For those who can't understand the story in Chinese: The story is actually an AU in which Weiying disappears and becomes Mo Xuanyu. He thinks he is Mo Xuanyu and falls in love with Lanzhan when he comes to the Mo Manor. However, his cousin notices his feelings for Lanzhan and tells him to stop dreaming on. After all, Lanzhan also has an arranged marriage with Weiying. One day, while Weiying is outside, he overhears people talking about the Gusu Lan clan taking in disciples. Thus, he makes his way to Gusu Lan. During the entrance test, he sees Lanzhan and he falls even deeper and Lanzhan seems to have some interest in him but holds back because he wants to honour his arranged marriage with Weiying. The final entrance test was to eliminate a demon. Weiying drops his sword and Lanzhan recognises it because it was written that Suibian belongs to Zangse Sanren, Weiying's mother. From there on, he knew Weiying's true identity and stopped holding back his feelings. Lanzhan asks Weiying if he remembers anything about his past but he doesn't. All he knows is that his parents passed away when he was young. After that, a Lan sect disciple reports to Lanzhan that there's an strong resentment energy being emitted somewhere and asks Lanzhan for help. Lanzhan brings Weiying with him to investigate the case. They get to spend time together alone and their feelings grew deeper while investigating. While eating out, Weiying hears people gossip about Lanzhan. The convo goes like this: A: "I wonder which clan his fated one is from?" B: "I heard its this person called Weiying. But this person has been missing for many years." Upon hearing this, Weiying feels sad as he thinks he in Mo Xuanyu. Lanzhan walks back in to the restaurant and the people stop gossiping. However, Weiying had already left the restaurant. Weiying hears someone scream for help and falls into a pit while trying to save the person. He sends a signal for help and Lanzhan rushes over. Together, they defeat the Slaughter Xuanwu and Weiying passes out in the water. Lanzhan saves Weiying and calls his real name. Weiying smiles at him and says: "Just now, I heard (you call me Weiying). I never thought a day would come when I can see Lan-er Gongzi look at me this way." But he thinks to himself, "just a pity... I am not (Weiying)..." While Weiying was in a coma, Lan Xichen comes to find Lanzhan and asks him to try to find the missing cultivator (Weiying) again. Lanzhan however, ignores his brother's requests and says that he will bring Weiying (or rather, Mo Xuanyu), back because he's injured and classes are starting soon. Weiying follows under Lan Xichen's class and members of other clans come over to study. Weiying befriends Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng. Weiying then accidentally sees that Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan are secretly in love with each other. He promises not to reveal their secret. Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren have a talk and Lan Xichen tells Lan Qiren that the disciples this time round aren't bad. He suggests that Jiang Yanli would be a good match for Lanzhan but hesitates because of the arranged marriage Lanzhan has. Thus, Lan Qiren makes the decision of asking Clan Leader Jiang for an arranged marriage between Jiang Yanli and Lanzhan. Upon hearing this, Weiying knows that Jiang Yanli is upset and tries to convince the elders to change their minds, but gets told off instead. Jin Zixuan gets upset as well as he likes Jiang Yanli, thus, he storms off upon hearing the news. Weiying stops Jin Zixuan from walking off and Jin Zixuan cruelly says "if you're that concerned about her (Yanli), why don't you ask her for an in-hand marriage with her father yourself?" Lanzhan happened to see everything that happened. Weiying turns around to see Lanzhan walking away and chases after him. Lanzhan speaks to the elders and asks them to reconsider their decision. Lan Qiren scolds Lanzhan but Clan Leader Jiang says that this marriage should be decided by the children themselves. Lanzhan then asks Lan Xichen what he should do if Weiying doesn't want the marriage, and Lan Xichen asks him if he knows of Weiying's whereabouts, but he doesn't answer. The scene then moves on to Weiying thinking to himself that he absolutely will not tell anyone about his feelings for Lanzhan. Lanzhan brings Weiying for a night hunt again and after the fight, they enter a town that happened to have a wedding being held. Weiying smiles and wonders how nice it'll be if he could marry the one he loves too (Lanzhan). But then he remembers that Lanzhan is in an arranged marriage with Weiying and feels sad. They stop by a wine shop to get drinks and Lanzhan gets drunk. Weiying then asks Lanzhan "Do you like Weiying?" while he's drunk and Lanzhan replies that he does while smiling. Hearing this, Weiying feels extremely heart broken. Clan leader Jiang sees Weiying's sword while in the Cloud Recesses and asks him if he's Weiying because of his sword. Weiying then finds out the truth that he is actually Weiying, and not Mo Xuanyu. Only Weiying is able to pull out Suibian because it has recognised him as its owner. He then starts to recall memories of his own past. Lanzhan walks in to Weiying's room and Weiying: "I still thought... You and him (Weiying had something going on)..." Lanzhan: "who?" Weiying: "then why did you tell me you like Weiying?" Lanzhan: "I knew you were Weiying since a long time ago" Jiang Yanli pays Weiying a visit and Lanzhan overhears Yanli asking Weiying if he likes Lanzhan. Weiying nods but Lanzhan isn't able to hear his answer. Thus, he thinks Weiying doesn't actually have feelings for him. He tells Weiying there's no need to force their marriage if Weiying doesn't have feelings for him. Weiying looks at him confused. Lanzhan continues saying that he overheard Jin Zixuan telling Weiying to ask Jiang Yanli's father for a marriage if he likes her. Annoyed that Lanzhan doesn't know his feelings, Weiying replies, "I'll ask your brother for a marriage then" Of course, Lanzhan wouldn't allow that so he carried Weiying home. In the final scene, Weiying asks Lanzhan how he recognised him and Lanzhan explains that only Weiying can pull Suibian out from its sheath. He shows him the ancient script that states that Suibian is Zangse Sanren's sword.
I just felt I've read an entire 240k words multi-chaptered fanfic while watching this video. I want to praise the creator; all the scenes, scripts, music filters and overlays suited well, only a genius can pull out something like this out of the drama! So basically this is an AU (alternate universe) where Wei Ying thinks he is Mo XuanYu, he carries Suibian as his sword. Wei Ying is a cultivator who vanished a few years ago, but he actually lost his memory and thought he was adopted into mo family and was raised as Mo XuanYu. Then "Mo XuanYu" meets Lan Zhan, and Lan Zhan sees that this "Mo XuanYu" person carries Suibian. In the Lan rules one of it states that Wei Ying, who carries the sword Suibian is the person LWJ will marry, because Baoshan Sanren and Lan zhan's mother used to be close friends and set a marriage between Lan zhan and Wei Ying before they were born. So Mo XuanYu, Jiang Sect and Jin Sect came to Lan Sect to study, "Mo XuanYu" happens to see that Jiang Yanli and Jin ZiXuan likes each other and supports them. In the meantime, he falls in love with Lan Zhan. Shortly after, Wei Ying hears that Lan Qiren, Jiang Fengmian and Lan XiChen kind of wanted Jiang Yanli to marry Lan Zhan, but they did not really push for it because they soon realised that you shouldnt force a marriage, and Lan zhan is still set to marry Wei Ying despite him still not found. Lan Zhan by this time already knew "Mo XuanYu" is actually Wei ying and already loves him, but Wei Ying still thinks himself as Mo XuanYu, and is disappointed to find that Lan Zhan is engaged to this person called Wei Ying. Once, when they both got drunk "Mo XuanYu" asks Lan Zhan if he likes Wei Ying, Lan zhan answers yes, and "Mo Xuanyu" became heartbroken One day, the two of them went to night hunt in xuanwu cave and "Mo XuanYu" was heavily injured, during his struggle in battle, he hazily regains some of his memory, Lan Zhan calls him Wei Ying in a state of worry and they both finally knew his true identity. "I already knew you were Wei Ying." "How?" Lan Zhan hands Wei Ying Suibian and shows him the sect rules, that only Wei Ying who is able to unsheath suibian was Lan Zhan's marriage partner.

So basically this is an AU (alternate universe) where Wei Ying thinks he is Mo XuanYu, he carries Suibian as his sword. Wei Ying is a cultivator who vanished a few years ago, but he actually lost his memory and thought he was adopted into mo family and was raised as Mo XuanYu.
Then "Mo XuanYu" meets Lan Zhan, and Lan Zhan sees that this "Mo XuanYu" person carries Suibian. In the Lan rules one of it states that Wei Ying, who carries the sword Suibian is the person LWJ will marry, because Baoshan Sanren and Lan zhan's mother used to be close friends and set a marriage between Lan zhan and Wei Ying before they were born.
So Mo XuanYu, Jiang Sect and Jin Sect came to Lan Sect to study, "Mo XuanYu" happens to see that Jiang Yanli and Jin ZiXuan likes each other and supports them. In the meantime, he falls in love with Lan Zhan. Shortly after, Wei Ying hears that Lan Qiren, Jiang Fengmian and Lan XiChen kind of wanted Jiang Yanli to marry Lan Zhan, but they did not really push for it because they soon realised that you shouldnt force a marriage, and Lan zhan is still set to marry Wei Ying despite him still not found.
Lan Zhan by this time already knew "Mo XuanYu" is actually Wei ying and already loves him, but Wei Ying still thinks himself as Mo XuanYu, and is disappointed to find that Lan Zhan is engaged to this person called Wei Ying. Once, when they both got drunk "Mo XuanYu" asks Lan Zhan if he likes Wei Ying, Lan zhan answers yes, and "Mo Xuanyu" became heartbroken
One day, the two of them went to night hunt in xuanwu cave and "Mo XuanYu" was heavily injured, during his struggle in battle, he hazily regains some of his memory, Lan Zhan calls him Wei Ying in a state of worry and they both finally knew his true identity.
"I already knew you were Wei Ying."
"How?"
Lan Zhan hands Wei Ying Suibian and shows him the sect rules, that only Wei Ying who is able to unsheath suibian was Lan Zhan's marriage partner.
