@@marcusgurley9495 Yup sad really as Ted not only really looked after him even through his rough years, but was a great friend to him. Virgil sadly just took it for granted.
He had a good look with his build. He just had no charisma, no microphone skills and definitely no wrestling ability. I was shocked to see how brutal he was, whenever he was put in the ring. At least he was surrounded by guys who were over the top characters to help him out. Ted DiBiase and Roddy Piper.
I've always had a soft spot for Ted!! But that basketball stunt ALWAYS bothered me!! I mean.....it displayed such a reality in America! And wrestling back then was what it was. I love this episode with Ted and Virgil. I also considered their promos the best. I don't think they were trained actors, but look how well they inprovised. Not enough credit is given to wrestlers for this talant as well. They sacrifice their bodies for the entertainment value. Yes, they get paid, but as a fan I find there skills to act above TV or movie actors. And the Ted DiBiase laugh; OMG, I wish I could laugh like that. It never gets old.

Personally I felt that it would have been great for the company an the characters career, He was one of the most smoothest workers, the way he sold moves!! In the 90s my friend Mike Leno was the west coast dentist for WWE. I was a pro fighter and he made our mouthpieces so occassionally I would get to meet some wrestlers. I asked Mike if Ted dibiase was really rich. He laughed out loud and said he is not any richer than the other wrestlers but he flies first class on the bosses dime.
The one thing many people don't know is Ted DiBiase is a hell of a technical wrestler. Just watch some of his matches on RUclips with him in Mid South Wrestling. It's a shame Vince didn't have Ted actually have him really wrestle.
