I have relished the drama from beginning to end, and because I have, it didn't sit well with me that the characters so well sketched out over the 14 or so episodes suddenly undergo transformations in the last two episodes, especially Heedo. She suddenly becomes blind to the pain and suffering of the post 9/11 world, and only focuses on what it does to her relationship. This wasn't the understanding and empathetic heedo we saw glimpses of earlier. She doesn't take into account what baek yijin is going through. Also she chooses to marry somebody else when clearly she is still hung up on him ( hello 2521 atelier and red car, and her reaction to seeing him in that interview). So no, it will be very hard for me to come in terms with the ending. And it's just my humble comment based on what I saw. And doing so is my right as a viewer. As it is yours, To accept what was depicted.

This is a true love story. Most young love stories end sadly because they grow up and grow with different goals. Realistically, though, they still love each other later on in life, and Hee Du's mom knows it. It was evident when Hee Du's mom made that comment, she saw Baekijin and Heedu had that look of love on her face. Sometimes reality just sucks. This show is the best. I Cried, and still cry every time I see some parts of it. Hope they work together again, because they played their roles to the tee! Standing ovation. Please give them both an award👏👏👏 Feeling the emotions.
i finally feel okay after more than one year of finishing this drama. i was hurting all the time. i couldn’t accept the fact that they didn’t get a happy ending. i was not able to watch any drama, movie, series or anything all this time. finally i feel better. it’s time to say goodbye. i wish every na hee do gets a happy ending with her baek yi jin. i hope you guys get casted in a new drama with a happy ending. this drama will always stay with me.
I don’t think anyone else could’ve portrayed Na Hee Do or Baek Yi Jin the same way Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk did, both amazing actors! This drama is so hard to recover from because it felt like we went on this journey with them too 😭

One of the best drama I’ve watched. The storyline is so real, beautiful filmed, and great casts! Until now, I still can’t get over with the show. It hit me hard! I wish I had this kind of beautiful, mature ending with my ex in my 20s. Definitely will rewatch again and again …even though I cried near the end.
My little Taeyang gang I miss you so much 😭❤️ Thank you for all these moments of nostalgic youth that I can look back on when times are tough. The chemistry was just magical both on and off set and really made it such an immersive experience. I’m not much of a K drama watcher so I have only recently started to give Nam Joo-Hyuk recognition. I started Twenty Five Twenty One when it first came out. But it took me a while to get into and finish as it was slow paced and again I didn’t give the characters much attention. It was only in the last 3-4 eps did I really begin to actually recognise NJH and his acting talent. I’m not sure when the exact moment I became drawn to him, but he is currently my favourite k drama actor (and quite the handsome chap too) I have actually watched one of his previous dramas, school 2015, which I watched 3 years ago. He was a lot younger then and new to the acting game so his acting didn’t really stand out to me. But after watch 2521 , I realised how much effort he must have put to bring his character to life. I finished start up yesterday (again I’m late to the K drama game) and i actually felt like he did a good job there too, but I think he became overpowered by the second Male lead. With 2521, as he was the Male lead and wasn’t in competition with another guy, I really think it helped give him the spotlight he deserves. I finished 2521 a month ago and the ending still makes me sad 😭 Moving onto his chemistry with Kim Tae-Ri, I can see that his comfortable around her. I have been watching some of his BTS and interviews with other female leads, but the chemistry he has with Kim Tae-Ri is unmatched. I did not see this level of chemistry with him and Bae Suzy (although from watching their interviews I can tell they are good friends). I don’t believe him and Kim Tae-Ri will get together as she’s not interested in dating and he has a super busy schedule, however you can tell there is a fondness between the two which is nice to see. NJH also seems like a sweet and humble guy which is nice to see. I’m buzzing for NJH next project, vigilante. I’m glad he is accepting a role different to the typical love story ones that he has been in. It will be refreshing to see him in a action and thriller role and I am counting down the months. And it seems shortly after this role, he may enlist in military so he won’t be appearing on our screens for a while. Nonetheless, NJH is at the peak of his career and I wish him well for his future projects!

Life is tough, love is hard, forever doesn't really exist, only thing consistent in life is gravity, we get it.. but it's dramas like 2521 that gives us a brief respite from reality.. and to have the ending be so cruel, not only to us but to the two main characters so lovingly etched by Kim Taeri and Nam Joo Hyuk, its too much!
get over it 😭 just think of the good times they've spent together rather than solely focusing on what was there conclusion. because in some occasions, the journey is greater than the destination; and I'm sure hee do and yi jin would've wanted to think of their relationship as that. and please be considerate of hee do! after going through so much with the early relationship of her mother, i don't want her to be constantly neglected again just because i want her and yi jin to be together. it's just a very selfish and skewed perspective to demand something like that, no hate

@@lalalalalala6367 Funny, I saw the exact opposite of your view. I saw him change to an extend that was unbearable. He lost his empathy and most of all loyality for his friends. Things that made him the person we all liked at the beginning. He betrayed his long time friend for a story/his career - did not even think about the pain and the suffering she and her parents will go through until it was to late, he closed his door to the person he said he loved too and blamed her for it when she could not bear it anymore and broke up. How in the world should HeeDo have shown any simpathy or understanding for his pain and what he went through during his 9/11 job when it was him not telling her anything about it, not even that he will stay there? She did not know what happened to him and even then she would not be able to understand fully what he went through because she was 6000km away in a complete different situation. She still supported him, she tried to cheer him up because she only saw he changed but did not know why he changed so much because he closed her out of his life, he even pushed her away with his decision to stay in NY not even telling her he applied, or asking her to come with him. At the end he was an absolute egoistic, cruel career journalist without the slightest empathy for his surroundings his friends loyality towards him was the only reason they keept him in their circle or at least tried to keep him. I could not even feel sorry for him being emotionally alone for the rest of his life like HeeDo mome was for a large chunk of hers until she finally could open up about the feelings she had for her husband and his death and she finally decided to open up to her daughter who she emotionally nearly wrecked with her behaviour.

Both 25/21 and 39 were extremely well done series with difficult endings. They showed deep love and friendship in believable ways. They were exciting and heartbreaking. As well as comforting. They are exhibits of why Hallyu is better than Hollywood.
They have not much skin ship or fan service, but they did make all of us fall in love with them. I thought the BTS would be different from the original one. But that's okay seeing both of them again always made my day. 🧡

Honestly doesn't matter for what scene and at what age, it HAS to be a thrilling experience to be picked up by Nam Joo Hyuk.

Dear Makers of 2521, please give us an alternative ending to 2521. Life is tough, love is hard, forever doesn't really exist, only thing consistent in life is gravity, we get it.. but it's dramas like 2521 that gives us a brief respite from reality.. and to have the ending be so cruel, not only to us but to the two main characters so lovingly etched by Kim Taeri and Nam Joo Hyuk, its too much!
get over it 😭 just think of the good times they've spent together rather than solely focusing on what was there conclusion. because in some occasions, the journey is greater than the destination; and I'm sure hee do and yi jin would've wanted to think of their relationship as that.
and please be considerate of hee do! after going through so much with the early relationship of her mother, i don't want her to be constantly neglected again just because i want her and yi jin to be together.
it's just a very selfish and skewed perspective to demand something like that, no hate
@@jaehyunsdimples2671 I have relished the drama from beginning to end, and because I have, it didn't sit well with me that the characters so well sketched out over the 14 or so episodes suddenly undergo transformations in the last two episodes, especially Heedo. She suddenly becomes blind to the pain and suffering of the post 9/11 world and the deep mental impact it has on Yijin, and only focuses on what it does to her relationship. This wasn't the understanding and empathetic heedo we saw glimpses of earlier. She doesn't take into account what baek yijin is going through. Also she chooses to marry somebody else when clearly she is still hung up on him ( hello 2521 atelier and red car, and her reaction to seeing him in that interview). So no, it will be very hard for me to come in terms with the ending. And it's just my humble comment based on what I saw. And doing so is my right as a viewer. As it is yours, To accept what was depicted.
That's how I felt too. I didn't expect the ending to be so sad. If I wanted sad I would just shut off my laptop and live in reality
@@lalalalalala6367 Funny, I saw the exact opposite of your view. I saw him change to an extend that was unbearable. He lost his empathy and most of all loyality for his friends. Things that made him the person we all liked at the beginning.
He betrayed his long time friend for a story/his career - did not even think about the pain and the suffering she and her parents will go through until it was to late, he closed his door to the person he said he loved too and blamed her for it when she could not bear it anymore and broke up.
How in the world should HeeDo have shown any simpathy or understanding for his pain and what he went through during his 9/11 job when it was him not telling her anything about it, not even that he will stay there? She did not know what happened to him and even then she would not be able to understand fully what he went through because she was 6000km away in a complete different situation. She still supported him, she tried to cheer him up because she only saw he changed but did not know why he changed so much because he closed her out of his life, he even pushed her away with his decision to stay in NY not even telling her he applied, or asking her to come with him.
At the end he was an absolute egoistic, cruel career journalist without the slightest empathy for his surroundings his friends loyality towards him was the only reason they keept him in their circle or at least tried to keep him.
I could not even feel sorry for him being emotionally alone for the rest of his life like HeeDo mome was for a large chunk of hers until she finally could open up about the feelings she had for her husband and his death and she finally decided to open up to her daughter who she emotionally nearly wrecked with her behaviour.
4:48 was such a cute scene. NJH played this character so flawlessly

Both 25/21 and 39 were extremely well done series with difficult endings. They showed deep love and friendship in believable ways. They were exciting and heartbreaking. As well as comforting. They are exhibits of why Hallyu is better than Hollywood.
They have not much skin ship or fan service, but they did make all of us fall in love with them. I thought the BTS would be different from the original one. But that's okay seeing both of them again always made my day. 🧡
