Hey! I made a tumbler like similar to this last night and then it started leaking at the rim where the top goes. Any idea how to fix it with throwing the entire cup away?
Clean as best as you can and seal the whole outside with epoxy. It’s the only way. I noticed some of the acrylic cups do it even though they are supposed to be fine. Once I do a coat of epoxy they haven’t leaked
Ricky Chavez water can mold unless it’s purified water. Contact solution is also saline and won’t mold. They have the same effect so I’d stick with the contact solution personally.
Hey! Where did you find the tumbler wi tbh out little air holes around the top? I ordered one just like this from eBay and when I was filling with water/oil it would leak out of the actual rim not the Center of the cup… now it’s not usable :( xx

I don’t really care for glycerine because then you cannot use fine glitter it will clump and it’s oily/slimy. I usually have issues dealing the cup if I use glycerine

you have to drill 2 holes on the opposite side of each other,for pressure in and pressure out and you wont get any bubbles. hope that helps

I think it’s just the glitter not the mixture of your solution. Chunky glitter has given me issues.
glycerine will always clump fine glitter this is why o avoid it you can also do baby oil

a lot of them actually leak from the rim you have to wipe with alcohol and epoxy the whole thing in that sense some are from the stainless steel depot

you’ll think your filling it to the top but there will always be some sort of air bubble a small air bubble is fine just not huge

Quick question, why do you need the laminate sheet if you are using epoxy to seal the bottom?
So o used the laminate to have a seal between the liquid and the epoxy, especially if using oil or glycerin
@@moocrewcreations9393 are there alternatives to that if you don’t have laminate sheets or uv resin? I have pop tape and was thinking of trying that.

Griffin blanks you will have to coat in epoxy if you fill it for a shaker as they do leak till coated once in epoxy.

Martha Bickford unfortunately anything double walled is not dish washer safe. It can break the seal and also epoxy is not dishwasher safe
