      @@MeandMyShadow-u3c Ok, was a 530 chain spec'd for your 1974 Z1? I use a 630 on my 77 KZ1000
      and it works the best. I had a 530 on it before (all i could get at the time) and it stretched like mad. Like i has to adjust it WEEKLY. The 630 stretches very little.

      @@zman5727 Yes a 630 non o-ring standard chain was spec'd for a 1974 Z1. There is a sticker underneath the seat that states the dealer will only replace the chain once under warranty. In 1975 they went to a 6.30 o-ring chain which was wider and had many new parts. A 630 sealed (o-ring chain) will not fit on a 1974 Z1 but a 5.30 chain will. With new metallurgy in 2021 a good 530 will last longer and wear better than anything produced in the 1970's. If you go to 23.43min of part one, all the parts and part#'s are shown
