Can you ask Alex if when removing the seals and paper tube (Step 17), how close was the inner most seal to the copper bearing flange that is pressed into the brush end housing? When He was removing those seals he punched them out. I was able to get the outside one but the one close to that copper bearing flange I was unable to get the punch on the seal without nicking and misshaping the copper bearing flange. Will have to remove it and press in another one. Does the inner most flange seat right up next to the copper bearing flange?
Question: Do you have to change any seals or gaskets on the sonar puck? It would seem like that would also have a gasket of some sort. ?? Bout to do my ultrex. Great video!
The kit only came with the front and rear seals plus the threaded bolt gaskets. The bearing was separate and I got it since I was already in there. Didn’t notice anything for the transducer although I’m sure there is one as the wire runs right through the nose

Yes, according to Alex the inner seal was right up against it. Sorry for the delayed response!

The seals are uni directional. They are perfectly round

What size socket did you use to install new bearing?
Just marched it up to the diameter of the bearing. Sorry, don’t recall what size it was

What is the best grease to use on lower trolling motors inside of them? Seals and bearings?
Alex used a White Grease.
