In case you're wondering, this should be the max price that you should pay for each part (in Canadian Dollars) Ryzen 5 3500X: $60.00 AMD Wraith: $5.00 MSI A320M A-Pro: $65 32GB DDR4: $60 TB SATA SSD: $60 AMD RX 5600XT: $150 EVGA 600BR: $40 Bitfinex Nova: $85 Total Price: $525.00 CAD [~$360.00 USD] But you can even get it for under $450 CAD [~$310.00 USD] if you snipe some good deals - Good Luck!
@itzzz_ryze used build, not new - can't really find a 5600XT sold for new, alongside some of the other parts (like the CPU) - and prices in different countries varies a lot. I know some places where a 5600XT or something similar would be about 250$ CAD (after conversions) due to their economy, can't speak to everyone in this video, but for my general audience and from where I'm located (North America), this is about the prices you should expect.
Hey man what do you think about the Vega 64 as a competitor in this price bracket? I got mine off an ebay auction for just under 80€ which is about 120 CAD and benchmarks say it's the equivalent of 1080 in performance. This card ran everything I threw at it max settings 1080p even after a sizeable undervolt. Very nice video btw. Back when researching how to build a PC and what parts to get I'd appreciate coming across this type of content more often.
The Vega 64 is a great card alongside the 56, they perform great, the only major grip that I have with that series is that they no longer receive full driver support from AMD. Still a great card with lots of modern features and some amazing performance, but it's honestly disappointing that AMD dropped full support for these card. For about 120$ it's definitely a pretty nice option if you don't care too much about the driver support issue.
I would’ve spent a few bucks more and got an NVME drive and an A520 motherboard. That way you can utilize Gen 4 support and have faster loading speeds.
i owned this card 2020-2022, and i hated it's guts, the driver timeouts and hard crashes were abysmal and its the reason i did not keep it longer than it was useful for. happy it worked for you tho.
Drivers on launch were pretty bad have to admit, however the recent ones are a looooot better than before (at least from what I've seen, used about 5 of these cards in 2024 and had no issues).
i got a 1080 ti with 12gb for a good price. that was the only better offer and only found one at a good price. for many games at 1080p a 5600XT performs well at this price.
aye good video bro youtube really coocked with this recomendation can you make a video of cheap graphics cards for low end gaming? i know a couple cheap graphic cards like the AMD FirePro W5000 arround 20 bucks on ebay ands its 20% better than a GT 1030 but can you investigate a little bit more for a whole video?
I can give it a try whenever I can find a cheap deal, however, I'd likely recommend getting the GTX 900 series at that budget, lots of cheap cards [about 30$ or less] that have good performance [i.e. 970, 960, 950]. Try looking on your used market (like FB or Kijiji if you're in Canada), lots of cheap and good GPUs, gotten some 10$ GTX 1060 6GB on a really really good sale. I'll give your idea a shot when I find a cheap GPU.
