fps doesnt make u better it just unlocks potential
Perfectly said.
Then what's the difference then?? Ultimately the goal is to be best
also unlocks your wallet

I play on a 60hz monitor and tried my friends 144hz monitor. The difference in aim was huge. Moving characters appeared more smoothly in 144hz and I was tracking them better. Didn't think MS would matter in FPS games but guess what it does.
Yup the difference between winning and losing fights comes down to milliseconds so any advantage is huge
I would never in my life play a 60 fps on a higher tv thats not match to your card. There might be some benefit but you will be out syn and stuter will happen. Not a lot gamers care besides, retro gamers.

My reaction time on a 60hz monitor is around 190ms. Honestly, if buying a 144hz monitor can shave off almost 1/4th of my reaction time and drop it to around 150-160 that would be amazing.
yeah a 144hz will get it down like 10-20 easily I guess cause I used to have 180ish in 80hz and I have around 165 now in 144hz
my reaction time on 60hz is 180ms, it would be so op if I get a 144hz monitor

Glad I could help you out Prem!
All my speculations have been quantified in a way I didn't know, was possible, and it feels good to know that I wasn't wrong, thanks a lot for the video!!
No problem V! Glad I could help clarify things!
I like this review, you give a set of data of analysis, makes your explanation more reliable compare to others.
Those extra few milliseconds give our brain so much more info that helps us track and flick more accurately
I would also comment on panel type being a huge factor( TN vs IPS vs VA). I have used all 3 panel types and can say TN is much faster and smoother. When I got back to an IPS or VA it feels like slow motion.
apparently pixio has a monitor w an ips panel that is as fast as a tn panel
RGB improves everything
No RGB=30 FPS RGB= 300+ FPS
I was looking for such comparison, thank you.

Been playing on TVs and 60HZ for 12 years almost. Lost thousands of gunfights like the last one. Recently upgraded to a 165HZ hoping to see an a slight increase in game as I broke almost all kovaaks PRs of mine by 200-300 points.

I play on 60hz with 60fps and still pop people but with 60hz I do miss some crucial shots when my monitor is choppy due to 60hz. I have to get 144hz laptop next time I wanna buy a PC. Higher refresh rate and FPS just gives you a better advantage but you become a beast when u train harder on your aim.
Yup that’s how i felt too! it’s worth the investment!
Not seeing the box there on split was f’ing with me hard than I realize this a year old video lmao

Nice explanation bro ! Appreciate it 👍
Of course!

Were you locking your fps to the monitors' respective refresh rates, or leaving it uncapped?
high fps and high refresh rate = better experience = more fun = better everything else
If your computer can get 144 fps. Getting a 144hz monitor helps alot everything looks much smoother just moving your mouse around for example
wow big brain times.....
yeah 2k with 144+hz is the best.
may i know what resolution you using in the game and video settings? mine seems unclear despite its maxed out at 1080 while yours looks like 4k

Played on 60hz for 2 year for now and i have a reaction time of 190-220ms.I cant imagine what its going to be on 144hz.
*Cries in 30 fps*
ur actually honest and i love it my avg on 75hz is 185 ms and i do score 160s 170s avg on human benchmark and sometimes i hit 130ms i really wanna get 240hz but i cant cause my parents dont support me even tho im really good among my refresh rate players.
that’s insane! hopefully you can upgrade ASAP!
@@Flipszn my avg now is 168 lol :3
I’d imagine it’s much easier to track targets at a higher refresh rate, and once I get my hands on one I think I’ll really enjoy it
Yes tracking is much easier because your eyes are given more information as to where targets are going
Let us know, give us a update!
I cant wait to finally get me first new pc ive been playing on 60fps for years and when i try to play on my cousin's pc well what can i say theres a huge different.

True any gaming setup makes a good gamer better..
Hey what's ur graphics settings? Ue valorsnt look so bright and smooth
My friend has drastically improved after changing from 60hz to 144hz, I'm d3 player and he was gold 3 and even i was surprised how much faster his shots were, (i still play on 60hz 80-90ms so maybe His shots seemed faster)
Hello, my monitor is capable to run 144 hz but the default resolution (1920x1080) is set to 120 hz. Any help on how to change the hz of the resolution? Any help from other people are helpful too.
Make sure your using a display port cable if available and check in the Nvidia control panel to see if the 144hz option is there (go to display settings in windows if your on amd graphics card)
ur just hosted damn son!
I have a question. If your fps is lower than your refresh rate, for example 144hz, will it look bad if your fps is only averages 130?
This makes sense
best vid thanks
I honestly like having higher hz because it looks better and 60 hz just hurts my eyes when moving the camera fast
Man just called me poor for 5 minutes
I thought I was just trash at Valorant until I played it on my friend's proper 144 Hz gaming setup. My laptop sometimes falls as slow as 15-20 fps during intense firefights so I'm at a pretty severe disadvantage during these sorts of situations and it's really frustrating sometimes. I usually have a k/d of about 0.5 but once I tried playing on my friend's I instantly improved to about a 1.5-2 k/d. Totally unrelated but I'm now in the process of building a gaming PC...
i feel like my skill is getting capped at 60 fps now i need higher hz, i get 170ms reaction time on human benchmark on 60 hz, i think it should be around 150 on 144 or 165 hz, on 60 Hz my aim feels inconsistent, sometimes i have clips of me flicking and shooting targets but not having a frame where my crosshair is on target, cause at this point im relying on my muscle memory more than visual feedback, 60 fps just doesn't seem enough
Yup that's exactly how I felt. The jump between 60 hz and 144 hz is incredible. You won't believe your eyes once you get your hands on a 144 hz monitor!
@@Flipszn i went from gold to diamond when i got 144hz monitor few months ago its really incredible
@@vanshaj8338 It truly is
Yep you just said it. There's just no visual feedback in 60hz especially with fast flicks.
There are still some pros in R6 that still play with 60hz monitor
Dunno why they haven't preferred changing
No kap I see at least a 50% performance increase in my experience. I play on a 60hz laptop with an igpu that barely gets 60 stable fps and stutters a couple times while playing with average 140 ping. I played at an internet cafe a few times with pretty good gaming pcs and the difference was night and day lol.
i absolutely enjoyed the video! Have a nice day!
240 hz laptop or asus tuf 300 hz laptop advice please on which to buy
But when you go against the pros reaction time is very important. . i shot a guy he was low he jumped on me from behind a box and instant killed me with one shot if i can just move a little left in time he miss or i can shoot first. .
you were at 962 yesterday lol
nice
Great content 🔥🔥
Thank you thank you!
Me crying in 30 frames and 60hz
Thats a jump but can you tell me as a person with inconsistent fps should i max it 75 since thats my max hz or 60 since i dont see much of a difference to play in 75hz and when i fall in frames i fall from a building while i fall from a house in 60
i usually run around 100fps on valorant and i am thinking about getting a 144hz, is 144hz ok on 100fps? or is it fine for me to stay on 75hz
Im switching to a 165hz monitor and upgrading to a pc i think itll make me generally better because i get a lot of frame drops on 75 hz monitor
Dang, me over here capping my fps to 30 to have stable frames
Get a graphics card
@@dikbuttbutt let me plug a graphics card into my laptop

I play valorant on my crappy laptop i set max fps 60hz but sometime when i go in to a fight it goes down to 20,30,40hz but i think 60hz is enough for my gameplay preforming as long as it doesn't goes down
hitted diam w a 60 hz and iam thinking of changing it any advices for screens?
I play on 40-50fps potato laptop , im sliver in a val been playing for 2 months, will switching to 144hz make a huge diff ? Or is it just a placebo? I mean it will be better but is it worth the money?
Yes it does effect my main is bronze 2 i have hard time since im playing on 60hz but on my friends account that is gold and had 144hz i was like hella op i was having fun for the first time since i could see the diff on computers with diff hz
I went to diamond with 45 fps and 60hz monitor and 90 ping.
I3 3320 + (4x2)8gb ram DDR3 1333mhz + GT 710
So it's not the monitor that's stopping you
it doesnt improve your aim but it does help you to play the way it used to be. I'm a 60hz and 50fps laptop gamer and i felt that when i play compe it's just too uncomfortable because it affect the timing and the momentum that's why 140hz is the proper set
i will get 140 fps normally and refresh rate 60hz . is it good for valorant
good to know that there are other reasons why I'm shit at this game. i play on 60 hertz macbook pro and literally bottom frag all the time. but when i use a 144 hertz monitor i swear my match history is all green with more chances of top fragging.
How do u play valorant on Mac os
@@redbeeyt5758 through bootcamp i play on windows 10
So, dos that means that aiming at 120fps is a little better than 60 fps? I'm just curious because my laptop sometimes drop a bit lower than 60fps. And also my friend keep saying that I have bad reaction time than them. Because he is playing at 120 fps. Just curious.
You should try a match same rank and skill with 60hz vs 144hz
24inch 165 hz and 27inch 180hz which one should i Buy

please help me in this regard my laptop can produce 120-140 fps but my screen is 60hz panel.......so playing on constant 60 fps with Vsync on a good idea or should i keep it off???
Being a god at aiming helps a lot, but when u have a PC or laptop with 144hz to 240hz with higher fps it just boost you up. It's like adding KEVIN DURANT TO A FULL STACK GSW team.
