Who'd have thought that Rainessa x EldenRing would be the best thing to happen this year! Few days ago I first saw this series but realized that there was a longer pause in between these and NOW she is spoilung us so much. Thanks Rainessa! This series is most probably my fav ASMR gaming series :).

Quick tips for Raya Lucaria. You dont have to kill the 2 mages on top of the stairs and you can just run past them. Since you managed to open the door, just run past them and instantly turn left in that room, there will be a Grace there. And one more thing, the main Boss of the Academy (in this case, the 2nd one you will find) is INSANELY resistant to magic (80% res to be exact) and you will have to rely on your sword to deal damage (or anything that isnt magic really). And keep up the good work, the series is great.

I’m on NG+8 doing the dlc everything almost one shots me but I’ve gotten used to it’s more challenging that’s for sure

I also love that the madness ball kinda represents lord of the rings in a way, I’m not sure if that was the makers intent but I nerded out first time I saw it
You are absolutely lovely. Never thought I'd like a gameplay ASMR vid but you make it amazing.
Remember Rainessa, you can dodge a lot of magic by rolling forwards and closing distance. When dealing with mages, especially in this area its better to roll, find cover and get close then whack them with your sword. Especially since almost all the enemies here have high magic resistance. Hitting them with your weapon is also a great idea since they have low poise and will stagger with every hit, cancelling them out of their spell before they can cast it.
Also if your wondering why you suddenly started doing more damage to the crystal boss. Its because she has crystal armour that shatters after a certain amount of hits.
Even casters need HP. HP is the easymode for any Soulslike, despite what nerdlords will tell ya. I would probably cycle between Vigor, Mind and Intelligence if I were to try another magic build. And possibly a bit of Endurance in the late game, both for more utility and to be able to equip some decent pieces of gear that I acquired along the way. Late game would be Farum, Snowfields and Haligtree. By this point you would want at least 50 Vigor. Or it's gonna be miserable. 99 Intelligence is not worth it on NG anyway, because of diminishing returns at the soft caps. Without decent Vigor and Mind, you're gonna run into trouble sooner or later, even if you do insane damage.
I remember struggling a bit in the beginning but Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling carried me through the entire game. I got them after powering through the Raya Lucaria Academy. But you might need more HP to even survive the trip lol. Caelid is deadly until you hit like 30-35 Vigor and the ruins where this stuff is found is packed with enemies. Not that you need to kill them but you are most likely gonna take damage.
The rest of Caelid is definitely worth exploring, when you feel strong enough, even if you skip Ranni's quest. A good point would be during or after Altus, instead of heading into the Mountaintops. By the end I put MS in the offhand and used an even better staff, so that I got both better base damage and the MS effect on Rock Sling. Nothing genius, just strategic. I never had use of any melee weapon after the Academy. I noticed that other people talked about putting magic on your sword and stuff, but spamming Rock Sling from a distance (while your Mimic tanks for you) cannot be beaten. It's the ultimate easymode for NG basegame, I never tried it in the DLC. Against a certain someone you might wanna switch to Tiche but the boss that drops him was one of the hardest bosses in the game, simply because I wasn't allowed to summon.
I can see why you would choose magic+summons for an ASMR run but the game is actually funnier with a melee approach and no summons. If you get a Brass Shield and a good poking weapon, it will still be easymode. I even finished the DLC with a Serpent Hunter and a +0 Brass Shield. Granted, Rykard was annoying lol. He was way easier on my first character with magic+summons. But you can get SH without killing him.
Love the "touch the grace" moment
Me too is so relaxing
One thing that made sorceries a lot more fun for me was finding out that the speed they're casted gets faster with more dexterity; until I knew that I found them too sluggish compared to other ranged enemies (such as the sorcerers on the raya lucarian stairs).
These episodes are a great respite from the DLC! They feel like going down memory lane and you make it extra relaxing. Thank you!

Raya lucaria is for sure a experience for mage builds not only the section can provide you powerful enhancing items but also the enemies are extremely resistant to glintstone spells. You will need to resort to physical dmg while there. Try to finish liurnia in its entirely before moving to plateau or caelid.
quick tip!! you can give the minors bell bearing to the twin maiden husks on the round table hold to be able to buy smithing stones!

As a magic build you’ll pretty much struggle for all of Ray lucaria. I’d book it to each site of grace and run past all the enemies every time. They have a way of camping on top of stairs and spamming spells at you. In one of the next next boss fight you have she’s 80% resistant to magic damage so id bring the lone wolf summon upgraded if your able to. They’re aggressive and make the boss fight a lot easier cuz they stun lock the boss

Quick tip : open your menu and look at the upright corner
you will find your pouch item slots
Its like a quick access menu
Putting your torrent whistles ,crimson and cerulean flasks there will grant you a much quicker access to them without the need to cycle through them every-time
Put these items in the pouch slots in whatever order you like and then hold triangle to access the pouch menu and choose these items using the D-pad

Quick tip, when you’re not filming try to go LITERALLY EVERYWHERE it’s Elden Ring the first OPEN WORLD Fromsoft game, yes you may not be the lvl for the location but adventuring is 100% the way to go to figure out where to go 🙌

A little tips:
- Explore the raya lucaria entrance whitout touch the teleporting walls (precious item).
- press Star and press the D pad to the right, there are a shorts cuts to put like, torrent ( d pad up) , lamp( D pad left), potions(D pad down). Etc. Use: keep pressing ∆ and D pad up, R, L or down, is your choice.
- when u are against mages, shoot one magic and move a little to the R or L. And return to shoot one and move.
- buy on round table older women a blue medallion to more spaces to Magic. Give to her ur spheres too.
- More and new magic are in the woman u visited before, give to her the scrolls already u have, then she has more magic to sell.

A little hint for the item that you need for the great lift. The items are two parts of a Medaillon. You can find them both in castles at limgrave and caelid. So look out for it. Take care and have fun by exploring elden ring ❤
