The only edge you could have in roulette is impossible without cheating which is a crime that is punishable by law, and that strat is wheel clocking. To do that to any sort of meaningful degree without a cheating device is impossible for a human, we just aren't fast enough to do all that math in a fraction of a second and still have enough time to place our bets down.

Have you ever thought of doubling then lower your wager for every win so when you do lose it’s less then your starting wager. For example you started at 5$ you lose which means your unit increases to 10$ you win twice reset back to 5$ if you win then make it 4$ win again next unit is 3$. Still fails, that's just literally a classic martingale. Ignore streets for a sec and let's use red black as an example. I place 35 on red, I lose, I place 50 still lose, say I double again to 100 and win, once you get the win you go back to 25 again this is literally the classic martingale and it is a known guaranteed loser.

If it wins wait for another situation where the two streets double for example 1,30,3 in that sequence one of the two streets has shown twice. If it loses I triple the bet. If that loses I stop there and wait for a situation where the street happens to triple so 1,30,3,1 now a street has tripled but it could also be 1,30,3,0 any combination of those 7 numbers that are exposed showing 4 times in a row. I then wager 4 units if that loses triple. And so on. My stop profit is usually 10% my loss stop is 2 progressions. So if a dollar unit to start I’d lose 200$. I completely understand that previous spins don’t dictate the outcome of future, I know the wheel has no memory, I know the odds are in favor of the house. I’m almost a diamond member on one site meaning I’ve wagered almost 1,000,000$. I do believe that probability plays a role meaning based on math I have a .7% chance of losing that first bet. I don’t like to chase a rabbit down the hole so I don’t I use math so emotion isn’t evolved. I also understand people win the lottery and those are drastically larger odds than what I’m doing. So of course there will be times that a group of 7 numbers repeats 7 times that’s why I go two progressions then stop. This system works for me. Let me see if explaining it this way helps. Say we look at the probability of red showing up 5 times. So red has a 18 in 36 chance and that's each spin, so roughly 50 percent, I know it's less but fuck it let's call it 50 for simplicity. So the odds of 5 red in a row assuming 1 red is a perfect 50 percent would be 0.5 X 0.5 X 0.5 X 0.5 x 0.5 which equals 3 percent. However just because that specific occurrence only has a 3 percent chance of showing doesn't mean shit because each spin of the wheel red still has that 47. Something chance of showing. Now I'm not gonna calculate out your combined house edge on these bets but just let me tell you it's quite high. You are almost looking at a 10 percent or more house edge for your combined bets. If you were a flat better betting say a 100 bucks a spin you'd actually expect to lose in an hour, oh yeah in an hour, not long term anywhere between 10 to 50 dollars an hour if we factor in variance which we must. As a pro blackjack player who uses Ken Uston's card count, let me tell you, variance is very real and very hard to survive even in craps which I also advantage play. So far this is only if you are flat betting, if we factor in how you wager and your progression we would have to define a session, figure out how long that is, calculate out your average bet and based on your average bet I could tell you exactly how much you should expect to lose per hour and even give you an exact range factoring in variance. Essentially it would end up losing you way more than flat betting and I doubt your bankroll is big enough to sustain the losses not that it would matter because you're not playing with an edge quite the opposite. If you were playing with say a 2 percent edge, we could plug everything into the Kelly Criterion, set the confidence value at 99 percent and get a very accurate estimate on how big of a bankroll you need given your 2 percent edge to guarantee a 99 percent survival rate meaning that should you incur variance , it won't knock out your bankroll. Playing any other way is just straight up gambling. That being said, if you wanted to use rare statistical trends as your trigger well... Now you're onto something; however, it's not as easy as you think. I am currently working on such a theory myself with baccarat given the built in advantage banker has over player. Problem is, I have to pour over hundreds of thousands of data sets to find anything reliable. To be fair this might be far easier on betting decisions that are not 50/50 which makes roulette a top contender for this idea. But don't be fooled, even tho we are talking about the same idea my approach is way more involved than yours. My idea came about from wheel clocking if you can believe it. I set out in a quest to debunk wheel clocking and guess what? I proved it instead, problem is there is no way to clock it fast enough, identify the quadrant to bet on and get your bets out fast enough without using a cheating device which is illegal so that's why for now, roulette remains unbeatable but I don't think it's impossible it's just that there are way better games to play. Also the fact that you play online means you see way more decisions in an hour than you would at an actual casino so you're probably bleeding out closer to a 100 bucks an hour if we assume your average bet is around 100 bucks. I sincerely hope this has helped you in some way, I truly mean well. That's why I gave you the knowledge I currently possess on almost everything gambling.
my theory with 17 again strategy is allowing the jackpot hits to win more because it's fewer bets that lose each roll. with it being 29 per tier, and wait for 3 total miss before going up a tier, I haven't seen it go beyond 3k bankroll before recovering. I continue to test it though, and comparing to multiple variations I've done with the scorpion strategy
if you wanna test it, do the 4 corners around 17 for 1 unit each. 5 units on whatever line (double street) bet you want in either the 1st or 3rd dozen, 10 units on 2nd dozen 10 units on 2nd column. if trying it, pay attention to that there are near break even wins, and then there are jackpot wins. I count the total misses and if a jackpot win hits I subtract them, only level up on the bad streak. With the jackpot hits it comes back like crazy and do a regression or reset.

You can't magically make high house edge bets win more, that's why they don't win more, because they are high house edge bets.
