Thank you! This was helpful. As an indie artist, it’s great to be able to save money without compromising quality. I’m listening on my iPhone speakers 🔊 & I didn’t hear a difference between the two condenser mics. 🎙️
X3 is a U67 copy, which for some is a selling point. As that it gets good reviews, sound wise. It's hard to know how robust it is without subjecting it to long work hours over time but the quality of components like capacitors and the PCB, etc., can offer some indication of it's probably longentivity. Otherwise, great to see you!
Not sure about the OTT test. If the OTT is allowed in both cases to expand as much as it wants, it would be logical it will more or less deliver the same results, no? I found your whispering test a better way for hearing the noise floor :-)
Listening to it on an iPad: no difference. Listening to it with headphones is a different story: the more expensive mic has a flatter frequency curve and the noise floor is just … noise, while the other one produces a low hum as well. In other words, the difference is there for sure, but not audible in all circumstances.
Thank you!

Great job, Woochia!
The t.bone Mics are ridiculously good for their price.
I have the SC400 as well. But the SC140 is even better.
I am an old fart and can't hear the difference. I watched your sea shanty video already. It is so much fun! I love it :)

Uh, thanks for the useful info!
Both sounds good.

Yeah it's logical to have a hiss in both cases, I tested that to hear if the noise was different between the two mics

Can't hear any difference. At least not 300€ worth.
Exactly my thoughts 🤔
