- This video is my opinions and reaction to the CNN video in which their correspondent based in Hong Kong, a Mr Ivan Watson interviewed a Uyghur man who is now a kindergarten teacher in Norway, as well as an unknown man who claims and "proves" that he is a former police officer from China, by simply showing up in a police uniform and showing some xerox A3 sized print outs, who escaped China but is keeping his identity a secret to "protect" his family still in China.

This line of questioning by Ian Watson is so farcical and there is no factual evidence at all. All he need to do is to obtain the location of detention centers and I believe, it would not be that difficult to verify his claims. He can also ask for any names or evident to collaborate his claim. Wearing a police uniform for a media interview! That beat the lot! If he is a real ex-police, it would not be that difficult to determine his real identity from his rank, insignias, and his head features, his length of departure from the police force, and from China, etc. The statement by CNN that they cannot independently verify his claims is most laughable, especially, with that kind of accusatory opening statement. Even a movie script writer can do better than this. What a joke. CNN must think all viewers are that dumb.
This is how the media in US works, this is only the first part of CNN starting a ‘story with speculation / accusation”. Then the circus will start when other media / talk shows picks up the story & in progress of time, they will even extend the storyline with more dramas. However, when the crunch comes, when being challenged for the facts. No parties will be hold responsible as tracing back to source, CNN has clearly said that they can’t verify the details in the statement made by ‘Jiang’. Bigotry, low morality & indecency at it’s worst.

For the people who can't reading Chinese, the "detention center" entrance shows in CNN video says "Kashgar Special Economic Zones Lab Laboratory School", which is a very common name for middle school or high school in China. And the security guy wearing a uniform generally from security service firm, which is definitely not a police uniform.
Can anyone explain why this ''policeman'' has no photos of the alleged torture. Everyone has a phone. We have plenty of photos of the US torture camps at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay.

This man testified as a witness at the Uygher Tribunal being held London, which makes nonesense of this whole interview. Putting aside whether he was or was not a policeman or the rank which he had claimed to have attained in 10 years of service, he had already testified that he did not see torture, did not partake in torture, has no knowledge of rape or sexual misconduct, nor could he describe all the claimed torturous acts being performed. Essentially that meant he had no evidence to give to the tribunal which the tribunal could use to make its final assessment. This is why CNN added the unable to verify clause at the end, as his answers here were contrary to those given under oath to the tribunal.

When I was a kid, I’ve always thought that US was good and always helping around the world. Dad would always say, wait a few years, time will tell. I didn’t understand nor bothered to think deeper. When I read reports or watched the news saying bad stuffs about China, I thought them as backwards and bad in some sense, and dad will say the same, wait a few years, time will tell.
Now that I’m older, with my own kiddos, have proper education and understanding, it seemed like what I’ve perceived in my childhood are polar opposites. Then I’ve travelled to China extensively for business and what I’ve experienced is not what was being reported from the western press. We need more such videos being made, to extract the ‘real’ truth and expose the instigators. We Asians love peace, harmony. Certainly not warmongering bullshit we’ve been getting from the west day in day out.

Has anybody spotted the contradiction? "Q: How many of the people that you arrested in Xinjiang do you think were actually violent extremists? A: None. Q: If you didn't carry out the arrests, what would happen to you? A: Then I would be arrested as well. Because that means I too am a part of a terrorist organization. I become their enemy." In the first answer he wants us to believe there are absolutely no violent extremists in Xinjiang. And in the answer to the next question, all of a sudden there is talk of people belonging to terrorist organizations. Did anybody else notice?
You just hit the nail on the head. The two answers revealed CNN were really the biggest fool. First the ex police said there was no extremists, next he confirmed that there were extremists. Every sound minded people knew that there had been many terrorist attacks there before funded by dirty hands. Clearly tells us he was not even a policeman but a traitor sold to the west for big bucks.
If he was really one when he escaped from China would he cares to bring his whole complete uniform? The logic was he was a paid actor. He would had removed all sort of identification or labels lest that he be caught.

There's these letters "喀什市特区实验学校" marked on the top arch of the front gate, which translates as "Kashgar SEZ Experimental School." (basically a private school despite the seemingly odd nomenclature). The US can build as many bases as it wants, slap as many sanctions as it wants, recognise whatever bogus genocides it wants. That’s what it’s been doing all along. Has any of it made a difference? China can adapt to any situation. It took China a mere ten years to go from being barred by the US Congress from participating in the “International” Space Station, to building its own Space Station from zero.

A classic example of how an interview can be nudged along a pre-written narrative. As opined, this "interview" with all its leading questions merely led to an affirmation of the "interviewer"'s thinly-veiled suggestions. It only makes a mockery of the 'award' and the trashing of it by the "award- winning" interviewer; if the award is one worthy of any esteem. Good work, Noel. We need more video exposés like this.
