Ted actually arranged this for Virgil, he looked after him well did Ted. Sadly though and i hate to speak bad of the dead but Virgil was quite liberal with Ted's generosity, and kinda took the piss @ conventions and such it ended up souring things a lil towards the end. Virgil the man servant. The perfect role for him, since he couldn't wrestle well, or talk on the mic.

I remember seeing Teed Dibiase in the late 70s early 80s as a child at Wheeling Civic center. I grew up in Ohio. It was always Dominic Denucci and him against like the Valiant Brothers, etc... He did a hell of a transformation from then to the Million Dollar man.

The funny thing is when I first started watching Ted wrestle was on Midsouth Wrestling. When he was on WWF and The Million Dollar Man, my kid brain thought how did he get so rich. How come none of the other old Midsouth guys are as rich as him?
