    Thanks for taking us along. Nice job on moving the dredge down river. It's always a relief to be finished with dredge moves..

      she is only 500kgs... maybe a bit more now with the sump etc.. but she moves through the water easily, if the river is deep enough we can move her up with just her motors running, but if we cant we use a ele winch...

    Hello guys!
    I'll ask you something about orange gloves, with which the operator works.
    What model are they? And what size? Are they specifically for dredging?

    • @12madcow
      @12madcow  5 лет назад

      Hello, they are winter safety gloves, they have a lining inside which we take out so our dive gloves fit inside them..

    Hello I am from Bulgaria, I admire your perfect and interesting work, so I turn to you, would you showed me how to do POWER jet 5 inches in Vidin clip here in Bulgaria there is no where to buy ready but to do thank you in advance.

      mmm you need a couple of 6hp motors with pumps or a single 9hp with a p500 pump to power a 5" dredge, as for the power jet, you would want it to be about 5ft long and match the jets to match your pump output, which is normally 1/4 the size of you output hose on your pump...

    Nevis? you should have taken some close up video of the claim jumpers they could have been named and shamed by locals also what process were they using to prospect over that other side were they just panning ? if so do they have a rights to pan there as as hobbyist as your claim is for dredging in the river and not dredging the bank is this correct ? and yeh if i was in your boots id be pissed if some one was sneeking around down near your claim you need to keep a good watch out for your gear love the vid you post keep up the good work great too see there is still a bit of shinny stuff in the waters

      Hey BShaw.... We camp down there during the week and pack everything up at the end and bring it all out, only takes an hour when we use all the winches to pull her out.. as for that claim jumper, that was my mother, her 4" is being serviced and having a few changes done..... In saying that we have seen and know a few claim jumpers out there, so we are always keeping in contact with the other claim owners and farmers...

    Hell if jumpers just had a pan whats the harm. Jumpers would let you know if thy see more than just a pan being used.

      I quite agree, however the claim is publicly notified and it is common manners really, if they ask its usually not a problem, and there are public fossicking areas open to the public. On this claim we have seen large areas where unknown peoples have just been helping themselves so we do take it seriously, as the fines can be thousands of dollars and confiscation of equipment. By the way that jumper was my wife so one has to be careful, but still a great way to spend a summers day.

      We're used to seeing it being panned out.
      Wonder why you were dredging the outside of that bend?

    • @12madcow
      @12madcow  7 лет назад

      We only pan when using the smaller dredge, and if you have a good look you would see why we are dredging there... Gold is where you find it, not where some one tells you where it is.... And that's why we always test both side of a river....

    • @Scott.Farkus
      @Scott.Farkus 7 лет назад

      Gold deposits mostly on the inside of a bend, because that's where the low pressure area is, so it drops out there. You might find some fine gold on the outside, but the best gold will be on the inside.
