I found this explanation very easy to understand. As with your other tutorials, they are very clear and easy to understand. The way you attach to the ring is one of the best presentations I've seen. These techniques could be applied to so many things. Gorgeous!

I am just now finishing this, thank you for this video. I made a hammock for my daughters stuffed animals. The only part I was kind of confused was, where we did the first slip stitch across the sides to decrease. I wasn't sure where exactly I was supposed to do that first decrease, but other than that your explanation was great. Thank you :)
Loved this tutorial, very clear and so easy to follow!! I didnt use the beads but still love how it came out because the design is just so pretty! Thank you so much ✨
A great explanation even if you don't speak English very well 😅 this won't be my last mini hammock. Instead of the wooden rings, I used small metal D-rings, which are a little easier to handle when crocheting

This is one of the nicest wall hammocks I’ve seen yet and I’ve been searching!! Thank you so much. I’d like to make mine a bit bigger than one shown. I would imagine i would just make my chain longer? Is the foundation chain made in multiples of a certain number? Can’t wait to make this! Thank you❤

I just found this and wanted to make one for my granddaughters stuffed animals. Do you have a larger size pattern? I saw a picture of The Hanover hammock that had 10 or 12 tassels and was hopping for one that looked like that and would be bigger.
You can make it as big as you like following the pattern concept. Make your foundation row a multiple of 12 + 5 and then continue making rows until it's the desired size. I hope this helps!
i made this and it was beautiful but i used it to store fruit and when the fruit went mouldy the mould got on the yarn and I ended up having to throw the hammock out. Do you know if I should use a different kind of yarn or maybe wire instead?
@@DaysCrochet yeah, I washed it with bleach and even cut out the mouldy bit and re-crocheted the section with new yarn the first time but then it happened again and I thought maybe the yarn I used was more prone to mould than other materials

Hello! I want to make this hammock for my nursery. I think the whipped cream would look great, but I can’t find that specific yarn and color anywhere as it is out of stock on website and amazon. Is there another yarn brand/color you can recommend for me that is as similar as could be to your creamy ones in the photos? Please advise and am super excited to make this! I’m also going to try your grocery bag holder. Thank you 🙏
That's a bummer! My current favorite cotton is Yarn Bee Cotton Fundamentals. They have one in Ivory, which will be slightly different in color and a little rougher in texture . Hobby Lobby also carries a cream-colored cotton in their I Love This Cotton line, but it will be slightly bulkier weight, so your hammock will turn out a little bigger. Perhaps check Hobby Lobby and see what they have🤞🏼
Thank you so much for responding so promptly. I made your grocery bag holder and I just love the design it is so pretty. Very happy with the tutorial as I am kind of beginner. Love your videos. I ended up getting this brand of yarn you show here in a tricolor they had available that is pink, cream and light blue. still looks very nice. Starting hammock today. Thanks again love your channel and definitely trying more of your designs 😊
Dominica Ng thanks! You’ll have to slow the video down in your settings. I also have a detailed written pattern that has been tested and has several photos. You can find it in my Etsy shop Dayscrochetnc or in Ravelry at www.ravelry.com/designers/dana-hogan.
It is essentially a craft glue that is permanent. It keeps the yarn from fraying without making the ends/tips hard. It keeps your project looking fresh. You must have purchased my newer hammock design, the Hanover Hammock. I can’t remember off the top of my head but I feel certain I mention the stitch multiples needed to improvise in that pattern. I recommend reading through the entire pattern prior to starting. I hope that makes sense!
My daughter just found this idea and wants me to make one for her new kitchen. What material and what size hook did you use? I can hardly wait to make it. I want some as well.

Hello and thank you for this! I have a question: Multiples of 6 meaning 6,12,18,24 or 6,16,26,etc..? Might be a dumb question but wanted to make sure! Thanks in advance
Hello! So I've watched this video a few times now & am seeing that this project seems to be quite simple! Much thanks to your slow and clear descriptions (helps to know a little, too, so I know what your side comments mean). I'm working on this project now & have decided to chain 72 on my foundation chain, and adding 5 this makes 77 total chains.. Now, before chaining I ran some mental math & already guessed this would be off - considering the first row calls for "every 5th stitch" - but I have crocheted my first row anyway to physically see this, in case I might miss something.. Once I do the V Stitch in every 5th chain, I'm left with 2 at the end, just as I suspected. A "double st, ch 1, double st" in the very last chain (2 chains after my previous V stitch) creates a crowded, non-uniform look at the end.. If creating a foundation chain of 48+5 or 84+5 (or many combinations that equal a # not evenly divisible by 5) the "every 5th stitch" direction would also be an issue... *Is the foundation chain really supposed to be multiples of 12...? Perhaps is the first row able to be done with every 4th stitch, or something of the like?* I appreciate you taking the time to offer your knowledge and skills!
@@rachelleitz3867 I'm not sure if you figured this out, but she says to skip 5 and then work the v stitch, so you actually work in the sixth stitch. Hope this helps. 💜
I would use a size 3 DK weight, preferably a cotton or a cotton blend (especially if you’re making it for fruit). I give a list of all supplies I used in the description box. I hope this helps!
