The interview with Vic Smith was probably the best model rail related interview I have watched/read! What an amazing layout or model he has. Good to hear Vic's story on how he got into the hobby, not being a die hard train enthusiast and just wanting to make models which is how I got into rail modelling. Thank you. All the best Anthony.

Wow thank you for sharing Vic's layout. Just speechless from the video, can't even image seeing that in person. Talk about a "Master Modeler". I think all of us have asperations of having such a layout...Vic surely has set the bar of city scenes to aspire to in building a railroad.

Let's start off with Mr. Vic Smith! The "City's Edge" layout is "Railroad Art" He didn't miss a trick about anything on the layout! Outstanding job..Vic! I love the segment about the scenic grass by Jason! Just awesome! I love those new Amtrak Chargers by Bachmann! Just an outstanding job! This is "The World's Greatest Hobby" Till Next Time! I must say Vic Smith's layout is a true example of small scale realism. The level of detail and quality of this masterpiece is remarkable! A layout where the focus is the landscape and the trains are like backround players is as close to 1:1 as you can get. Mr. Smith, kudos to you. Fantastic!!

I really enjoyed the interview with Vic Smith. I've always been in awe of the City Edge layout. The buildings, the details and the grime are just out of this world! A real inspiration to anyone wanting to create a city scene. I'd love to know more about his custom bay window facade and his method for creating it. Thank you

Another wonderfully informative episode. Vic is an artist in every sense of the word. I will definitely be using some moss mating when it comes time to scenic my layout which is undergoing a major renovation after 20 years.

Oh yeah, Vic Roseman was a big inspiration for photogenic model railroad dioramas back in the 80s.
The moss mat idea is great. I’ll have to keep an eye out for these.

Victory Smith 's layout reminds me of Rod Stewart's layout which is set in New York in the 40's.

Ken, thank you once again for another great segment!
Vic Smith’s model is truly amazing, you don’t see that type of detailing to often, you’ve found a prize winner, in my opinion.
Love the trick with the roll of moss, I’m gonna use it on my add on/extension but just wondering what it will look like in N scale or do you know if he’s ever used it for an N scale diorama?
Thanks again for the video. Ron

What an incredible layout! And what about all the details on it (as the Beatles crossing the street - Abbey Road street?). Just fantastic ambiances as well, such as the thunder. Love it 👍👏

Thanks for answering Vic. I really appreciate your layout as a french american railroad modelling fan. Very inspiring.
My own layout (a french industrial one) is far far smaller and less detailed than yours, but I try to do my best.

Hi what an awesome RUclips channel it is the best one out there hands down the best.
I have just gotten started in the hobby and starting to build a 3 kit diorama - The Railroad Truck Camp by Brett Gallant of SierraWest.
I am and have been on the search for good quality figures and vehicles in the O Scale which is what I have chosen to work in.
I have found Bachman and Woodland Scenics but as I look at these videos I ask myself where did these individuals find the figures that they have in their layouts.
Not sure if you can help me but if you can please do as in my perspective it is the vehicles and the figures that tie the diorama together.
    Blessings
