    Bought a group of 10 Limbata Juvenile, grew fast and paired then bred in tank without even noticed as the group of fries already free swimming

    AWESOME! So cool to see, my fish mate but never see any baby fish at all. My filter might be sucking them up.

      Might be.. i just used sponge filter and did partial water change about 15% every 2 days.. i didnt siphon the bottom tho.. i didnot want to disturb the fries..

      Power head was off but sponge filter was on.. i didnot even clean that tank until the fries were 1.5 months old.. i didn wanna risk parents to become aggressive..

    Bro will they fight? If I put unpaired 1 male 1 female alone in a tank? If you haw to pair them? I am going to buy 3 inch 1male and female will they pair? Or fight?

    • @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956
      @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956  2 года назад

      I kept 10 juvenile pairs in my growout tank.. later they formed pair in community tank but didnot fight.. things went wrong after they spawned.. parents became aggressive towards each other in a separate tank.. after i removed all the fries..

    • @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956
      @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956  2 года назад

      So i dont think they are going to be aggressive towards eachother.. make sure you keep them together in good tank size.. there is high probablity that they will form a pair

    I recently breed my channa gachua four times and all four times the female ate the baby without the males even knowing. I feed the female 3 times a day everyday with a full belly just so she wont eat the baby fries but she still does it. is that normal or just bad patenting from the female or do I just keep breeding until the female gets the hang of becoming better parent? what should I do to prevent the female from eating the baby fries.

    • @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956
      @dr.monkeycrew.animalia9956  2 года назад +2

      Yes that is normal for new parents but if it happens constantly then that female is incapable of rearing its young ones.. it is the male who holds eggs in its mouth.. may be u need to change the female if it frequently eats fries.. thank you for your comment..

      well, there are many species which are having a great number in the captivity aka aquarium, but they are losing their home in the nature and have no place to return. the natural environment which a species is belong to are as important as the numbers of that species itself.
