Would’ve love to see a demo of how this guy uses the pen, in self-defense. I have an atomic bear swat and rebel pen. The swat pen is my EDC, and the rebel pen is for when I’m wearing a suit or business clothes. They are the best self-Defence pens I have ever used, and they also write nice.
So there I was, riding through the canyon, when I caught, at the edge of glance, a flicker of movement to my left. ‘Twas the glint of fell Orc armor... As I opened the throttle, a spear flew from the fell ranks, cracking my CDI box. My escape foiled, I despaired of my fate, but then I remembered-nestled in my pocket, was a tool without rival upon middle earth. Drawing my tactical pen, I held off until I could make my escape-but behind me, I left my weapon in the dust embedded in hardy orc armor. There, it lay in a place unnamed, nary to be seen of by mortal eye again-unless a wayward hobbit should chance upon its place of rest. Should I receive one forged anew, I shall ride to victory once more!

I’m a no longer active duty Marine & an OTR trucker. Most companies will not let the drivers carry any “offensive” weaponry. Right now I use a bright & shiny stainless steel rollerball pen since I gave my last tactical pen to my daughter for when she visits the VA for treatment, the various VA sites being gun free zones. I would appreciate wining this contest so I can have a tactical pen of my own.
I currently own one of these pens and it has been very durable and also like mentioned in the video, it writes well. I agree, it would be good to have a few to have in your EDC bag, gym bag, car or any other place you want. I bought in case of emergencies but never thought about using it as a self defense tool. Glad this was described in the video as a weapon. Thank you.
I agree with the pen's utilization. I've purchased 2; one for each of our cars. I've had over 20 years of self defense experience and can attest to the use of tools like this. "Knowing" (as in having trained) how to use this when it matters can make a big difference. I'm glad I came across this pen some time ago because it is really well made. I've attempted to teach my daughters how to employ the same techniques using other seemingly-sturdy pens and realized that those can easily break. I mainly keep this as a "backup tool" in my car and one in my wife's car. The key is to properly practice so the techniques (they don't need to be fancy) are both efficient and effective. Great product and certainly great value for the price.

I own the Swat pen and I think it is the best pen out there. 2 reasons. The cap has a flat end so when you strike, your thumb gives stability so that the pen doesn't slip. Also, the cap snaps onto either end of the pen, so if you are writing, the cap stays secure on the other end of the pen. The pen itself is durable and attractive and writes well. If you are trying to figure out what your first tactical pen should be, I recommend the SWAT pen.
I work a white collar job, where we design and build components for the top firearms in the world.. inturn I can't carry on the job... But my atomic pen sits in my pocket quietly. But I have had two issues, 1st the pen sometimes stops writing, I need to swirl it on a scrap piece of paper, it's stored flat on my desk every night. 2nd, the finish wore off where the clip contacts the barrel. I notice it.

Bought this pen for self-defense, and glad for it! Never have had to use it for protection, but adds to my confidence to have it. It is also a surprisingly well-writing pen!
Enjoyed the overview of the pen's capabilities. You need something other than your bare hands when darkness strikes. As described, this pen can always be with you and deliver a penatration the size of a .45.
Very nice video. I have several tactical pens and the Swat from Atomic Bear is by far my favorite followed up by the Rebel. I carry it with me everywhere I go. I also keep one in my vehicle. I get many compliments when I pull it out to write with it. Speaking of writing, it is very comfortable to hold and it writes great. Keep up the great products.
I've got 2 Atomic Bear Pens; the classic style one and the stylus version. Both are sturdy tactical pens that I try to keep with me at all times. I liked the comment about the Atomic Bear as a force multiplier that reduces the need for years of martial arts training in order to make self-defense effective. Learning how to use a tactical pen effectively is relatively quick and easy so this does save me a lot of time.
I've been carrying The Atomic Bear's MTP-6 pen for some time now. It has never failed me and I found myself using the pen more than I thought I would. It definitely gives me that extra source of protection and I am glad to have such a quality product with me. I wish I could afford more as gifts for my family this christmas though
Im already addicted to this product! 2 years ago someone great a similar pen made by another company. I had no clue that it was antectical pen. It was just so basic with the glass breaker tip thats about it. I come across some tactical pens add on RUclips that git my attention so I started doing research about the best tactical pen to buy until I ran into the atomic bear which checked off every box for me and im super imprwith the design and the practicality and how much you you can use it in diffways with the additional attachments. No lie I ordered my firone and I loved it so much where I bought a second one and today I ordered two more thinking what if this product somehow discontinued. It was the best purchase I made honestly

I have a MTP-6 and an Atomic Bear knife that I both love and enjoy. I like the ergonomics and quality of the pen, feels comfortable and sleek, and has a tactical feel and glass breaker. The knife is also great in swift deployment and general use.
Just watched the video, now that I received a good link. I have to say, you picked a great person to represent your company, and to present your Swat pen to us, your customers. I have your MTP-6 tactical toolbox which I received from my son last year and I had never heard of a tactical pen before. I love my pen, all the attachments, but especially the flashlight when needed and the glass breaker which is "a very stealthy weapon that goes unnoticed". I've been studying martial arts for over 30 years. I own a couple of different Atomic Bear models and think they're a great product for the price. The video does a good job of explaining the advantages of this model and its relationship to self-defense and general use. It would have been nice to see a couple of moves as examples of how a tactical pen can be used as a tool for self-defense.

I have 2 SWAT pens, a MTP-6 tactical pen, a knife, and a SWAT kit. I carry a SWAT pen in my purse. When I go to EMS I have the other SWAT pen and knife on me and the MTP-6 is in my bag. I keep the SWAT kit in my car. I love my atomic bear stuff. I tell my friends and family if they’re looking for a tactical pen to go to atomic bear. I got my brother and grandfather a SWAT kit and they both love them.
I have 2 pens. The MTP-6 is the one I carry with me at work every day. I work in a Caterpillar heavy equipment rental store. I've dropped it from top of dozers, excavators, backhoes, etc I even ran over it and it's still good. Water gets on it, mud gets on it, oil and grease gets on it, whatever but its works every time and when it's time to sign some papers bammmm never fails. Only thing I would change is instead of screw cap switch it to clip cap. Other than that I love it. I also have the REBEL pen. That one is the one I carry when I go in dates, church, store, it's the pen I carry when I'm outside of work. Looks nice, feels sturdy, love the weight, and just in case I need something to defend bammmmm It will never fail....

I have a couple Atomic Bear knives and love them! I use them a lot in technical theatre for everyday use in building and carpentry, I also take them everywhere I go! I am excited to use this pen and see if it will replace my everyday self defense carry!

Thanks for releasing this informative video. I carry my Atomic bear tactical pen on me EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even though I have a plethora of other self defense tools, I don't leave out the pen. Reasons: it's simple, it writes (which is important to me), it opens boxes, it doesn't look scary to my coworkers (I have the rebel), etc. If an assailant grabs hold of me, this can really scratch. Now you might say you can do all of the above with a folding pocket knife, which you probably could. But the point of this pen (pun not intended) is convenience. I don't need to pry open some blade in a high-stress situation. You just draw it and it's ready. I love that simplicity.

Bought it. Lost it. Bought it again and as gifts. I carried it hiking this past weekend and it was a daily carry when I was going to the office in the city. I feel the ability to grab it quickly and it is ready to go serves me better than having to draw a knife and then flip out a blade. It’s a must have for me.

Would have loved to see a demo of how to use the pen as self defense. I've had a few tactical pens that have all broken but mostly with the twist mechanism to deploy the pen. For the same price I'm going to pick this one up. This looks like exactly what I'm looking for.

I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND carrying a tactical pen! Many countries like Australia and New Zealand don't allow you to carry knives, guns, batons or pepper strays. Carrying a tactical pen is the best viable options, its status as an 'improvised weapon' allows you to constantly have some sort of protection no matter where you go. The pens by The Atomic Bear are sturdy and solid. I've bought pens from them and they honestly beat many of the fancy and more expensive options out there. They've never failed on me and I hope to get more of them in the near future :)

I love my Atomic Bear pen and have purchased them for others. I bought mine for breaking glass, such as if I got trapped in my car during a flood. I appreciate the suggestions in this video and will start carrying mine with me all the time now.

I recently purchased two of the pens and am very pleased with them. I live in a Canadian city and we are not legally authorized to carry concealed weapons, such as guns or knives. However, the pen is a real pen - and I can and do carry one around in my pocket at all times. I use it as a pen in meetings, etc. It does not attract any attention. However, it will also be a very useful means of protecting myself as it does not put any attacker on their guard. No one expects one to pull a pen out of their pocket to defend him or her self. I can easily and quickly grab it from my pocket and deploy it as required. I can also hold it casually with my hand in my pocket if I am walking down the street and a suspicious person approaches, but I do not know if there is going to the be need to use it. I just look like a guy with his hand in his pocket. I have been practicing quickly pulling it out of my pocket and striking from underarm, overarm and cross arm positions; and it takes all of 3 to 5 minutes per day to get the hang of it. It is light and has an excellent grip. Furthermore, I tested it in my basement by repeatedly striking a solid wood 2X4; and it punched small holes in the wood without any damage to the pen. I also have the second one in my glove compartment as a backup. In essence, it is a terrific pen that can also be deployed easily to catch an attacker by surprise. Great product!!!
Chris Newton is a well spoken and knowledgeable advocate for this (These) tactical pen(s). I have a couple different versions of the AB pens and find them serviceable, light and affordable. I also have several other AB items. Gun mounting magnets, first aid kit mounts for backpacks, molle kits. Customer service is awesome and their stuff is great!! I've given the survival kits as gifts, too.
Good info on using a tactical pen for personal defense. See.s like a quality product that is very easy to use and learn. Keep up the good work Atomic Bear.

The SWAT Tactical pen is and will always be my favorite. I carry it all day wherever I go and I feel very comfortable and safe with it. I want to add that I have all the others, but as SWAT there is none

I have owned one Atomic Bear pen. I thought it a great value, high quality/low price. However, my problem is that I tend to lose pens, and sure enough, lost it. I'm hesitant to spend a lot on any pen for that reason. Going to get myself another pen from Tactical Bear.

I carry the MTP-6 Tactical pen. I enjoy using it as my EDC flashlight and backup self defense tool/pen. I love the way it writes and love knowing that even if I can’t carry a blade my pen will be with me to help me in a time of need.

I have been in the Security industry for a little over 20 years. And I have never seen a tactical pen by other companies this affordable by Atomic Bear, has the highest quality tactical pen on the market. I use the Atomic Bear tactical pen to write, self defense & in emergency situations. I would highly recommend to get a Atomic Bear tactical pen from this distributor/ before you buy any other tactical pen. Keep up the great work, production on this amazing tactical pen.
I enjoyed the video. The key thing is train. Just as watching a video doesn’t make you a good shot, if you do not have at least a grounding in working with any self defense weapon, including pens, you lose. I really had not paid as much attention to draw as I probably need to
Neil you've got it my friend. Practicing to draw is key. And imagining scenarios and picture when you draw. For me it is either at the last minute or keep it hidden with arms half crossed. I do Brasilian Jiu Jitsu, so I would say you want to use this anytime you are in close contact and you may need to draw in unusual position. Anyway, stay tuned we have a new class coming out soon!!! I carried this pen for a couple of years. I liked it..only issue was inner rubber gasket popped out frequently when deploying the writing pen. Unfortunately, it fell out my pocket while riding in my Jeep...doors off! 😳 I don’t carry it any more. 😕

This was the 1st tactical pen I bought. Got 1 for my wife and I. She got 1 for my mom, her mom, and dad. Along with my firearm, and a knife, it is on my night stand while sleeping. Are they good for self defense? Thankfully I can't say from experience. But my 6 year old proved that they're great for poking holes in the wall.

I have the Atomic bear MTP-6 tactical pen, it has so many functions in one solidly made pen. I really love it, its very sturdy and well made. The video was very informative and makes you want to have more tactical pens at your disposal. Great job Atomic Bear!
These pens do write very well. The stylus on the Defender is also very smooth. Haven’t had to use the business end on either of mine yet but I’m sure they do their job.
Small, portable, and easy to grab and use quickly, either for self-defense, or just to write a few notes. I have one of these AB Pens, and they are great for a veteran like myself.
This pen looks fantastic I have used tactical pens in the past and having them unscrew can make a huge difference in the quick draw. This pen seems to take care of that issue.

Informative, to the point video! The part that really highlighted for me, is the aspect of environmental awareness. Very important in this world where you have people who prey on others like it's The Serengeti, except for the fact that, you know, people are not actively eating each other, at least, not yet anyway...People are on their phones or just just walking around oblivious and take for granted that bad things won't happen to them, until it does! I live in the heart of New York City and I see it regularly. SO glad I bought this pen and I keep on me all the time! Thanx for making this!
I am a believer in Atomic Bear. I have two of their pens, one (Defender TacticaI Pen) that I use every day at work, the other (Rebel Pen) I carry every where I go. These pens are solid, rugged, and reliable pens, both for self defense and as a quality writing instrument. I highly recommend them!
I own this pen. I'm not the most trained person on how to use it for self defense... but I do know the basic handling and striking techniques. I need to get into the habit of carrying it every day.

I would love to win. My EDC tactical pen has a glass breaker end. Awesome but limits the use of the pen as a weapon of it’s needed. This looks like just what I’m looking for.
Used to carry two UZI tactical pens...until I attempted to fly with them...again. TSA 'supervisor' Cota-Robles decided he wanted them, so they were declared 'contraband' and went from my jacket to his pocket.

I really do love The Atomic Bear's products. The quality and the functionality of their products rivals many other expensive and well-known brands. Their tactical pens, especially the SWAT and MTP-6 models, offer lots of features and are of great quality. I've been using their products and they hold up exceptionally well. I've purchased a few of the Atomic Bear items, their tactical flashlight, the swat tactical pen, as well as the Rebel Pen... They're all a necessity EDC, Go Bag, SHTF Bag, Just In Case Bag (whatever you call or pack in yours) - at least one of these should be included in every cache! Unlike other Self Defense & EDC items, little to no training is needed; as well as they should be allowed almost - everywhere (not restricted). Buy one for you, and for your loved ones today! P.S. I for one can't wait, & everyone else stay tuned for Atomic Bear's new state of the art tactical pen, hopefully available VERY Soon! I can't wait to get my hands on a couple of them!

Got the Rebel... gotta admit... this is one sweet device. Love the utility as a writing device, but am hyped over the defensive capacity of this pen. Me want!
Atomic bear makes great tactical pens. I have two: the Defender and the SWAT pen. The SWAT pen is bigger and bulkier than the Defender, but the Defender is quicker in the hand, has a different center of balance, and can operate a tablet/mobile device with the soft tip. I’ve been training with both of them, discovering which grip is best. For me, The “ice pick” grip seems to work the best, where your thumb is on the top of the cap. Both pens make huge holes in cardboard. They do indeed make holes the size of bullets. They can perforate soft tissue very easily. I would hate to be on the receiving end of a strike from either one of these pens. They also write pretty nicely too!

It's a great pen as well as emergency tool. That is why I bought one for my wife, a good friend, and myself. It's one of the best writing pens I own, and I own a lot of pens.

I love the atomic bear pen I have now and have used it a lot. An in my line of work it is nice to know that you have a pen that you can count on to do a multitude of different things.
Chris is spot on. I purchased an MTP-6 TP a while back. I was so impressed that I bought for a family member. Easy to use! And discrete. I hope to never have to use it other than to write! And boy does it write smoothly. But should I...it will be a problem for someone else. I insist that my family member carry it on daily jogs! Check it out.

I love tactical pens due to their low profile/discreet carrying ability when I can't have my knife. I edc both but there are times I can't have my blade on me. My Rebel pen from atomic bear is awesome...

Would’ve love to see a demo of how this guy uses the pen, in self-defense. I have an atomic bear swat and rebel pen. The swat pen is my EDC, and the rebel pen is for when I’m wearing a suit or business clothes. They are the best self-Defence pens I have ever used, and they also write nice.

I’m a no longer active duty Marine & an OTR trucker. Most companies will not let the drivers carry any “offensive” weaponry. Right now I use a bright & shiny stainless steel rollerball pen since I gave my last tactical pen to my daughter for when she visits the VA for treatment, the various VA sites being gun free zones. I would appreciate wining this contest so I can have a tactical pen of my own.

I currently own one of these pens and it has been very durable and also like mentioned in the video, it writes well. I agree, it would be good to have a few to have in your EDC bag, gym bag, car or any other place you want. I bought in case of emergencies but never thought about using it as a self defense tool. Glad this was described in the video as a weapon. Thank you.

I agree with the pen's utilization. I've purchased 2; one for each of our cars. I've had over 20 years of self defense experience and can attest to the use of tools like this. "Knowing" (as in having trained) how to use this when it matters can make a big difference. I'm glad I came across this pen some time ago because it is really well made. I've attempted to teach my daughters how to employ the same techniques using other seemingly-sturdy pens and realized that those can easily break. I mainly keep this as a "backup tool" in my car and one in my wife's car. The key is to properly practice so the techniques (they don't need to be fancy) are both efficient and effective. Great product and certainly great value for the price.

I own the Swat pen and I think it is the best pen out there. 2 reasons. The cap has a flat end so when you strike, your thumb gives stability so that the pen doesn't slip. Also, the cap snaps onto either end of the pen, so if you are writing, the cap stays secure on the other end of the pen. The pen itself is durable and attractive and writes well. If you are trying to figure out what your first tactical pen should be, I recommend the SWAT pen.
I work a white collar job, where we design and build components for the top firearms in the world.. inturn I can't carry on the job... But my atomic pen sits in my pocket quietly. But I have had two issues, 1st the pen sometimes stops writing, I need to swirl it on a scrap piece of paper, it's stored flat on my desk every night. 2nd, the finish wore off where the clip contacts the barrel. I notice it.

Enjoyed the overview of the pen's capabilities. You need something other than your bare hands when darkness strikes. As described, this pen can always be with you and deliver a penatration the size of a .45.

Very nice video. I have several tactical pens and the Swat from Atomic Bear is by far my favorite followed up by the Rebel. I carry it with me everywhere I go. I also keep one in my vehicle. I get many compliments when I pull it out to write with it. Speaking of writing, it is very comfortable to hold and it writes great. Keep up the great products.
I've got 2 Atomic Bear Pens; the classic style one and the stylus version. Both are sturdy tactical pens that I try to keep with me at all times. I liked the comment about the Atomic Bear as a force multiplier that reduces the need for years of martial arts training in order to make self-defense effective. Learning how to use a tactical pen effectively is relatively quick and easy so this does save me a lot of time.
My daughters signed up for a self defense class, and this pen will be part of their EDC once they learn to use it. And I need one, too!

I've been carrying The Atomic Bear's MTP-6 pen for some time now. It has never failed me and I found myself using the pen more than I thought I would. Im already addicted to this product! 2 years ago someone great a similar pen made by another company. I had no clue that it was antectical pen. It was just so basic with the glass breaker tip thats about it. I come across some tactical pens add on RUclips that git my attention so I started doing research about the best tactical pen to buy until I ran into the atomic bear which checked off every box for me and im super imprwith the design and the practicality and how much you you can use it in diffways with the additional attachments. Just watched the video, now that I received a good link. I have to say, you picked a great person to represent your company, and to present your Swat pen to us, your customers. I have your MTP-6 tactical toolbox which I received from my son last year and I had never heard of a tactical pen before. I love my pen, all the attachments, but especially the flashlight when needed and the glass breaker which is "a very stealthy weapon that goes unnoticed". Ok, I am sold, I will be ordering the "Swat Pen" in the very near future!

I've been studying martial arts for over 30 years. I own a couple of different Atomic Bear models and think they're a great product for the price. The video does a good job of explaining the advantages of this model and its relationship to self-defense and general use. It would have been nice to see a couple of moves as examples of how a tactical pen can be used as a tool for self-defense.

I have 2 SWAT pens, a MTP-6 tactical pen, a knife, and a SWAT kit. I carry a SWAT pen in my purse. When I go to EMS I have the other SWAT pen and knife on me and the MTP-6 is in my bag. I keep the SWAT kit in my car. I love my atomic bear stuff. I tell my friends and family if they’re looking for a tactical pen to go to atomic bear. I got my brother and grandfather a SWAT kit and they both love them.
I have 2 pens. The MTP-6 is the one I carry with me at work every day. I work in a Caterpillar heavy equipment rental store. I've dropped it from top of dozers, excavators, backhoes, etc I even ran over it and it's still good. Water gets on it, mud gets on it, oil and grease gets on it, whatever but its works every time and when it's time to sign some papers bammmm never fails. Only thing I would change is instead of screw cap switch it to clip cap. Other than that I love it. I also have the REBEL pen. That one is the one I carry when I go in dates, church, store, it's the pen I carry when I'm outside of work. Looks nice, feels sturdy, love the weight, and just in case I need something to defend bammmmm It will never fail....

I have a couple Atomic Bear knives and love them! I use them a lot in technical theatre for everyday use in building and carpentry, I also take them everywhere I go! I am excited to use this pen and see if it will replace my everyday self defense carry!

Thanks for releasing this informative video. I carry my Atomic bear tactical pen on me EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even though I have a plethora of other self defense tools, I don't leave out the pen. Reasons: it's simple, it writes (which is important to me), it opens boxes, it doesn't look scary to my coworkers (I have the rebel), etc. If an assailant grabs hold of me, this can really scratch. Now you might say you can do all of the above with a folding pocket knife, which you probably could. But the point of this pen (pun not intended) is convenience. I don't need to pry open some blade in a high-stress situation. You just draw it and it's ready. I love that simplicity.

Bought it. Lost it. Bought it again and as gifts. I carried it hiking this past weekend and it was a daily carry when I was going to the office in the city. I feel the ability to grab it quickly and it is ready to go serves me better than having to draw a knife and then flip out a blade. It’s a must have for me.

Would have loved to see a demo of how to use the pen as self defense. I've had a few tactical pens that have all broken but mostly with the twist mechanism to deploy the pen. For the same price I'm going to pick this one up. This looks like exactly what I'm looking for.

I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND carrying a tactical pen! Many countries like Australia and New Zealand don't allow you to carry knives, guns, batons or pepper strays. Carrying a tactical pen is the best viable options, its status as an 'improvised weapon' allows you to constantly have some sort of protection no matter where you go. The pens by The Atomic Bear are sturdy and solid. I've bought pens from them and they honestly beat many of the fancy and more expensive options out there. They've never failed on me and I hope to get more of them in the near future :)

I have one of your other models and would agree they are built well. The reason I chose the other pen over the SWAT is the SWAT model looks very much like a tactical pen.

I recently purchased two of the pens and am very pleased with them. I live in a Canadian city and we are not legally authorized to carry concealed weapons, such as guns or knives. However, the pen is a real pen - and I can and do carry one around in my pocket at all times. I use it as a pen in meetings, etc. It does not attract any attention. However, it will also be a very useful means of protecting myself as it does not put any attacker on their guard. No one expects one to pull a pen out of their pocket to defend him or her self. I can easily and quickly grab it from my pocket and deploy it as required. I can also hold it casually with my hand in my pocket if I am walking down the street and a suspicious person approaches, but I do not know if there is going to the be need to use it. I just look like a guy with his hand in his pocket. I have been practicing quickly pulling it out of my pocket and striking from underarm, overarm and cross arm positions; and it takes all of 3 to 5 minutes per day to get the hang of it. It is light and has an excellent grip. Furthermore, I tested it in my basement by repeatedly striking a solid wood 2X4; and it punched small holes in the wood without any damage to the pen. I also have the second one in my glove compartment as a backup. In essence, it is a terrific pen that can also be deployed easily to catch an attacker by surprise. Great product!!!
Definitely looks like a really solid defensive pen, never thought how well a pen would aid a situation that could go south otherwise.

(These) tactical pen(s). I have a couple different versions of the AB pens and find them serviceable, light and affordable. I also have several other AB items. Gun mounting magnets, first aid kit mounts for backpacks, molle kits. Customer service is awesome and their stuff is great!! I've given the survival kits as gifts, too.

I have owned one Atomic Bear pen. I thought it a great value, high quality/low price. However, my problem is that I tend to lose pens, and sure enough, lost it. I'm hesitant to spend a lot on any pen for that reason. Going to get myself another pen from Tactical Bear.

I carry the MTP-6 Tactical pen. I enjoy using it as my EDC flashlight and backup self defense tool/pen. I love the way it writes and love knowing that even if I can’t carry a blade my pen will be with me to help me in a time of need.
I carry my AB tactical pen with me when I go on my evening walks. They provide peace of mind, and let me know I'm prepared if something were to happen. Love your products!!

And I have never seen a tactical pen by other companies this affordable by Atomic Bear, has the highest quality tactical pen on the market. I use the Atomic Bear tactical pen to write, self defense & in emergency situations. I enjoyed the video. The key thing is train. Just as watching a video doesn’t make you a good shot, if you do not have at least a grounding in working with any self defense weapon, including pens, you lose. I really had not paid as much attention to draw as I probably need to
Neil you've got it my friend. Practicing to draw is key. And imagining scenarios and picture when you draw. For me it is either at the last minute or keep it hidden with arms half crossed. I do Brasilian Jiu Jitsu, so I would say you want to use this anytime you are in close contact and you may need to draw in unusual position. Anyway, stay tuned we have a new class coming out soon!!! I carried this pen for a couple of years. I liked it..only issue was inner rubber gasket popped out frequently when deploying the writing pen. Unfortunately, it fell out my pocket while riding in my Jeep...doors off! 😳 I don’t carry it any more. 😕

This was the 1st tactical pen I bought. Got 1 for my wife and I. She got 1 for my mom, her mom, and dad. Along with my firearm, and a knife, it is on my night stand while sleeping. Are they good for self defense? Thankfully I can't say from experience. But my 6 year old proved that they're great for poking holes in the wall.

These pens do write very well. The stylus on the Defender is also very smooth. Haven’t had to use the business end on either of mine yet but I’m sure they do their job.

Small, portable, and easy to grab and use quickly, either for self-defense, or just to write a few notes. I have one of these AB Pens, and they are great for a veteran like myself.
This pen looks fantastic I have used tactical pens in the past and having them unscrew can make a huge difference in the quick draw. This pen seems to take care of that issue.

Informative, to the point video! The part that really highlighted for me, is the aspect of environmental awareness. Very important in this world where you have people who prey on others like it's The Serengeti, except for the fact that, you know, people are not actively eating each other, at least, not yet anyway...People are on their phones or just just walking around oblivious and take for granted that bad things won't happen to them, until it does! I live in the heart of New York City and I see it regularly. SO glad I bought this pen and I keep on me all the time! Thanx for making this!
I am a believer in Atomic Bear. I have two of their pens, one (Defender TacticaI Pen) that I use every day at work, the other (Rebel Pen) I carry every where I go. These pens are solid, rugged, and reliable pens, both for self defense and as a quality writing instrument. I highly recommend them!
I own this pen. I'm not the most trained person on how to use it for self defense... but I do know the basic handling and striking techniques. I need to get into the habit of carrying it every day.
Carrying one everyday is definitely a good habit. Put it always in the same pocket and pull it for writing with care so that you build muscle memories for when automatism matters! Be safe and thank you for sharing!

I would love to win. My EDC tactical pen has a glass breaker end. Awesome but limits the use of the pen as a weapon of it’s needed. This looks like just what I’m looking for.

I always carry a pen with me when I leave home but I don’t have a tactical pen(yet). A tactical pen will be a great addition to my EDC.
Used to carry two UZI tactical pens...until I attempted to fly with them...again. TSA 'supervisor' Cota-Robles decided he wanted them, so they were declared 'contraband' and went from my jacket to his pocket.
Great video. I purchased the swat and rebel. Swat for EDC and the rebel for when I wear a suit. I also love the training course.

Hey Bruce, we are not in retail yet. The reason is that it is a lot harder to deploy products in retail than online. But we are working on a plan for may be next year :-)

I really do love The Atomic Bear's products. The quality and the functionality of their products rivals many other expensive and well-known brands. Their tactical pens, especially the SWAT and MTP-6 models, offer lots of features and are of great quality. I've been using their products and they hold up exceptionally well. I hope to get more of these in the future :)

I have one, and it is absolutely a wonderful pen. So nice I bought 3 more as Christmas presents for loved ones. If they need it, great... If not, still a really nice pen.

I own the rebel model and it is a superb tactical pen. I am anxious to see the SWAT model in person to potentially replace my current edc pokka pen.
Bo - the SWAT Pen is different than the Rebel. It feels a little heavier and has this more tactical look. I am SO glad that you like the Rebel pen! Wow. Thank you for sharing!
I've purchased a few of the Atomic Bear items, their tactical flashlight, the swat tactical pen, as well as the Rebel Pen...
They're all a necessity EDC, Go Bag, SHTF Bag, Just In Case Bag (whatever you call or pack in yours) - at least one of these should be included in every cache!
Unlike other Self Defense & EDC items, little to no training is needed; as well as they should be allowed almost - everywhere (not restricted).

Atomic bear makes great tactical pens. I have two: the Defender and the SWAT pen. The SWAT pen is bigger and bulkier than the Defender, but the Defender is quicker in the hand, has a different center of balance, and can operate a tablet/mobile device with the soft tip. I’ve been training with both of them, discovering which grip is best. For me, The “ice pick” grip seems to work the best, where your thumb is on the top of the cap. Both pens make huge holes in cardboard. They do indeed make holes the size of bullets. They can perforate soft tissue very easily. I would hate to be on the receiving end of a strike from either one of these pens. They also write pretty nicely too!

It's a great pen as well as emergency tool. That is why I bought one for my wife, a good friend, and myself. It's one of the best writing pens I own, and I own a lot of pens.

I love the atomic bear pen I have now and have used it a lot. An in my line of work it is nice to know that you have a pen that you can count on to do a multitude of different things.
Chris is spot on. I purchased an MTP-6 TP a while back. I was so impressed that I bought for a family member. Easy to use! And discrete. I hope to never have to use it other than to write! And boy does it write smoothly. But should I...it will be a problem for someone else. I insist that my family member carry it on daily jogs! Check it out.
This is a great pen! Very informative video! The SWAT pen is a great every day carry pen. I really like that's it's not flimsy and that it doesn't have buttons or switches.

I love tactical pens due to their low profile/discreet carrying ability when I can't have my knife. I edc both but there are times I can't have my blade on me. My Rebel pen from atomic bear is awesome...
