Haven't owned a retro... Would you recommend the vertical form factor of the 351v over horizontal form 351p or the 351mp? Is the metal 351mp with dual SD card worth the price bump or the weight kills long term gameplay?

Hey stew. I'm looking to get one of the anbernics. First time retro player. Would you recommend the metal 351m given the extra weight vs the 351p? I was tossing up the new 351mp which someone said 2 storage slot cards was handy. But apart from the metal factor and 4:3 aspect screen wondering if fatigue ergonomics wise the plastic models were better? Some otherwise suggested a vertical handheld form like the 351v that maintains 4:3 ratios. Which model or aspect ratios and form factors suit more flexibility.to explore other consoles I've never played (beyond ps1/GBA intentions)?
Some promising looking handhelds here, for sure. I definitely want to wait out the Analogue Pocket and see what happens. I have a decent collection of cartridges and love the idea of still being able to use them. I have also been really impressed with my Mega Sg in terms of build quality and functionality, so I feel pretty confident that it will be a high quality device. I do feel like some of the other options may be quite a bit more ergonomic though, so I guess we'll see what happens.
I must say, as old as the RK3326 may be, I love it. Sure I want upgrades, but this chip can: 1. Play at much lower latency than anything with Android 2. Run on cool temps 3. Be in affordable devices For an upgrade, is there other SoC they could use that would be all this but be significantly faster? In this video the only one that has any possibility of having that is the Powkiddy Max 2 and it's unlikely as you pointed out, sadly... everything else is Android based. Oh, and FPGA, but that thing neither supports RetroArch nor will it even come out :D
My first retrohandheld was a GP2x, the unofficial sequel to the gp32. Now I have an Odroid Go Super, but as Retrododo has said, I want a system that can I play Dreamcast and N64 well. I don't need Gamecube or PS2, but I certainly won't be disappointed if it does.
I'm still rocking my RGB10 Max here. Powkiddy got it pretty right with that one as it is definitely my favorite RK3326 handheld. I'm glad to see a lot of these upcoming systems are going with the larger screens. Looking forward to this new crop to see what we get. If I can have full speed PSP, DC and N64....I am 100% happy.
