never saves as much co2 as it takes to build and service them, and this cold calm week they produced almost nothing, you have to wonder at the IQ of their supporters.
So why can nobody in Ireland sell me a single phase Sunsynk 8.8kW hybrid inverter? @Sunsynk - please contact me!
because everyone is getting inverters, much shortage.
