You say you don't call yourself a feminist any longer.
Maybe that is wise if one takes into account that 'feminism' today means something totally different to what it meant originally - claiming to have the same rights/treatment as men in the same cases. Today 'feminism' means demonising men, claiming to be excused by default for every shortcoming and failure, claiming entitlement to everything without any contribution to it, etc. etc.
I, 70yr.'cismale', still call myself a feminist in the old sense.

Thats the most ungreatful viewpoint you could possibly take in this scenario.
      It has to start somewhere.
From your black pilled point of view, this worth nothing.
Youre just sulking in your missery, being a victim just like the people you most likely complain about.
Be greatful SOMEONE on the other side actually came to this conclusion.
And is actively working, *exclusively* I might add, to spreading this view.
Shes doing more for mens right than you are.
10 years ago there were none.
5 years ago there were 3.
Today there is maybe 30 or 40.
A drop in the bucket still...
      But it is growing.

The mother was an outrageous feminist who constantly berated men. One day while she was outside the shop having a break, I asked her to name everything that she could see around us. She named the lamp posts, car park, houses, the roads and pavements, the petrol station etc. Then I asked her how she thought that they actually appeared there. She told me that she supposed that some men put them there. Then I asked her if she thought that the same group of men were responsible for the making of the items and materials, and she was stunned into silence. I explained that what she took for granted every day, involved gargantuan effort of millions of men working endlessly to create the environment around her. She remained silent thereafter.

Generally speaking, women believe that their feelings are accurate. They believe that their emotions are realistic methods to measure reality. It is EXTREMELY rare to come across a woman who understands that her emotions are instinctual reactions that are filtered through what she has learned at the time of feeling them. They have no understanding at all that emotions are just as likely to be wrong as to be right, if not more so. (edit: well... no... they DO understand that, but rationalize every possible way to ignore it)

As a man who has had "discussions" with countless women, "not listening" really is the default setting.
Women, like many who feel threatened, are waiting for their chance to hammer home their point rather thsn listening and assesing answers.
This is so prevalent that it is at the core of humour about married life.
We joke about the subjugated male. Brow beaten man should just swallow and stand...maybe a little shorter each time.
This is a reason i have never been married. I am approaching 60 and have never allowed myself to be lowered enough to accept this.
I fight back and walk away when i feel under valued and so, have no family and no children.
I have lost a lot and it makes me sad.
This is just a small example of how men are not treated equally.
This content covers the vast swathe of other areas.

Im 41, still single too, and most likely will be for the rest of my life, even if i would have no problem finding a woman, i just can't trust them anymore.
Even when i talk with my own family women, they are exactly like that... they never listen, they only want to be listened AND to be right whatever we talk about, when you say something they answer with unrelated things that were related in their own mind, but had nothing to do with what's been discussed.
And as far as my experience says, women are like that almost everywhere.
Maybe in poor countries they are still willing to listen, but that's only cause there aren't "same rights"
As soon as you put women on equal foot to men, they WILL step on them and spit on them, cause ALL women want "the better men"

Thank you for shearing. I'm a 69 year man, socially, I am sensitive, empathic and introvert; my wife was sculptor, strong and extrovert. A few days ago, I reacted to a "short" where a young woman said:"we live in a world made by men for men", and I don't agree. Yes, we live in a world made by men, but , as much as possible, for women. When you look at the world in a historical perspective, men and women living together is a quite new phenomenon. In the past, men lived in a "men's world", and you had the "world of women", but the two worlds did not mix; men were outdoor, women were indoor. Men have always built things for the protection of women and children. There was no real need for communication out of what was practical need. We live now in a world where we have the luxury of time and security. Indoor women have always communicate under the protection of men, but in our modern world, build by men, women have no need anymore for security, and they acquired a legal and financial autonomy. And that's the way men made a world where they are useless, in the point of view of most women who have no clue of how and why the world looks the way he looks, as a man said:"go outside and look around you", and the woman will go outside, look around and not understand. To be empathic means: I am not only hearing you, I listen and understand .

If you're working 14-16 hrs , 7 days a week, it's little wonder why she gets bored and the relationship fails. If you're putting everyone in your life ahead of yourself, no wonder you're unhappy. So few people, men or women, seem to be willing to reverse their wrong point of view and then publicly admit what they discovered. Putting the truth first can bring radical change.

Cassie learned the facts the hard way. She reminds me of a divorce lawyer who was asked whether women seeking divorce were abused physically and mentally. He said that such cases are now very rare. Most said they were bored with their husband. One question this lawyer asked his female clients at the outset was whether they wanted him to be fair with their husband or whether they wanted him to go after their husbands for as much money and resources as he could get from them. Few women now chose fairness. Marriage is going to disappear, and women are going to be responsible for its demise.

That few women actually listen is, imho, driven by the fact that women talk to each other about everything, then affirm each other. So they go into every conversation with a man 'knowing' they're right and don't listen to what he says, too busy anticipating what to say next. Men don't do this much at all. Women seem to have endless emotional needs, men not so much - so they reach out to other women. This results with the female collective declaring themselves right in everything and ignoring any injustice to men.

The reason for her former way of thinking and the way of thinking for most people today is because most if them have a divided/unbalanced/dualistic mindset which leads people to think and imagine things in a "us vs them", "me vs everyone else" type of thinking wich also leads to believing and seeing everything in a zero sum way. Basically if your not helping "us/me" then your helping "them/everyone else".
This is also due to a lack of understanding or straight up willfull ignorance of Objective Morality leading to basing right and wrong on their personal feeling and idiologies. A moral and intelligent person wouldn't care whether the victim of a crime or injustice was of a specific gender, they would only care who was the victimizer (the immoral one) and who was the victim (the one in the right).

I agree, but Politically Correct AGITATORS think that they have all the answers, and take any challenge or disagreement as a personal threat.

Well, it's been a while since this came out. All her feminist funders refused to back the documentary at the start. It ran by crowdfunding, probably right wing free speech contributions.
And it is still a very niche documentary. I have found you can now use the talking points mostly without getting piled on. So maybe the dial has moved a bit.

This is a classic, and it will be held up as a milestone in gender politics in future generations. Stick around for 20 or 30 years, and you'll see. We are way ahead of our time.

@@prschusterwith every argument, you must have some established and proven axioms to build from as a foundation. Although it took her a long time to finally realize them, putting them into a documentary and making this TED talk will slowly but surely give men a platform to combat rampant misandry. Probably on the time scale of 20-30 years as you list.

I have always been semi-solitary but have always loved women. I have 4 sisters and a great Mom, all of whom I love. I had a great run from 17 - 25 where I dated a lot but then moved for a job. I met another woman at 34 and she got pregnant and we married and I have my lovely daughter. My wife and I divorced very amicably but I have chosen to go back to my solitary life. I prefer it as women today aren’t like they used to be. They have all the advantages in society. They’re really cruel. That’s somewhat due to their own insecurities displaced on men. I did what society dictated - get married, have kids, etc., and I now I live happily alone. I at least I have my daughter who thankfully doesn’t have any female trait I found off putting. I applaud this host for having an open mind.

7:40 - When I was a young intern at the University of Southern California's Los Angeles County Hospital, we could expect to see fourteen-suicides per week (two-per-day). Of those fourteen suicides: seventy-eight percent were men and twenty-two percent were women. Ninety-seven percent of the men were "successful in committing suicide", while only five-percent of the women were "successful in committing suicide". In summation: Women try to commit suicide, while men who commit suicide, die"; from which the attending physicians developed this axiom: "Women try, while men die".

Listen carefully men. Even when doing a documentary on a subject, interviewing 40 men for 100 hours it still wasn't until she sat to transcribe the hours of information that she actually heard what they were saying.
By her own testimony. We have a problem, men are working out solutions but most accept that agreeing with women on the truth and convincing women that we are not evil is not a solution because it is not going to happen, they cannot hear us. Accept it's broken, accept it's not getting fixed and work with the problem. That's what we do best. Every generation has its tragedies but we are going to be ok.

Thank you very much for this message. I can’t help but believe that part of the problem with not listening is that we react out of our own woundedness. I think that we all just want to be loved and respected. I don’t want to be anyone’s enemy, or to be hated. As a man, it pains me that we are treated as the dumb blondes of today’s society. I know that there will be times if I speak up about what I believe, or have experienced, a bullseye has just been painted on my back. I would like to be heard, also.

Maybe the coldness of women has resulted in the appearance if cyborgs/robots etc ... out of the desperation of men to have a good relationship with a being of the opposite gender ...

I'm a 64 year old man and I have called myself a feminist since university. I spent 20 years in the Canadian Navy and saw and celebrated the advent of women in combat roles and the beginnings of admitting that sexual assault was swept under the rug for far too long (this is still rolling out now, decades later). When I started out in life men still held a majority of all professional positions, and I saw that was wrong, because women are just as smart and capable.
But feminism hasn't got everything right. My marriage of nearly four decades is coming apart due to a lack of intimacy, and while I'm beginning to see the web of personal baggage that is involved (and that 'blame', if that's even a useful term, is of course shared), feminism has played a role in this too.
The marriage became clinically sexless for more than the last two decades, but I held on, hoping it would get better. When I started what I now see was a last-ditch effort to save us, I was told that having intimacy needs, expecting or even wanting sex as a man was simply supporting the patriarchy. Anti-feminist thought and action. I was out dated.
The process had made me take a look at feminism and gender relations in the wider world. And things are awry, as this talk illustrates so well.
So the pendulum has swung beyond the goal here, and I'm hesitant to identify with the label "feminist" now. I think a humanist, equitable approach makes much more sense.
    Thanks for this.

Speaking truth and sharing your experience makes a difference.

Had this video just been called MEN ARE THE ENEMY, a lot of female viewers would have clicked on it but unfortunately most (not all) would have left the minute they realized what the topic was really about.
