  • Title: IoT Overweight and Overspeed Detection in Bikes with Auto Alarm and Engine Locking Feature
    Abstract:
In recent years, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has been on the rise in various domains to enhance safety and security. One area of application that holds great promise is the integration of IoT in the realm of two-wheeled vehicles, particularly motorcycles and bicycles. This abstract outlines a system designed to address the issues of overweight and overspeed detection in bikes, and it includes automatic alarm triggering and engine locking mechanisms to enhance rider safety.
The proposed system combines various sensors and IoT devices to monitor the real-time status of a bike and its rider. These sensors include:
    1. Weight Sensor: A weight sensor is integrated into the bike's frame or seat to detect overweight conditions. If the weight exceeds a predefined threshold, the system triggers an alarm.
    2. GPS Module: The system uses a GPS module to monitor the bike's speed and location in real-time. When the bike exceeds the predefined speed limit, an alarm is triggered.
    3. Accelerometer: An accelerometer detects sudden and unsafe movements or accidents, such as a crash or a fall. In such events, the system automatically sends an alert to a predefined contact or authority.
    4. IoT Connectivity: All the data collected by these sensors is transmitted in real-time to a central server or cloud platform through IoT connectivity.
The system also incorporates the following features:
    - Alarm System: In the event of overweight or overspeed detection, the system triggers an alarm, which can be an audible alarm on the bike and a notification sent to the rider's smartphone.
    - Engine Locking: To prevent further movement when an overspeed or overweight condition is detected, the system has the capability to remotely lock the bike's engine. The rider can only restart the engine after the issue has been resolved and the alarm has been acknowledged.
    - Mobile App Integration: The rider can interact with the system through a mobile app, which provides real-time information, allows for remote locking/unlocking of the engine, and provides a history of alerts and violations.
This IoT-based system for overweight and overspeed detection in bikes with auto alarm and engine locking features aims to significantly enhance rider safety and security. By integrating sensors, IoT connectivity, and real-time monitoring, it helps prevent accidents caused by excessive speed and overloading. The automatic alarm and engine locking features ensure that riders are immediately alerted to safety concerns and can take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
