Angelina is one of 5 young singers born in 2006. There is another young lady who was born in Kazakhstan in July of 2006, Angelina was born in January of 2006. Angelina turned 18 in January. This other young and very talented lady will cross that threshold in July. Her name is Daneliya ( pronounced, Duh nel ee yuh). I first saw her in 2017 when she auditioned for The Voice Kids Ukraine 2017. I am giving you the link to that audition which has English subtitles. Daneliya so impressed the judges that they had her sing an encore with an entirely different song called, 'Tree My' that is how they pronounce in Ukrainian. Anyway, the audition is 10:30 long but is worth the time. Here is the link to that.

I know everyone (almost) commented on this but the child is singing in English, and perfectly pronounced , I've seen this a lot watching reactions, when a reactor expect it to be in another language, therefore don't hear it. Liked this reaction, big hugs from 🇸🇪

Angelina Jordan Astar, born on January 10, 2006, in Oslo, Norway, showed a passion for singing at an incredibly young age. At just one and a half years old, she sang in her crib, inspired by Whitney Houston's performances on RUclips, and by the age of three, she was already listening to jazz and classic legends on her iPad. In 2019 and 2020, at the ages of thirteen and fourteen, Angelina once again gained viral attention on America's Got Talent: The Champions. Her unique versions of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" impressed not only Simon Cowell but also earned her the golden buzzer from Heidi Klum. The surviving members of Queen also praised her performance. Perhaps most astonishingly, Angelina sings in English, her third language.
During her earlier years, and especially after her America's Got Talent performances, multiple record company executives took notice of Angelina's talent. However, her family declined their offers, prioritizing her education and a normal childhood. It wasn't until she turned fourteen that a contract was signed with Republic Records, marking the start of her career. Between the ages of eleven and twelve, Angelina even composed her first three original songs: "What is Life," "Oslo," and "Shield." In November 2020, at the age of fourteen, she released the song "Million Miles" as a tribute to her late maternal grandfather. This marked her first release under Republic Records, and a year later she followed it up with her jazzy and upbeat single, "7th Heaven."
Why does Angelina perform barefoot? It all stems from a promise she made to herself at the age of six. While traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, they encountered a young orphan girl who had no shoes and had scarred feet. This girl weighed people with scales to earn money. Angelina gave her own favorite shoes to the girl, and when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, the girl said she wanted to be a doctor but couldn't because she had to take care of her siblings. When Angelina was asked the same question, she said she wanted to sing for the world. The young girl promised to pray for Angelina. Since that day, Angelina has performed barefoot as a reminder of those less fortunate. At the age of nine, she even wrote a book about this experience titled "Between Two Hearts," becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway.
Aside from her music, Angelina is known for her charitable nature. She has helped raise millions for children and environmental causes, mostly from performances at fundraising events. At the age of eight, she even pledged to donate her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to children in need. She has performed for heads of state in various countries to raise money for charity and during the pandemic, she was seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. Throughout her career, she has continued to prioritize helping those in need.
Now that Angelina has recently turned eighteen, her activities with Republic Records have multiplied. She released her original song "Love Don't Let Me Go" on May 5th, 2023, followed by her EP "Old Enough" in July, featuring five new original tracks. Her song "Our Time" has been featured in a commercial by SoFi, a finance company, and is played regularly at Sodi Stadium. Additionally, it has been heard on various radio stations.
Angelina's performances have taken her to numerous high-profile events. In December 2022, she performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles, and in February 2023, she performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, reaching an audience in the millions. She was also invited on Germany's Next Top Model in 2023 by Heidi Klum.
On November 25, 2023, Angelina had the honor of attending Le Bal, the annual Debutante Ball in Paris, France. Additionally, she was invited to perform at the tribute to Narges Mohammadi, the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, on December 11, 2023. Narges is an activist for women's rights who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran. This performance held great significance for Angelina and her family, as her grandmother Mery Zamani grew up in Iran. They hope that Angelina's performance, combined with Narges' story, will inspire change and raise awareness of her mission.

She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 with songs by Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and the song Summertime. Sir, at the end of NGT 2014 she was dearly beloved by these judges. The young Man here is Omer Bahti, Protege of one Michael Jackson. To this day hey is a fast friend to her family and her, as is the Jackson family. About 34 months later, the people of Norway declared her THE NATIONAL TREASURE OF NORWAY. She is in Norway like a noble woman, but she is such a Dear.

Welcome to Angelina Jordan and her angels, "some of the nicest people on the net" you're going to experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience here is some history, Angelina Jordan is a music prodigy she started singing at the age of 1.5 years and more than that she started with Billy Holiday Jazz. Angelina sings in 5 languages, designs her clothes, and has written a top-rated book called "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts)"Norway's youngest published author" a story about why she wears no shoes during her performances, and like her name, she truly is an angel with a heart of gold. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when her audition for Billy Hollowday's Gloomy Sunday went viral and she got world press she started the competition at 7 years old and won at 8 years old. In her younger years before age 13, she was watched over by her mother (Sara) and her Uncle, Angelina's manager, who just wanted her to grow up normal. Her mother and uncle Turned down almost 90% of all requests for her to perform. Still, even so, from age 8 to 12 years old, she has been all over the world (Her mother and or her Grandmother are never more than a breath away) Angelina has produced millions for environmental causes and children's causes around the world. Angelina has produced over 160 covers and 6 originals and makes them her own, all will astound you. New people to Angelina get sucked down this"rabbit hole" not believing what they're hearing her excellent vocals and unique way of singing, Angelina is a master at music structure her ability to show absolute recognition to a cover while she makes it her own is just unbelievable. Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RUclips before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

For those who do not know.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. I can gather from this that you don't know of BillIe Holiday. She was a very famous American jazz singer from the 50's and 60's. She sang this when she was in her forties I think and Angelina at seven matches her so well. This is the reason the judges are so blow away. Nice reaction from someone new to the phenomenon that is Angelina. Hope you see a few more and perhaps you can catch her latest performance at 18 in Las Vegas. Gloomy Sunday is known as one of the most evocative/emotoinal songs in music history. It was nicknamed the Hungarian Suicide song (orignially from Hungary), because of it's mythisized effects on people. Billie Holiday's version was banned from radio during World War II, because it was thought too depressive and bad for moral. I think the ban officially lasted until the 2000's in UK.

Yes, Her 1sr performance on stage. She wanted to enter when she was 5 but the rules said you have to be 7. And she has been singing since she was 18 months old. This is Norway's Got Talent so they were speaking Norwegian. She sang in English which is not her 1st language. Much of it is difficult to understand because she sang it in the Jazz style with her own style of phrasing which is difficult to follow If you pull up the original lyrics you can make out much more of it. When you compare it to the way Billie Holiday sing it you will be astounded what a great rendition it is. By the end of this show her singing improved lealps and bounds and was close to perfect. Her next performances after the competition had her signature voice perfected, another level beyond any 8yr old ever in my opinion.

I liked your first reaction, and I do understand that if you go down her catalogue, you will learn a LOT about music and different genres, which is always a good thing, right ? Even though jazz is what Angelina lives and breathes, she can sing ANY song in ANY genre, and totally slay it. SO far she's been covering songs spanning at least 8 different genres. I would really love if you would give her cover of Adele's "Easy On Me" a go. She recorded it in black and white in Republic Record's studio when she was 15 years old. Language is Norwegian and yes this was her first public singing and i fell in love with her voice at once. I voted for her win and she alone got 46% of all votes given in the final. She did cover "Bohemian Rhapsody" on AGT Champions 2020 and she got golden buzzer from Heidi Klum and rest Queen was so impressed so the gave her the copyright to her version of the song. you really need to do some research on Angelina Jordan. whenever she performs a concert or whatever, she always performs barefooted. she met a young girl a year or so before in the middle east while her family was on vacation, before this video was made. the young girl was working on the side of the street where her family were walking. she was using bathroom scales to weigh people and they would pay her. it was cold out and the young girl didnt have any shoes. Angelina went over and sat the young girl down on the sidewalk and they talked. Angelina asked her why she wasnt wearing shoes and the young girl told her that her family was too poor to buy shoes because she would outgrow them too fast. the young girl complimented Angelinas shoes, about how pretty they were, so Angelina took her shoes off her feet and gave them to the girl so she would have some shoes to wear. after meeting the young girl, Angelina told her family that anytime she performed she would always sing barefoot, until every child in the world had shoes to wear. over the years Angelina has done benefit concerts and raised millions of dollars to help provide shoes for children around the world. once in a while you will see her sing while wearing shoes, but its done on a spur of the moment. Angelina is a very special talented young lady who was born to sing. she arranges the songs she sings so they are not exact duplicates of the original recording. her version of Michael Jacksons Billie Jean is amazing. her birthday is January 6, 2006. she is now 18. her fans are called "Angels". so so so much to learn and know about this young lady. she is also very tall now !!! close to 6 feet tall.
I suggest looking up the lyrics for each song prior to reacting to the song. Not being used to listening to this type of music is why you’re not understanding her. Her English is excellent and annunciation superb. As you get accustomed to listening to her it will become clear. However, truly understanding the lyrics when Angelina sings has opened my eyes to depth and beauty of many songs I thought I knew. Of course the emotion she sings with is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. When I started listening to her original songs the depth of her lyrics just blow me away. She’s a special human being.
