The plan was always for Sam to b a short term thing so they could spend on other areas. KOC is who I put my money on and his ability to develop a QB. Like McCarthy for example.

If Darnold proves he’s just this good now, then sign him to a long term deal and see if you can’t get a player or decent pick for JJ. Darnold is 27 years old. If you wait a year and sign a 28 year old qb to a 3-4 year deal, it’s not that risky of a gamble as signing a 34 year old qb lol.
