Times like these are so hard on babies and, therefore, their parents. Remember the story of the two mothers who agreed to eat their babies during the siege? Horrors can await those who have such little ones.

Christ upon the Mount of Olives rehearsed the fearful judgements that would precede His second coming: Ye shall hear of wars & rumours of wars.. nation shall rise against nation & kingdom against kingdom & there shall be famines, and pestilence, and earthquakes in diverse places
All these are the beginning of sorrows[Matt24: 6-8] . While these prophecies recieved a partial fulfilment with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD they have another more direct application in the last days. (Testimonies5 p753)
The Saviour's prophecy concerning the visitation of judgements upon Jerusalem is to have another fulfilment, of which that terrible desolation was only a faint shadow. In the fate of old Jerusalem we may behold the doom of a world that has rejected God's mercy & trampled upon His law.

Angels are now restraining the winds of Strife that they blow not till this world shall be warned of it's coming doom, but a storm is gathering ready to burst upon the earth. And when God shall command His angels loose the winds, there will be such a time of trouble as no pen can picture.

Satan will then plunge the earths inhabitants into one great final conflict. As the angels of God no longer restrain the fierce strife of human passions, the whole world will be involved in ruin more terrible than that which came upon Jerusalem of old.

How can we teach that Abomination of desolation will be set up in the last days, without linking it to Daniel 12 ? We use only Matthew 24, even though Jesus in Matthew 24 linked this sign with Daniel's prophecy?
Of all the visions Daniel saw, Daniel 11 and 12 expressly, i.e., plainly used the words "Abomination of desolation. Daniel 9 mentioned it but not in those words. It says there that DESOLATIONS ARE DETEMINED Daniel 9:26-27 KJVS
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be ad cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come SHALL DESTROY THE CITY AND THE SANCTUARY (PHYSICAL DESOLATION); and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war DESOLATIONS (PHYSICAL DESTRUCTION) ARE DETERMINED. [27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations(ACTS OF ABOMINATIONS) he shall make it(JERUSALEM AND THE SANCTUARY) desolate, even until the consummation, "AND THAT DETERMINED SHALL BE POURED UPON THE DESOLATE (SPIRITUALLY DESOLATE)".
SO, in fact, with regards to Christ's prophecy, as relates to the nation, we can see that even though Daniel did not use the words ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION expressly, Christ clearly saw that Daniel's vision relating to earthly Israel referred to ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION BEING SET UP.
Does it make any sense therefore that Jesus' reference to ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION will not include Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12?
If we see Christ's statement about ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION as a reference to Daniel's prophecy, why is it that we disassociate the LAST DAYS ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION from Daniel's prophecy?
But such is the error of historical teachers. They use only Matthew 24 as support for the LAST ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, but fail to associate it with Daniel, as Christ did. These teachers give the impression that the only ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION Christ associated with Daniel's vision is that of AD 66.
They do this in order to avoid the truth that Daniel 12 ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION is still future, and as such the 1260 DAYS is still future and literal.

I'm sure in his part 2 he will discuss the verses in Daniel 12 and 11. I would think that it's important to lay the foundation of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 for their literal local fulfillment of the destruction of Jerusalem since Christ was in these verses pointing to the fulfillment of Daniel's words in 9:26, 27, which Luke 19:44 also points out. Jesus often directed hearers to the time of Daniel's prophecy during His ministry on earth (Matthew 26:18; Mark 1:15; Luke 21:24; John 7:6, 8). How could he not? It was His death that would herald that the ending of the 70 weeks was near (Daniel 9:24-27). Christ longed for His people to bring in righteousness, but they would not (see also Matthew 23:37, 38). Dear brother, Daniel 8:9-14 very clearly connects the establishment of the abomination of desolation to the 2300-day prophecy timeframe. The 1290 prophecy spoken of in Dan 12:11, corresponds with the history contained in Daniel 7:8 & 7:20, 24 and and the series of events that happened in Daniel 11:30, 31. Also, Daniel 12:7 connects the 1290 to the 1260 (i.e. 42 months), the history of which is in the same aforementioned verses. These are closely linked (as they should be) because they both have to do with the horns--- the 1290 pointing us to the securing of 7 horns that remained (work of Clovis), while the 1260 points us to the end of the three horns that were described as plucked up (work completed by Justinian, as we also see in Revelation 13:2). This is what allowed the little horn to become "more stout than his fellows" (Dan 7:20) and "magnified himself even to the prince of host" (Daniel 8:11). Daniel 11:30-40a very clearly discuss--in great detail--the rise and fall of the papal power during its reign from 6th - 18th century A.D. Inspiration says that the history of Daniel 11:30-36 will be repeated, which we see clearly happening in Daniel 11:40b-45, Revelation 13:3, 12, & 17:8, 11. If you read carefully, Matthew 24:15-30; Mark 13:14-26; Luke 21:20-27 are really a reiteration of Daniel 11:31-12:1, 2, with each account providing more completeness to the story. And much like Christ mingled the end of the world with the destruction of Jersusalem, so also is Daniel mingling end time events with the past events of the rise of the papcy. In our day, its rise will happen through her daughters, who form an image to the beast like we see in Revelation 13:14, 15; 17:10-15; Daniel 11:40-45 (see also Ecclesiastes 3:15). Brother, please know that I'm not writing this response to debate, rather, I pray that individuals will be inspired to study the beautifully linked chain of these prophecies for themselves. Important events happened between 34 AD - 1844 AD, and those include the times of the 1290 & 1335 and the events of Daniel 8:14 & Revelation 14:6-8, and even Zechariah 1:20, 21 - 2:1-7. The 2300-day prophecy is immovable. The 1260, 1290, and 1335 all belong within it. Individuals who rightly proclaim the passing of all time prophecies in 1844 (historicists, as you say) have the testimony and declaration of Christ Himself in Revelation 10:6 on our side--there is no greater evidence than this. Like His presence in the burning bush, Christ stands in the waters of Daniel's prophecy and announces "that there should be time no longer." .......Thus, "Put off thy shoes from thy feet" in the presence of this prophecy "for the place where thou standest is holy ground." "Let him that readeth understand" and "the wise shall understand."
Daniel 12 began in 2020.
We are living in the abomination of desolation. Look at the world. This abomination will end in 2023 and Jesus will appear in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus was cut off in the midst of the 70th week for the last 3 1/2 yrs at which time He sent the holy Spirit. The holy Spirit is cut off for the last 3 1/2 yrs before Jesus returns and the abomination of desolation is set up.

Keep in mind the Sabbath was given in Eden before the Jewish nation ever existed and it’s the only one that begins with “Remember”. The apostles never promoted Sunday worship and Jesus never instituted a new day of worship.
Something fascinating about the new covenant … Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” God wants to write His law on our hearts.
The final conflict in Revelation comes down to worship, worship the beast and his image, or “worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Rev.14:7. That’s almost a direct quote from the 4th commandment. In Revelation 14 God sends a message to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people to warn them about not worshiping the beast.
We are saved by grace. No one has ever been saved by their works. God has only and always had one way to save mankind "the everlasting gospel" Do we still have sin in the world today? How does the Bible define sin? It says sin is lawlessness, breaking God's law. 1 John 3:4 It's clear from the Bible, Matthew 1:21 that Jesus came to save us from sin and he intends to, with our cooperation remove sin from our lives. He intends to give us victory over every sin that besets us. He will not leave us in the same mess He found us in. It's unbiblical to think God saves us and then leaves us to stay in bondage to sin. So if I know that stealing is a sin and I refuse to stop where does that leave me? In rebellion. Rev. 3:5 is clear, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life…" A true saving relationship with Christ leads to a life of obedience to His commands and that includes His Ten Commandments. This is evidence of walking with Christ, not something we do to earn salvation. The Sabbath is a gift of resting in Christ, and the Bible gives us abundant evidence to pinpoint that day. The Scripture is also clear, there is another power that has attempted to change that day of rest and it will lead to a final choice for mankind in the end. Worship God according to His Commandments or Worship the beast on the day he has chosen.

Considering Daniel 9:24-27 from the Hebrew Script. It is known that the Masorets inserted 'Tradition' into Script by using Vowel Pointing. When reading 9:24, the first two words are the same in Hebrew: שבעים שבעים SHaBAYaM SHaBAYaM or Seventy Seventy. The Masoret Vowel Pointing changes the Second Seventy translating it as 'Weeks", Hence the 'Seventy Weeks'. The Hebrew, Seventy Seventy indicates 'Two Calculations' each beginning with 'Seventy' shown in the next verse.
Daniel 9:25, reads, ...the going forth of the Command to Restore and build Jerusalem - Until - Messiah the Prince, Seven 'Weeks' - and - Sixty Two 'Weeks', in the Translation. 70x7=490 plus 62x7=434 Total= 483. No start or end years are indicated leaving it open to speculation.
WITHOUT THE MASORET VOWEL POINTING
It should read, Seventy (not weeks) Seven - and - Seventy (not weeks) Sixty and Two.
The Decree of Cyrus: 70x7=490 plus 7x7=49 Total= 539, the Year of the Cyrus Decree in 539 BC
The Birth of the Messiah: 70x7=490 minus 62x7=434 Total= 56, the Year of His Birth in 56 BC
HIDING THE BIRTH OF THE MESSIAH
Is it possible that the Masorets were trying to hide the explanation of Daniels Prophesy with their 'Traditions'? It would seem so! Iinterestingly, if we take 483 years away from 539 BC we have 56 BC. If we add 70 years to 539 BC we have 609 BC, the Year of the Destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon.
