The prices may look cheap, but income is also much lower in Iran. So the food costs take up a greater percentage of the monthly budget.

Most Iranians don`t support the Iran government. We would remove the sanctions if you stopped attacking us and Israelis. We simply react to what Iran government does. Iran government is like Maoist China causing upheaval. Its a death ideology over living. Ancient Persia was the ideology of life, not death.

Oh please even indian media also said the same that Iran economy is worst in the world, cheaper goods doesn't mean good life, that's why iran is the 2nd most sanctioned country in the world and it's one of the worst places to live in due to no freedom and oppression. You say you are in Thailand?? Why are you in Thailand?? Go live in iran under sharia, and you say you married a Thai women?? Why did you marry a Thai women?? Doesn't your Islam says marry only Muslim women and no interfaith marriages?? You're just like those hypocritical islamic jihadists, double standards as always and no respect for others faith.

In Turkiye, I simply avoid supermarkets and do most of my shopping in local markets/bazaars. Even that's not cheap, but better than supermarkets. There aren't many places left in the world where you can eat properly for £2.50. Local joints in Turkiye still provide wonderful food for these low prices. Folks on minimum wage can still eat well.

When I lived in Iran in 1970-72, 100 Rials(10 Toman) equaled $1.30. With the devaluation of 1 Toman equals 10,000 Rial and the present 50,000 Toman equals a dollar the currency is worth 1/5 millionth of what is was 50 years ago.

Thank you for sharing food and goods prices in Iran. I have always wondered about them. where can i buy them though online ? In Korea. a pack of rice 20kg is priced 45 usd . 400g of chicken thigh costs 10USD and rest of the dairies and spaghetti noodle prices are priced 4 to 6 USD per...... also we got 9USD minimum wage per hour set....so here is getting very expensive to everything.... i feel like every thing costs here in korea as expensively similar as food prices in grocery shops to 1 person dining out at restaurants in Canada, Toronto back in 2015s .... I would like to hear more about Iranian food prices and life good prices ! thank you

So much better than in the USA. This store has huge assortment compared to American supermarkets which are much much smaller than this giant supermarket with only a few items per food necessity groups. Amazing and all this under decades of sanctions. Seems like American supermarkets are under sanctions when you compare this with poor food selections with few types of anything really and it always same items pretty much crappy compare to this.

Prices are even cheaper than India. Here Honey costs about triple of that price. Rest of food items have 10 to 20 percent higher price. I am talking about supermarkets in cities. In rural areas locally produced things are available in cheaper price. But prices of things which are not produced locally are much higher in small rural stores. It is because transportation costs are higher because of high diesel price. And prices are not reliable here. One week it may be 40 rupees for onion, next week same onion may cost 120 rupees. Both customers and farmers are fed up.

Great video. Here in Marrakech city. Supermarket prices are at least 20% more than the prices in your video, for cleaning supplies. The French store Carrefour is 30% or more, while Marjane the Moroccan supermarket is 20%. Produce is about the same in Marjane, maybe 20% more for aubergine and 30% more for carrots. We don't buy produce in Carrefour because it is not fresh like Marjane. And of course prices are usually less for everything in the soukhs😂

I don't dispute that Iran produces a lot of honey but that on display at this supermarket is probably not pure else it wouldn't be so cheap.
I bought excellent Iranian mountain honey in Dubai and it certainly didn't cost a couple of bucks per kilo (more like 50 - 60 USD and that was a decade ago. Now it probably costs a little below 100 USD per kilo..
Unadulterated honey comb requires a lot of care and attention.
Even the tools used in the process would not be covered at such a low selling price.
