For me this was one of the best films I've ever seen. Cried my damn eyes out. Beautifully done on all levels. So, so damn good. It really makes you think about your own life, relationships and the purpose of it all. This film moved me to floods of tears, left me bawling out loud. Can't praise it enough, congratulations to all involved.
Deserves so much more credit. Truly the best movie I've ever seen. Low budget with nothing but an incredible script and good acting. A movie that hits you like a sledgehammer.
i cant even watch this trailer, now 7 years old, without bawling my eyes out ; truly an amazing film, MASSIVELY underrated ; this is a film that has stuck with me for over half a decade now and its depth and meaning will likely be with me for the rest of my life ; thank you to everyone involved in the production of this artwork ; know that what you shared has opened many eyes that were closed previously
Justin Hopkins i know man. the first time seeing this was such a powerful experience, and the only thing that sucks is nothing will ever be equal to that first time. Such an underrated movie.
kevdawg55 I agree. I thought the film did a good job at making us question what we would do and I even felt some of the same emotions. It's interesting to think that in the vastness of the universe a civilization could be dealing with something like this as we speak. Nothing's certain.
It's so nice to see my local city burning for once. I suppose this is common if you live in New York or Los Angeles, and every apocalypse movies is set there.
One of the best movies I have every seen. Total underrated. Together with Melancholia the most depressive movie I have ever seen but it was to terrible well made. These Final Hours made me cry and when it ends I was not able to move myself.
Sad that such a solid and thought provoking film was largely ignored because it was perceived to be yet another subpar Australian film. Well worth checking out.
well the trailer is garbage and over dramatic. I gave it a chance and was amazed but that was because several people insisted and reviewers praised it.
Just watched this and it was genuinely phenomenal. I like to think Hollywood took notice of how emotional and character focused this disaster film was and applied it to Greenland (easily one of the best disaster movies to ever come out of Hollywood). Really excellent performances, too.
Ah man you have no idea. I had first watch this movie after being up for a few days and coming down from meth. Ended up passing out but waking back up at that part and immediately felt my heart beginning to drop and beginning to fight back tears.
@@jamesbond9975 I hope your off the meth man because the future needs people who will fight to stay alive. Will you be a "James" and fight for someone ???
I cried like a baby. James should of made her come with him. Even though she wanted to die with her dad, he was dead, and she was just a child. She died alone, and she was scary for her. I cried my eyes out
Fantastic movie. It hit me hard and I couldn't get rid of the sense of existential dread for a couple of days (and I started googling near earth objects that may collide with us.) Ultimately, the message I took is whether it's 12 hours or decades, we all have a finite amount of time left to us. How do we want to live and what kind of person do we want to be?
sounds like u got the msg crystal clear then =] ; the clock started ticking long before any of us were ever born ; how we spend the time we have been given is the true measure of us ; memento mori
Apophis 2029 is coming between the moon and the earths orbit. Will come as close as 2 earths spans to the earth...may take out satellites. If they calculated it wrong it may very well hit earth. Turn to Jesus...He is coming soon.
How would I spend my 12 final hours? 12 hours at my shift and then breath a sigh of relief probably. Shows you how precious time is and how little ours is worth.
I highly recommend it. It's hard to make a really powerful film while avoiding the many cliches normally used to heighten our emotions. The preview does not do it justice at all and makes it seem like a normal film.
Well I seen it just now... Frikn intense from start to finish, best Aussie film in years, very convincing, so glad I supported it. Thanks for a great movie.
When I was a teenager, my older brother had me read a story by Larry Niven called “Inconstant Moon” about the world ending at sunrise because the sun went supernova. I read it, was totally fixated by the story and thought about for a,long time. One question I asked myself was what would I do in a situation like this. After forty years, I know now. I would,d say goodbye to my siblings, go and the biggest thickest steak dinner with all the trimmings and then go back to my place and spend the rest of the time praying.
Good trailer, but this is that rare case where the actual movie blows the trailer away. This is a move that you can't stop thinking about after you watch it. One of my all time favorites now.
I've had to comment again. I can't express how good this film is. I cry my fuckin eyes out every time I watch one particular scene (no spoilers). This is a beut. Watch it. Watch it. Watch it.

Red dog, crocodile Dundee, Animal kingdom, Mad Max, wolf creek, The Heart Break kid, Moulin Rouge!, The Dress maker, the water divider, The man from snowy river, Hacksaw Ridge, The Great Gatsby, Happy feet and The Reef to name a few. Hell yeah we would!

and they wonder why aussie females love american men.
I love this movie. I think it accurate reflects how most people would react to world ending event. The ending is something I love.

Hahahaha 😂
Why cereal?
