    Why are shift points set so low, should be higher with that cam

    315/35/17 Nitto 555R's. They are 3 years old and they kind of suck now. The first season they were pretty sticky and worked good on the street. Not that great at the track.

    nice camaro seems fast as hell. what kind of rim do you use for the 315s. Im lookin at getting 275 nitto555r on my camaro. I have 16'' rims. thanks.

    about 10 seconds not bad for a heavy car. i have a trans am with the 2.73s in it also with a 3600 stall and stock motor it runs almost like that. i love punching it at 60 mph it gets to 90 so fast haha holy highway gears 90 mph in 2nd gear with a 4 speed auto

    My tuner used a "mustang dyno". Put down 336rwhp/334rwtq, which is about 380ish on a dynojet, give or take 10hp. Maybe 450ish to the crank.

    You car pulls surprisingly well even with the 2.73 gears! Have you taken it to the track yet?

    • @county_bear9509
      @county_bear9509 Год назад

      Gears really don’t affect the quarter mile much with these higher stalls. I believe 3.42 shaved .2 seconds. Honestly I’d like the economy and highway cruise of the 2.73s.

    Awesome car...sounds pretty nasty too. Kinda sounded like it had a flat tire or something towards the end of the vid though...lol.

    I have - Nitto 555R's (315/35/17) on a 17x9.5" c6 z06 replica wheel.
    If you want the 275s they will work fine. I was going for looks though.

    @209seancoatello Throttle control (right foot) if I bought brand new drag radials it might hook. This wil be my 5th season on Nitto 555r's. In the video I probably don't put it to the floor for the first second.

  • @xZZxTakedown
    @xZZxTakedown 14 лет назад

    That is what I have heard. A lot of people recommend the 555's for street use. I take it you have wider rims too to fit the 315's on?

  • @allbaugh04
    @allbaugh04  13 лет назад

    @ScrewedByRequest
    ASR will actually apply the breaks if I were to floor it with it on. ASR is completely useless and can make you wreck. On this particular video I stalled it up to 1500rpms, which I still spun pretty bad. You just have to find what works and peddle the throttle. I can't mash the gas, maybe if I had slicks I could. Don't hesitate to get that 3800 :D

    @allbaugh04  13 лет назад

    @Whitews6transam
    No it's a Z28. The 3.42s were a big improvement. Need better drag radials, cuz it spins all of first unless I am light on the throttle.

    Yes sir, currently looking for a stock 3.42 10-bolt that only came in T-56 (6 speed) cars. But would settle for the 3.23s. That's my next and maybe my only mod I will do. I've been considering a 100 shot of nitrous, but just not sure yet. It's only a weekend warrior. Not a track car.
    Not sure why u think it shifts so well lol. It's been rebuilt and in this video it isn't equipped with the shift kit. It shifts smooth as butter. Shift kit was removed. I plan to put it back in

    @xZZxTakedown
    Yes they are a good street tire. The new Nitto NT05R is supposed to be even softer. So that should grip a little better. 00 tread wear rating I hear. Yes a bit wider, not much 9.5" rims

    He's being sarcastic lol. That's a stock lt1 Camaro time, he runs a lot faster than that I'm sure.

    My tuner did increase line pressure, I believe. But that's not the best idea, it can make your pump go out.

  • @fleetfeet2004
