The Revell Germany Fw-190D in 1/48th was a D in disappointment, it's just a re-box Eduard. They got me on that one, I figured "GREAT A NEW TOOLED Fw! WRONG! I've got both of the Hasegawa's kits in 1/32nd those are nice! Hey Rachel looks good even in plastic! Nice job!
Thanks again for another detailed review as always. The only problem I could see was with the crew figures for 'Fantastic Voyage'... Raquel Welch did appear to be somewhat ... out of scale. :)
Her hair does seem a bit tall. Truth be told, I think all of the figures have exaggerated features, but I think that will make them look better through the big canopy on the Proteus.
Do you think that Revell Spitfire is from completely new tooling, or is it like most other 1/72 scale Revell aircraft kits just a rebox from a, say, 1990's kit? Got both a FW-190 and a Hurricane from Revell, both from the late '90's, and i'd like to see some new tooling from Revell.
I might be alone on this but I wish manufactures would release models on subjects not already kitted not keep making and remaking subjects like Spitfires Mustangs etc many great models of these subjects have been covered please move on to new unreleased subjects and for the love of the model Gods do them right the 1st time thank you
Unfortunately it's a question of economics, Spitfires and mustangs sell, rarer more obscure aircraft are less likely to sell in quantity. There are some more obscure types being made by Airfix nowadays like the Supermarine Swift but it is rare for a main stream manufacturer to cover unique subject matter.
I could listen to Elisabeth talk about torsion springs all day
Always enjoy your reviews.
Hi FSM you two must have the best jobs in the world. Thanks for all the reviews you do. Keep up the great work . All the best Dave.

God yes, thank you. So sick of the same stuff over and over.
Sounds like this was recorded in a cave!.
"Highly recommended! Because we got these kits for free, and if we want those free kits to keep coming, we HAVE to give a positive review."
Not another Abrams!
i mean Matilda, sorry.
